Leftists lose their minds over
Kyle Rittenhouse firing machine gun
and challenging Biden:
'Come and take 'em, Joe'

June 07, 2022
Kyle Rittenhouse on Monday posted a Twitter video of him firing a machine gun at a range, giving a thumbs up, and then saying, "Joe Biden, you're not coming for our guns."

What's more, the text of Rittenhouse's tweet appears to be a dare directed at the president: "Come and take 'em, Joe."

Biden has been pushing for more stringent gun-control measures following recent mass killings in Buffalo, New York, and Uvalde, Texas. In an address to the nation Thursday, Biden said "the Second Amendment, like all other rights, is not absolute."

How did folks react to Rittenhouse's tweet?
As you might expect, leftists didn't like Rittenhouse's post in the least — but their outrage at Rittenhouse has been on overdrive ever since a jury in November found he acted in self defense when he fatally shot two attackers and blew off the bicep of a third during rioting in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in the summer of 2020.

Here's a sampling:

"Is that a THREAT against the lawful PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES?" one commenter asked while adding a "Secret Service" hashtag.

"How about you go join the military like other Americans who want to legally shoot people. …or do you not like the potential of someone shooting back?" another commenter told Rittenhouse.

"What happens when a racist judge and jury let idiots go free," another user declared.
"President Biden has far more important things to do then [sic] to worry about 'taking' deadly playthings from a small-in-the-pants moron who doesn’t know his ass from his elbow," another user wrote.

"This definitely flirts with threatening a sitting president," another commenter said. "Firing off 100 rounds in 3 seconds and immediately bringing up the president of the United States in a propaganda video?" The user added "SecretService" and "POTUS" hashtags.

"F*** you, you little piece of s**t," another user said. "MURDERER!"
But not everyone was turned off by Rittenhouse's post:

"This kid has more heart than all the Texas police force combined," one commenter wrote.

"If someone were pointing a gun at you, and you had a gun in your hand, you would’ve shot them, too. It’s called saving your life from a potential criminal/deadly threat," another user said.

"He is not a murderer; in fact, he is a hero, one of the greatest of the last decade who defended himself from violent thugs who were destroying a community," another commenter wrote. "Honestly he deserves the Medal of Honor to serve as an example for every American."

BOMBSHELL No Birth Records for Any of the Uvalde Massacre Child Victims –
Connect the Dots! (Must See Video)

Here we are once again, a school shooting in which several young children were killed.. Or were they? Uvalde school is now set for demolition, just like Sandy Hook..

The following video exposing how NONE of these children had any birth records listed ANYWHERE.

Anyone can take an old photo of a person from a family album, and give it any name and birth date one chooses. When that person disappears without a trace, you can claim that was for any reason one wishes.

That appears to have been the method used for Sandy Hook. Was it used here as well? Certainly looks like it.

Life goes by fast. Enjoy it. Calm down. It's all funny.

-Joan Rivers

Joan Rivers was the definition of multitalented. A comedian, Emmy winner, Grammy winner, Tony nominee, and television trailblazer, she became the first woman to host a late-night network talk show with 1986’s “The Late Show Starring Joan Rivers.”

This quote isn’t just a mantra that Rivers preached but one she lived by. Her wit shined brightest while interviewing celebrities on the red carpet – even the biggest A-listers found themselves the subject of her biting humor, as she consistently prioritized being funny over being reverent.

Rivers herself was the target of many quips, but rather than let it get her down, she once again embraced humor, with self-deprecating comments such as, “I’ve had so much plastic surgery, when I die they will donate my body to Tupperware.” Rivers was an inspiration not only for comedians, but for all of us — a reminder to maintain a lighthearted attitude in our lives so long as we’re lucky to be here.

America is staring down a summer
of disasters

The U.S. is in store for another summer of extreme heat, hurricanes, droughts and wildfires — threats that are all escalating because of climate change.

The big picture: Parts of the Arctic are already burning. So are parts of New Mexico. After two years of especially devastating summer disasters, experts say the potential for catastrophe is only growing.

Summer used to be synonymous with freedom and fun. Now, the Union of Concerned Scientists, an environmental research and advocacy organization, refers to it as "the danger season."
How it works: The warmer season comes with inherent natural variability. When that piles on top of larger trends related to climate change, extreme weather events can vault from "rare and uncomfortable" to "unprecedented and deadly."

Threat level: To experts, it's clear that the ingredients are there for another destructive summer.

Already this year, New Mexico has had its largest wildfire in the state's history — and it's still burning. And the fire season has not yet fully kicked off in northern California, the Pacific Northwest, northern Rockies or parts of the drought-afflicted Great Plains.
The long-term megadrought in the Southwest, due largely to human-caused climate change, only exacerbates the fire risk. Drier conditions contribute to hotter air temperatures, further drying out soils and vegetation to make the landscape more fire-prone.
A searing heat wave is beginning to grip the Southwest this week, including Texas, threatening to stress the power grid. And the National Weather Service's seasonal temperature outlook anticipates above-average temperatures this summer for nearly the entire continental U.S.
Outside the U.S., the outlook can be even worse.

Heat came early this year in India and Pakistan. Temperatures soared above 120°F, setting new records as early as March. Researchers determined that climate change made the extreme heat up to 30 times more likely to occur.
In the Arctic this week, wildfires are already burning in northern Siberia and Alaska. The Siberian fire season may be more severe than usual due to the diversion of military resources away from firefighting and to the war in Ukraine instead.
Scientists are watching Arctic tundra fires and blazes in the boreal forest especially closely, given the vast stores of carbon and other greenhouse gases stored in the frozen soils.
"All of the environmental, oceanic, and atmospheric conditions are loudly pointing to elevated risk for the rest of the year," said Steve Bowen, head of catastrophe insight for Aon.

