Julia Pastrana

Julia Pastrana, a Mexican Indian, was born in 1834. She had hypertrichosis terminalis; that is, her face and body were covered with straight black hair. Her ears and nose were unusually large and her teeth were irregular.

Theodor Lent discovered her and purchased her from a woman who might have been her mother. Lent taught her to dance and play music and took her on a worldwide tour with the name "Bearded and Hairy Lady". She also learned to read and write in three languages. Eventually they were married and she became pregnant.

During a tour in Moscow, Pastrana gave birth to a baby with features similar to her own. The child survived only three days, and Pastrana died of post-birth complications soon after.

Lent did not abandon the tour; he contacted a Russian professor named Sokoloff, had his wife and the child mummified and displayed them in a glass cabinet. He eventually found another woman with similar features, married her and named her Zenora Pastrana. Totally full-blown batshit crazy, he was eventually committed to a mental institution, and was never seen again.

The mummies disappeared from the public view. They appeared in Norway in 1921 and were on display until the 1970s when the Norwegian government threatened confiscation if they were not withdrawn from the public. The mummies were stolen in 1979 but later recovered and stored at the Oslo Forensic Institute where they were rediscovered in 1990 and sold on eBay.

Yib was the highest bidder and later retracted his bid, due to a conflict of decorum with the missus. A second chance offer was made and smee took it for $AU 49.00 (plus shipping).

HUMAN ECHOLOCATION

Ben Underwood had his eyes surgically removed at the age of three due to cancer. He discovered human echolocation at the age of seven and now uses it to accomplish such feats as running, rollerblading, foosball and playing video games. Human echolocation involves creating an environmental image by hearing echoes bouncing from those objects. It is similar in principle to sonar and to the animal echolocation employed by bats and dolphins. Human echolocation has been studied since at least the 1950’s but is still not completely understood. Ray Charles was said to use a variation of the technique by wearing hard-bottomed shoes, the change in sound alerted him to when we had passed through a doorway. However, very few people have mastered human echolocation to a superhuman level like Ben Underwood.

Ben passed away January 19, 2009. He was taken by the same cancer that claimed is sight and leaves behind a legacy of inspiration few will ever match.

Later when one of the workers goes to use the D9 it starts running on its own and starts killing the workers.

In the meantime, they realize that there is more to the tail of Rhea-M than they initially thought.

SV Bell's Crawler is simply about a bulldozer that wants to kill all humans, and that's way scarier than any crappy hybrid killing machine. I applaud the attempt to bring back anything Maximum Overdrive-ish. Ron Culley, aka Ron Tello here.
I'm having major sewage blockage issues here.
It's in the alley pipe.
I've had it snaked, at great expense 4 times in the past 12 months.
Nothing is getting better.

My 4" pipe (wrapped in working Heat Tape) has been on the "Old System" far too long and this needs to be corrected ASAP!

I have in excess of $2,000.00 of new plumbing installed here. It would be nice to have it function properly.
Particularly when I've been paying my Bills for 5 years.

Please contact me for further analysis and solution.

I received your e-mail and your two phone messages this morning when I arrived at the office. If you have an emergency please call my cell phone 775-934-1358 or call Elko Dispatch and they will contact us. We are out in the field most of the time and don’t always receive our office phone messages until the following day. I will come out and check into your situation today (2-5-2010). I want you to know that the line from your residents to the main line is your responsibility. Elko County is responsible for the sewer collection system. This includes the 8 inch sewer mains, manholes, and the collection ponds. If your service line to the system is blocked you will be responsible for the repairs. If you would like us to connect you to the sewer main that runs behind your property you will be responsible for the parts and installation. You would have to have someone dig on your property to install the new line. We would expose the main line in the alley and make the connection. If this is something you are interested in doing we can work out some of the details today.