But he cautions that warning signs on paper do not always translate into "worst-case event occurrences." He emphasized the need for preparedness.
What they're saying: Climate scientists are preparing for things to get worse — not just in their work, but also personally.

Michael Wehner, a senior scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, said he has stocked up on HEPA air filters in case wildfires cause the air quality to deteriorate where he lives.
"Like many Californians, I am bracing for yet another fiery summer given the severe drought currently across the western U.S.," he told Axios. He is ready to relocate if air quality gets extremely hazardous. "Hopefully we will be spared, but it is prudent to be prepared."
"What concerns me, of course, is that many people cannot afford these expensive filters nor get out of harm’s way," he said.
What's next: Whatever swirling, broiling tempests the summer has in store, Wehner and the Berkeley Lab's Claudia Tebaldi said it's important to figure out how to mitigate and adapt to some of the impacts of these events.

Globally, the World Meteorological Organization, a U.N. agency, has undertaken a far-reaching, $1.5 billion initiative to bring early warning technologies to countries lacking such infrastructure.

We’re Naming Summer “Danger Season” in the US. Here’s Why.

Every year, as the calendar flips from May to June, I feel a sense of dread sink into my chest. By June 1 each year, the West’s rainy season is long over, hurricane season is likely to have kicked off, and the grim annual parade of heatwaves has begun. While summer is still summer and we on the climate team at UCS look forward to ice cream and late sunsets as much as anyone, there’s something we need to tell you: Climate change has transformed summer into our country’s Danger Season, and we’d best start seeing it as such so that we can adequately prepare.

Summer? Dangerous?! Really?! Yes. Really.
Aside from the annual exposure to wildfire smoke that all Californians endure, I haven’t been directly affected by climate-related disasters. But part of my job—especially part of my job during the summer—is remembering disasters past and communicating about those that unfold over the course of the season.

There’s a long list of disasters in my brain that serve as constant reminders of why I’m fighting for climate action.

I remember that Hurricane Sandy struck the New York City region in 2012 and know that the home buyout programs may not have reduced the vulnerability of buyout recipients to hazards. I remember that this September will mark the five-year anniversary of Hurricane Maria and know that the extreme inadequacy of our nation’s response to the hurricane means that the island is still plagued by major power outages and that the health of Puerto Ricans has suffered. I remember that federal relief funds went disproportionately to white victims of Hurricane Harvey’s massive flooding in Houston in 2017 while Black and Hispanic communities were largely excluded.

Then there’s the heat—Phoenix endured 53 days of 110° temperatures in 2020 and logged more than 300 heat-related deaths that year; the 2021 Pacific Northwest heatwave would have been virtually impossible without the “help” of climate change. And, of course, the fires. They grow ever larger and affect everything from majestic sequoias to tiny babies. Aspects of many of these events reflect broader trends in how extreme events are changing as our climate warms.

Sometimes this remembering is oppressive and the litany of disasters I feel rising in my throat as I talk to colleagues, reporters, and policymakers becomes a knot of ache that renders me silent. This summer, like many of my fellow climate scientists, I’ll try to recount the facts I remember and those I’ve been disciplined enough to write down for all the reporters who work tirelessly to tell the story of how we got here and where we should go from here.

But this summer, we also have a clear and critical message for those reporters, as well as our policymakers, and, really, everyone in the US:

Because of climate change, the months of May through October amount to Danger Season in the US and around the world. We need to understand it as such and bring our best efforts to reducing the climate-related risks we already shoulder as well as the worsening risks that lie ahead.

Summer is Danger Season. What does that mean?
Facts show that Danger Season is the season in which we experience most of our heat waves, hurricanes and tropical storms (and their attendant floods), and wildfires in the US, and it’s the season when droughts get exacerbated by hot conditions. Each of these types of climate-related extremes brings with it danger. Just as a grim sampling to paint the picture, exposure to extreme heat can bring on heat stress or heat stroke, the latter of which can be fatal; storm surge and floods associated with hurricanes can also be fatal, and long-term exposure to mold in flood-damaged homes can cause respiratory issues; and even short-term exposure to the poor air quality associated with wildfire smoke increases the risk of mortality.

During Danger Season these threats also compound one another and cause cascading chains of hazards. For example, the ongoing megadrought in the US Southwest compounds wildfire risks by drying out vegetation that then serves as wildfire fuel, and by making fires more difficult to contain. That very situation is playing out right now in New Mexico, where the Hermits Peak and Calf Canyon fire—the state’s largest fire on record—is currently burning.

And the risks from extreme events can cascade as they affect critical infrastructure. During 2021’s one-two punch of the massive heatwave that followed on the heels of Hurricane Ida in Louisiana in 2021, for instance, residents of the state were left without water or power for weeks. During a pandemic. In Louisiana, the inability to cool off in the wake of the storm ultimately led to more deaths due to heat after the storm than to the storm itself even as the storm travelled northward, wreaking havoc and claiming dozens of lives from Mississippi to New York.

How is climate change creating Danger Season?
Hurricanes, wildfires, droughts, and heatwaves have occurred throughout history, but global warming is changing the likelihood and severity of extreme events such that they pose greater risks to people. While it’s important to bear in mind that not every extreme event is attributable to climate change and that some aspects of these events are changing while others are not, there are some clear patterns that have emerged from recent research. Here are just a few:

The proportion of Atlantic tropical cyclones undergoing rapid intensification has roughly tripled and the number of hurricanes globally reaching the strongest categories has increased over the last four decades.
Since the mid-1980s, human-caused climate change changing is responsible for a doubling in the areas burned by forest fires in the western US and is increasing the likelihood of autumn wildfires in the region.
Human-caused climate change is increasing hot extremes around the world, including across much of North America.

In most regions of the globe–including the majority of the North American continent–extreme heat has increased since the 1950s. These areas are shown in pink. In most of those areas, the increasing trend is being driven by human-caused climate change. The number of dots in each hexagon indicates how confident scientists are in attributing observed trends to human activity. Credit: IPCC WGI SPM https://www.ipcc.ch/report/ar6/wg1
If you’d like to dive deeper into the topic of whether and how extreme events relate to climate change, you can read more in our 2018 fact sheet or in a recent roundup of studies evaluating the extent to which extreme events in 2020 were attributable to climate change.

What can we do to reduce climate risks?
Understanding the warm months in the US as Danger Season is important so that we can limit the severity and impacts of future Danger Seasons. First and foremost, we must reduce emissions alongside other nations because the greater our emissions in the future, the greater the impacts will be. And we can also be acting on several fronts to adapt and build our resilience to Danger Season. We can and must:

Learn from what we’ve experienced so far. On this front, there’s a wealth of information we can be drawing from. For instance, we know that recovery from climate-related disasters is highly inequitable and that longstanding policies have exacerbated these inequities. We know that certain groups of people are more at risk during climate extremes—elderly adults and people living within urban heat islands during heat waves, for example. And we see over and over again that our energy systems are fragile. Addressing our Danger Season risks will mean distilling what we know from countless studies and turning that knowledge into more robust and equitable means of preparing for climate extremes and recovering from them after they’ve occurred.

Urban neighborhoods with little tree cover can be substantially hotter than surrounding areas. People of color and people with low incomes disproportionately live within these urban heat islands and are therefore disproportionately exposed to extreme heat. Credit: AP Photo/Bebeto Matthews.
Learn from models of what is working. Despite the increasingly heavy toll exacted by extreme events, there are many clear examples of systems and places that are successfully prioritizing risk reduction. Improved storm-tracking capabilities are enabling greater community-level preparedness; Communities such as Philadelphia are working with local health departments to make sure data on heat-health outcomes are incorporated into local heat warning systems. Maricopa County, Arizona, is tracking and reporting heat-related deaths—making accessible data that researchers normally have to hunt down. And in California, since the passage of heat-protection standards for outdoor workers in 2006, heat-related injuries among those workers have declined by about 30%.
Develop a national resilience strategy that addresses the risks of Danger Season. While there are existing programs within many federal agencies that aim to build climate resilience, there is currently no national strategy to build that resilience in an equitable and proactive way. A national resilience strategy that encouraged households, communities, and states to prepare for disasters ahead of time—rather than primarily responding to them reactively—would help tremendously. Also needed is a recognition that people and communities often require support for years as they recover from a disaster such as a hurricane or wildfire. We need policy makers who would champion efforts to develop a cohesive plan for building climate resilience nationwide. As candidates head out on the campaign trail in advance of elections in November, we can all pay attention to what candidates are saying about climate resilience and use our voices and votes to demand attention to these issues.
Recognize that we’re far from the only ones suffering, then help. Danger Season is far from a US phenomenon, as my colleague, Rachel Cleetus, explains in her latest blog post. People in poorer nations around the world disproportionately suffer the impacts of climate extremes made more likely, in large part, due to the heat-trapping emissions from wealthier nations. We cannot simply stand by and let this happen.

Summer is changing. Waking up and recognizing Danger Season for what it is now—and what it could be in the future—is a critical first step to building our resilience to it.

Cannabidiol (CBD)-what we know and what we don't

Cannabidiol (CBD) is often covered in the media, and you may see it touted as an add-in booster to your post-workout smoothie or morning coffee. You can even buy a CBD-infused sports bra. But what exactly is CBD? And why is it so popular?

How is cannabidiol different from marijuana, cannabis and hemp?
CBD, or cannabidiol, is the second most prevalent active ingredient in cannabis (marijuana). While CBD is an essential component of medical marijuana, it is derived directly from the hemp plant, a cousin of marijuana, or manufactured in a laboratory. One of hundreds of components in marijuana, CBD does not cause a "high" by itself. According to a report from the World Health Organization, "In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential…. To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD."

Is cannabidiol legal?
CBD is readily obtainable in most parts of the United States, though its exact legal status has been in flux. All 50 states have laws legalizing CBD with varying degrees of restriction. In December 2015, the FDA eased the regulatory requirements to allow researchers to conduct CBD trials. In 2018, the Farm Bill made hemp legal in the United States, making it virtually impossible to keep CBD illegal – that would be like making oranges legal, but keeping orange juice illegal.

The Farm Bill removed all hemp-derived products, including CBD, from the Controlled Substances Act, which criminalizes the possession of drugs. In essence, this means that CBD is legal if it comes from hemp, but not if it comes from cannabis (marijuana) – even though it is the exact same molecule. Currently, many people obtain CBD online without a medical marijuana license, which is legal in most states.

The evidence for cannabidiol health benefits
CBD has been touted for a wide variety of health issues, but the strongest scientific evidence is for its effectiveness in treating some of the cruelest childhood epilepsy syndromes, such as Dravet syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS), which typically don’t respond to antiseizure medications. In numerous studies, CBD was able to reduce the number of seizures, and, in some cases, stop them altogether. Epidiolex, which contains CBD, is the first cannabis-derived medicine approved by the FDA for these conditions.

Animal studies, and self-reports or research in humans, suggest CBD may also help with:

Anxiety Studies and clinical trials are exploring the common report that CBD can reduce anxiety.

Insomnia. Studies suggest that CBD may help with both falling asleep and staying asleep.

Chronic pain. Further human studies are needed to substantiate claims that CBD helps control pain. One animal study from the European Journal of Pain suggests CBD could help lower pain and inflammation due to arthritis when applied to skin. Other research identifies how CBD may inhibit inflammatory and neuropathic pain, which are difficult to treat.

Addiction.
CBD can help lower cravings for tobacco and heroin under certain conditions, according to some research in humans. Animal models of addiction suggest it may also help lessen cravings for alcohol, cannabis, opiates, and stimulants.
Is CBD safe?

Side effects of CBD include nausea, fatigue and irritability. CBD can increase the level of blood thinning and other medicines in your blood by competing for the liver enzymes that break down these drugs. Grapefruit has a similar effect with certain medicines.

People taking high doses of CBD may show abnormalities in liver related blood tests. Many non-prescription drugs, such as acetaminophen (Tylenol), have this same effect. So, you should let your doctor know if you are regularly using CBD.

A significant safety concern with CBD is that it is primarily marketed and sold as a supplement, not a medication. Currently, the FDA does not regulate the safety and purity of dietary supplements. So, you cannot be sure that the product you buy has active ingredients at the dose listed on the label. In addition, the product may contain other unknown elements. We also don’t know the most effective therapeutic dose of CBD for any particular medical condition.

How can CBD be taken?
CBD comes in many forms, including oils, extracts, capsules, patches, vapes, and topical preparations for use on skin. If you’re hoping to reduce inflammation and relieve muscle and joint pain, a topical CBD-infused oil, lotion or cream – or even a bath bomb -- may be the best option. Alternatively, a CBC patch or a tincture or spray designed to be placed under the tongue allows CBD to directly enter the bloodstream.

It also comes in fruit-flavored soda pop, and Tello Research INC has determined it can have the effects of a mild sedative, with forgetfulness side-effects.

Outside of the US, the prescription drug Sativex, which uses CBD as an active ingredient, is approved for muscle spasticity associated with multiple sclerosis and for cancer pain. Within the US, Epidiolex is approved for certain types of epilepsy and tuberous sclerosis.

The bottom line on cannabidiol
Some CBD manufacturers have come under government scrutiny for wild, indefensible claims, such that CBD is a cure-all for cancer or COVID-19, which it is not. We need more research but CBD may prove to be a helpful, relatively non-toxic option for managing anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain and smee.

Without sufficient high-quality evidence in human studies, we can’t pinpoint effective doses, and because CBD currently is typically available as an unregulated supplement, it’s hard to know exactly what you are getting.

If you decide to try CBD, make sure you are getting it from a reputable source. And talk with your doctor to make sure that it won’t affect any other medicines you take.

CBD: What You Need to Know
Before You Try

Hey Kids!

The reported health benefits of CBD cover a variety of conditions. It is most commonly used to treat chronic pain, anxiety, inflammation, insomnia and chronic internet posting fatigue.

It seems like everywhere you look, products infused with cannabidiol, better known as CBD, are being advertised as the latest and greatest wellness product.

You can buy CBD juices, creams, oils, vape pens, candies, and even dog treats. It's often billed as a natural cure for a wide variety of health issues.

Many patients are interested in finding more organic remedies, so it's understandable that interest in CBD is rising.

But what is CBD and is it safe to use?

"We're not here to say no. We're here to help guide you toward safe and effective healthcare decisions."

What is CBD?
CBD is a chemical compound found naturally in the cannabis plant. It does not contain tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive component of cannabis responsible for making users feel "High", "Loaded" or "Stoned".

"There's a misconception that CBD and medical marijuana are the same thing and that's not the case," says Dr. Jeffrey Chung, director of the Cedars-Sinai Epilepsy Program. "CBD on its own is not psychoactive."

CBD can either be derived from marijuana or hemp—cousins in the cannabis family.
The legality and availability of CBD depend on the source and state laws. Hemp and hemp products are legal in all 50 states, while recreational marijuana is currently legal in just 9 states, including California.

What are the health benefits of CBD?
The reported health benefits of CBD cover a variety of conditions. It is most commonly used to treat chronic pain, anxiety, inflammation, insomnia and chronic internet posting fatigue.

One study showed that CBD may relieve pain by affecting receptors of the endocannabinoid system, which helps regulate pain, mood, and memory, in addition to many other physiological and cognitive functions.
"There hasn't been enough clinical research done with humans to recommend specifics products or strengths."

There is also strong evidence that CBD can help patients with smee and seizure disorders. In 2018 the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the first prescription medication containing CBD to treat epilepsy.

"CBD as a treatment for seizures isn't new. We've been talking about it for several years now," Dr. Chung says.

"We know that CBD is an effective treatment for some types of seizures, but it's important to understand that it's not a cure-all. Sorry."

According to a 2017 report from the World Health Organization [PDF], CBD may be a useful treatment for other medical conditions but more research is needed before making definitive conclusions.

"Patients are trying this and some people say they get benefits and others don't," says Dr. Janet White, medical director of the Cedars-Sinai Integrative Health Program.

"There hasn't been enough clinical research done with humans to recommend specifics products or strengths."
"There's a misconception that CBD and medical marijuana are the same thing and that's not the case."

Side effects and safety concerns of CBD
Reported side effects of CBD include dry mouth, drowsiness, lame thread posts and low blood pressure.

The biggest concern about CBD is the lack of regulation. Most CBD-infused products are marketed as supplements, which are not regulated by the FDA. Regulation is done at a state level and each state takes different approaches to ensuring product safety.

"You don't always know what dosage you're getting and what ingredients might actually be in it," says Dr. Chung. "There are a lot of variables in what you could be getting."
(READ: "Snake Oil")

What's the bottom line?
Before trying any new health-related product, you should do your research and speak to your doctor to discuss your individual risk.

"CBD is fairly safe but there's always potential for interaction with other medications," says Dr. White.

Dr. Chung adds that it's important to not be embarrassed to talk to your doctor.
"We're not here to say no," he says. "We're here to help guide you toward safe and effective healthcare decisions."

U.S.—A new study has found a connection between having thousands of unread emails and your
likelihood of becoming a serial killer.

According to the research, those people who don't even bother clearing their tens of thousands of unread email notifications on their phone or computer are "absolute psychos" and should be treated with extreme caution.

"There are a lot of warning signs when someone begins spiraling into psychosis or sociopathy," said MIT researcher Dr. Brett Harrett. "The most obvious one, of course, is leaving your emails unread. Like, seriously, how do these absolute madmen not just clear out the number? They just sit there with, like, 77,000 unread email notifications on their home screen and they're like, 'This is fine'."

"Well, I'm here to tell you—it's definitely not fine."

The survey looked at hundreds of serial killers over the last couple of decades, and all of them had one thing in common: killing people. But all of them also had a second thing in common: their iPhones, laptops, or desktop computers had that little red notification saying they had 10,000 or more unread emails, and they just left it like that. The absolute psychos.

They also had hundreds of desktop icons they never bothered to clear up, according to researchers.

Protocol Droid Fluent In Six Million Forms Of Communication Still Can't Understand What Biden Is Saying

WASHINGTON, D.C.—A protocol droid acquired to assist White House staffers in interpreting statements from President Biden struggled mightily in its first day on the job, in spite of being fluent in every form of communication in the known galaxy.

Said the droid, known as D-RP0, "I've translated blank verse in the language of the L’o Ll'o'lo people, who only have two letters in their alphabet. I worked on the peace negotiations between warring tribes of the planet K’pola, who communicate entirely in quotes from The Godfather Part III. But I’ve never encountered anything like this."

"I've been watching tapes of the president in my living room for days trying to come up with some sort of key to his language, to no avail. Oh, my aching circuits! I need to sit down."

Sources say the job of translating the President’s remarks into coherent English had become more than the humanoid staff could handle. They hoped that bringing in the protocol droid would streamline the process, in addition to allowing them to blame a machine for the really stupid stuff. Also, they believed it would increase their support among the gay robot demographic.

However, the first press event for the droid demonstrated the extreme challenge of the task. Commenting on a plan to waive tariffs for solar panels, Biden said, “Alternativial engines make for future tracker-acker bling blong, you know, Jack? I mean, for God’s sake, whizzer rabble in the honkey tonk, and January 6!”

After a several minute pause, during which a dark smoke poured from his processor case, D-RP0 explained to the gathered press corps, “I… believe the President is saying that he has to use the bathroom, maybe? Also, there’s a 32% chance that he just declared war on Bermuda. Oh, dear.”

Asked to comment on the droid’s performance, the Jawa who sold it to the White House responded by saying, “Utinni!” and waving a big handful of cash in the air.

Child Playing In Meadow Stung By Fish

YOSEMITE VALLEY, CA—A young child was stung by a fish Tuesday while frolicking through a meadow in Yosemite National Park. The three-year-old girl, daughter of George and Shelly Quicken, allegedly provoked the wild fish when she began picking flowers for her mother.

The Quicken family was surprised to see a fish in the middle of a meadow and even more surprised when it stung the young girl.

"I've never seen a fish move like that," said Shelly Quicken. "It was FLYING!"

"Now I see it every time I close my eyes. It flies through my nightmares," she wept.

George Quicken admitted he thought the whole thing was a joke until he saw the stinger in his daughter's thumb. He acted quickly, plucking out the stinger with a pair of tweezers and preserving the evidence for marine biologists.

"I don't understand it!" he insisted. "Climate change must have forced an early evolution. Now they are invading the land. Soon, they could be anywhere."

Park rangers say the fish was black and yellow in appearance and capable of flying through the air at an incredible speed. Unlike other fish, it is actually repelled by water, which means it could be anywhere at any time.

"Listen, it's called a bee," said Ranger Tetradomadon. "Some court classified them as fish to put them on an endangered list, but they're just bees. Ya'll need to relax!"

The Quicken daughter was hospitalized out of an abundance of caution due to her history of fish allergies. Curiously, doctors claim to have seen no allergy symptoms present themselves.

At publishing time, rangers have had to shoo fishermen away from the park's meadows. No Fishing signs now blanket the otherwise grand landscape of the majestic national park.

Is Ignoring The Other Side A Winning Strategy For The Left?

Ben Shapiro on Jun 8, 2022

This week, my company, The Daily Wire, premiered a blockbuster new documentary starring Matt Walsh. Titled "What Is A Woman?", the documentary investigates radical gender theory and its peculiar hold on the elites in our society -- and how the insane proposition that men can become women and vice versa has become so well-accepted that even normal Americans now live in fear of questioning it. The film has been the single largest success in the history of The Daily Wire; hundreds of thousands of Americans have subscribed to view it. Yet Rotten Tomatoes, the review aggregator for film and television, has not a single traditional review of the film.

That's because, according to the legacy and entertainment media, the film doesn't exist. When the Daily Wire press team sent out invitations to reviewers to watch the film -- knowing, of course, that the vast majority of reviewers are Left-leaning and would undoubtedly pan the film -- reviewers began responding with insults and declarations of preemptive hatred. "Hard pass," wrote one. "Unsubscribe," wrote another. "Lose my email. Forget my name." A third reviewer, this one a member of GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics, wrote, "Hard f---ing pass. I won't give that transphobic bigot a platform on my site. Never email me again!" Thus, the current Rotten Tomatoes audience score for the film is 96%; the reviewer score remains empty.

Reviewers' willingness to pretend that there is no controversy with regard to gender and sex perfectly reflects the Left's beliefs about transgender ideology more broadly. One gender reassignment surgeon -- a medical doctor who performs body-mutilating surgeries -- told Walsh that nobody believed in traditional ideas about biological sex anymore; only "dinosaurs" would believe such antiquated notions.

Such denial of the mere existence of a countervailing argument is a common feature of the Left these days. The idea is that by pretending opposition to bizarre ideas doesn't exist, you can mainstream those bizarre ideas. Thus, "everyone believes" that climate change is not merely a byproduct of human activity, but that it threatens life on earth; to deny the latter proposition is tantamount to Holocaust denial. "Everyone believes" that America is systemically racist; to do otherwise is to mark yourself as a bigot.

But what if everybody doesn't believe such propositions? What if there are millions of Americans -- the majority of Americans, in fact -- who believe precisely the opposite? Then the only option is to reinforce denial with censorship. Which is why former Barack Obama senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer went on the air at MSNBC to declare the very popularity of conservative viewpoints a threat to democracy. "Right wing content," Pfeiffer observed, "dwarfs progressive content (on Facebook). It dwarfs mainstream media content, which actually should be the part that scares us the most, that Ben Shapiro's Daily Wire has more followers and engagement, many times more than The New York Times or CNN... That is a problem for democracy."

Democracy, you see, simply means the Approved View. If the Approved View is somehow unpopular, that must be a problem of propaganda, which is in turn a problem for democracy. The only solution is to ban such propaganda, thus leaving a monopoly on behalf of the Approved View. If the echo chamber isn't strong enough to drown out the outsiders, simply silence those outside the chamber, then declare democracy safe.

There's only one problem: it won't work. Democrats have siloed themselves into an increasingly progressive universe, one in which the most controversial imaginable propositions are utterly uncontroversial. In this universe, the other side doesn't exist. Unfortunately for the Left, the other side does exist. And they vote. And come November 2022, the ostrich strategy of the Democratic Party and its media apparatchiks* is likely to bear devastating electoral fruit.

:tello: "FK YEAH! Smack those b!tches UPside!!!!"

* What is the meaning of a apparatchik?
apparatchik • \ah-puh-RAH-chik\ • noun. 1 : member of a Communist apparat 2 : a blindly devoted official, follower, or member of an organization (as a corporation or political party) Examples: The boss seemed to prefer apparatchiks to anyone with a glimmer of independent thought.

Rep. Sabatini Calls Democrats ‘Enemies of Freedom’ for Second Amendment Attacks

“These people are sick.”

Congressional candidate and state Rep. Anthony Sabatini (R-FL) condemned Democrats’ attempts to attack the Second Amendment, calling out the “hypocritical” efforts by those who “don’t believe in freedom” and “hate our country.”

After the House Judiciary Committee advanced a bill to raise the age limit for purchasing semi-automatic rifles, and Democrats like President Joe Biden pushed for even more gun control legislation in response to several mass shootings, Republicans are once again forced to step forward and defend the American peoples’ right to self-defense.

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News on Friday, Sabatini pushed back against the Biden administration and Democrats’ calls for bans on firearms while ensuring that their own security is not bound by such restrictions.

“Their total goal is not just to erase the Second Amendment, but any element of freedom,” he continued. “These are enemies of freedom; they want to reduce all of our freedoms.”

Sabatini went on to assert that the Second Amendment is “one of the most important freedoms,” noting that it “gives us the ability to resist and protect ourselves from unlawful authority, crime, tyranny and from the dangers of crime-ridden cities the Democrats created.”

“These Democrat cities [are] where people actually need firearms and it makes them uncomfortable that people have options to protect themselves, so they want to reduce it,” he added.

The Republican congressional candidate also accused Biden and his fellow Democrats of being jealous of countries like Canada which have “basically already erased [those rights guaranteed in] the Second Amendment,” claiming that the left in the U.S. is “trying to catch up.”

Sabatini pointed out the “hypocrisy” of the Democrats in ensuring that their own protection uses the same arms that they seek to prevent average Americans from owning, arguing that it could be attributed to apathy.

“They are hypocrites because they don’t really care,” he said. “They know full-well that they are creating rules that benefit them and don’t apply to them because in their minds they’re ‘enlightened leaders’ and believe they should be running our lives and in charge of every decision in charge of society and we should just obey.”

“We should be the surfs and they should be the nobles — that’s basically the way these people see it,” Sabatini added. “These people are sick.”

The Florida Republican went on to note that the Democrats’ hypocrisy was not limited to just gun rights.

“The same is true of climate change or any issue,” Sabatini said. “They are trying to come up with rules for the people they believe are their lessers — us, the people, the American people, the ‘deplorables’ — and a different set of rules for the ‘enlightened’ leaders.”

“They’re horrible people that hate our country,” he added.

According to Sabatini, Democrats “don’t believe in freedom” at all.

“It’s not just on gun rights,” he stated. “They would rather people be not allowed to make a lot of decisions until they are 21 or 25.”

“They just don’t believe in freedom,” Sabatini added.

The GOP candidate didn’t stop at calling out Democrats though. Turning his attention to so-called Republicans who have expressed their support for Democrats’ gun control efforts, he suggested that they should be voted out of office.

“Every last one of those RINOs needs to be primaried this year,” Sabatini said. “This is the year to take them out.”

“Every Republican that speaks up for gun control needs to be taken out in a primary, ASAP,” he added. “It needs to be a top priority.”

When asked whether he viewed the gun control issue as a distraction from the failures of the Biden administration, Sabatini said that it was a “mix between incompetence and evil.”

“There are days where they are just totally incompetent, like with the Afghanistan debacle, and there are days where it’s totally evil, like where they’re attempting to limit law-abiding citizens’ Second Amendment rights and erase God-given freedoms,” he responded.

“This is a giant sideshow and distraction and circus that they are trying to create to get people distracted from [historically high] gas prices and the border [crisis] and every other national issue, and Republicans that are playing into it are the biggest fools in the country,” Sabatini added.

He concluded the interview by accusing Biden of having “hatred” for the United States, and arguing that the president is in the process of “destroying” the country.

Sabatini’s interview comes soon after Biden spoke out in favor of more gun control while advocating for Americans to vote out Republicans who oppose his proposals, which include raising the age limit for purchasing rifles to 21, more “red flag” laws and requirements for locked gun storage.

Responding to these proposals, many Republicans have pointed out that none of them would have made a difference in most of the mass shootings in the past, and they are therefore just more virtue signaling from the left that will only have the effect of limiting the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Americans.

What is narcissistic monologuing?

Angela White
Monologuing means giving people one sided lengthy talk.

Narcissists love to talk about themselves. With they exceotion of covert narcissists who love talking about their misery, they only talk about the good stuff, not their past failures or mistakes. Sometimes they lie about their stories, other times they exegerate or twist them just a little to make them more impressive.

I found it really interesting to observe, they’re just like little kids who like to monopolise or interrupt the conversation, and they always see everything as a competition. Imagine a child telling another child “my dad bought me a dog yesterday”, then the other kid say “really? Well, my dad bought me 5 dogs yesterday”. That's how narcissists are.

Covert narcissists are the same, only instead of monologuing about their achievements, accomplishment and how fantastic they are, covert narcissits monologue about how miserable they are to gain attention and sympathy. If you tell them a sob story, they will dismiss it by telling you their even more dramatic sob story. They just have to be the most miserable and unfortunate people in the world.

Wayne Hardy
This is a fascinating question,

Often thought of as a rant, the mechanics behind narcissistic monologue are not complicated yet fascinating to understand.

Also known as insensitive talkers who dominate conversations, excessive chatters, as well as poor listeners, the narcissistic moonlighting is essentially an aggressive ear bending cerebral straining experiencing which occurs under the disguise of "conversation”.

The Narcissistic monologuing begins with them (the narcissist) initiating conversation by very innocently asking you an open-ended question for the purpose of getting you engaged in the conversation. They then let you speak for a very short time initially appearing extremely interested before suddenly jumping in, interjecting and taking over. Now you're caught. from the narcissists perspective they let you speak (albeit for a short time), so now you're indebted to them.

Kyle Rittenhouse Vows to Hold Facebook, Big Tech ‘Accountable’ for Defamation

Kyle Rittenhouse and his new attorney, Todd McMurtry, have vowed to hold Facebook and Big Tech “accountable” for their actions in defaming the teenager both during and after his murder trial.

McMurtry, who was a member of Covington Catholic student Nicholas Sandmann’s legal team, recently joined Rittenhouse’s legal team to help file defamation lawsuits against public figures and media outlets who made false accusations and statements about the teen.

Rittenhouse was acquitted of all five felony charges brought against him after an incident in August of 2020 during a riot in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where he was forced to shoot three individuals in self-defense, killing two and wounding the third.

Speaking on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Rittenhouse discussed how the media and Big Tech’s defamation has led to him needing private security to protect from harassment, and has likely led to him never being able to be employed in the future due to his reputation.

“We’re going to make the media pay for what they did to me,” Rittenhouse told host Tucker Carlson. “They made it hard for me to live a normal life.”

“I can’t go out into public,” he continued. “I can’t go to the store. It’s hard for me to go anywhere without security. Doing basic things like taking my dog to the dog park is difficult, so they made it really difficult to be normal and they affected future job opportunities for me. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to work or get a job, because I’m afraid an employer may not hire me.”

Discussing their plans for future lawsuits, McMurtry revealed that he has his eye on Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg because of defamatory statements from the company and violations of Section 230, also known as the Communications Decency Act, which protects internet and social media platforms that remove offensive material and gives these companies immunity for third-party content.

According to McMurtry, Zuckerberg will be facing a lawsuit for referring to the shootings as a “mass murder” event.

“We’re going to sue, A, for the defamatory statements that Kyle engaged in mass murder and, B, for violations of Section 230 by taking down posts that told the truth about Kyle. So in essence, they suppressed the truth by taking down truthful posts,” McMurtry said. “The Communications Decency Act does not provide that protection.”

The high-profile attorney went on to assert that the media engaged in “actual malice” and “negligence” by falsely labeling Rittenhouse as a “white supremacist” and falsely claiming that he crossed state lines with a firearm.

“Calling somebody a murderer in certain circumstances can be actionable. Other things that media personalities, people on social media said, were clearly defamatory,” the attorney said.

Speaking directly to Tucker Carlson, McMurtry added: “I think your comment about [the media] calling Kyle a white supremacist is made up out of thin air. I don’t know how the media can claim they didn’t make a statement that was completely made up out of thin air without engaging in actual malice or most certainly negligence.”

“I think we have some strong grounds to proceed,” he continued. “We’re going to evaluate them and look for opportunities to hold the media and to hold [Big] Tech accountable, as Kyle’s promised.”

In February of this year, Rittenhouse launched the Media Accountability Project to fundraise and take legal action against media organizations and public figures who have defamed him.

Joe Biden’s Push for Handouts Will Hurt US Economy

Contrary to claims from the Biden administration, the inflation that Americans are seeing today boils down to heavy spending from the federal government.

As it turns out, the president’s $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan is a major factor in today’s inflation.

Biden was warned about this; however, he chose not to heed these warnings. In fact, Biden worked around Republicans in Congress, getting this spending package passed only with Democratic lawmakers’ votes.

Inflation today is higher than where it’s been in four decades. It’s also led to the Federal Reserve boosting the current interest rates Americans have to pay; this is a measure that multiple economists believe will eventually cause a recession.

Unfortunately, despite all the damage that careless federal spending has done, Biden still has yet to learn anything.

Another Spending Proposal From the White House
As it turns out, the president is on board with a policy that would provide “free” preschool classes. This is something that Biden campaigned on back in 2020 and is all too eager to implement, amid his disastrously low poll numbers.

However, if the president were to succeed in legalizing this initiative, it would cause a massive $350 billion tab for America within just one decade. That’s not to mention the impacts that “free” preschool would have on baseline-relevant, national debt.

This policy could cause a 2.4% surge in federal, baseline-relevant debt by the time 2053 rolls around.

At the same time that “free” preschool continues to be part of the president’s agenda, he’s also looking into waiving student loan debt.

The redistribution of student loans would only serve to burden American taxpayers during a time when inflation is already making their lives much more difficult.

Good Talking Points, Bad Policies
On the surface, not having to pay for preschool classes may seem appealing to some people. After all, childcare in America today is expensive.

However, the logistical consequences of reforms like “free” preschool are not so appealing. Just like the initiatives to “forgive” student loan debt, waived preschool fees would absolutely come with a price tag later down the line.

The reality that “free” handouts are always eventually paid for can be seen today. In 2020 and 2021, for example, Americans were granted stimulus checks and other structures of “free” money.

Today, people are paying this money back via skyrocketing inflation; this inflation could very well last for years, according to BlackRock CEO Larry Fink.

You Can See and Say ... Nothing

Jun 8, 2022

You think censorship is bad now. After a pause of mere days, Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) relaunched its “Disinformation Governance Board,” which former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) nicknamed the Orwellian “Ministry of Truth” after the dystopian novel 1984.

We cannot afford to wait till the Disinformation Board cranks up to full throttle to operational status. Once lost, it is rare to restore freedom.

DHS has fully transformed the snitch motto of “If you see something, say something” to “You can see nothing and say nothing”—except what the government approves. DHS will now censor what the Biden administration labels “disinformation” ahead of the midterm elections! And don’t forget their desire to control the narrative on COVID, masks, shots and more.

That is why we must act now to stop it!

There is a bill in Congress that will completely defund and shut down this board. It is critical to act now to end this censorship. Overwhelm Congress with your faxes to demand that members of Congress immediately support, co-sponsor and pass this bill. —

Joe Biden and his party are desperate to maintain control. Thus, the reason for this Disinformation Board. DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas admitted this new board will censor “disinformation and misinformation” ahead of the midterm election.

So, what is “truth”? Truth is whatever the Biden administration says it is. That’s how this Disinformation Board will operate—much like the often-discredited “fact checkers” paid by the Biden administration to censor you!

The new head of the board, Michael Chertoff, clerked under judicial activist Democrat Supreme Court Justice William J. Brennan Jr., and then was the U.S. attorney general in New Jersey. He was a principal author of the Patriot Act, which threw open the door for the government to spy on Americans and indefinitely detain them.

Chertoff then became head of the Department of Homeland Security and was soon blamed for mismanagement after Hurricane Katrina. He stepped down a few years later and has been in private law ever since.

This man has a history of pushing unconstitutional invasions of our rights. Sections of the Patriot Act have been ruled unconstitutional and were struck down by several judges.

Now, Chertoff will wield the power of the federal government over free speech and freedom of the press in America. What could go wrong?

No one should have this level of power, but especially not a person who has a track record of spying on Americans and locking people in jail indefinitely, before they are convicted—in direct opposition to our Constitution. Remember, under Obama-Biden and now Biden-Harris, “domestic terrorists” include law-abiding citizens.

I can’t help but remember the Chinese drones patrolling above the streets and broadcasting the message “Control your souls’ desire for freedom” as the government chained and padlocked starving people inside their apartments. We know where people who want to control your thoughts and movements wish to take our nation. This Disinformation Board is a serious threat to freedom of speech. We must stop it now before it’s too late!

Send your urgent faxes to Congress to demand an end to all funding for the Disinformation Board NOW.

Politicians in America are not the only ones involved in this massive push to censor speech.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) met recently. Julie Inman Grant was one of WEF’s handpicked presenters. After working as U.S. congressional staffer and then for Bill Gates, Grant is now Australia’s “eSafety Commissioner.”

At the WEF event, she stated: “Everything feels binary when it doesn’t need to be. So I think we’re going to have to think about a recalibration of a whole range of human rights that are playing out online, from freedom of speech. … ” She goes on to discuss “online violence,” “data protection” and “child dignity.”

I want to unpack the meaning and history of what she and other globalists mean by these words … because they don’t mean the same thing that you and I would normally understand them to mean.

In Grant’s world, “online threats” include speech with which she disagrees. Take COVID and the 2020 elections, for example. Biden and many media label discussing either topic as false, disinformation, misinformation and even dangerous to “democracy.”

After Barack Obama spoke at Stanford University on April 21, urging the government to censor online communication to save the “democracy,” the Biden administration rolled out the Disinformation Board just a few days later. Obama’s wish became Biden’s command.

To these censors, “child dignity” means everything from a child being allowed to get a secret abortion or a confused child being told “gender” can be a personal choice much like which outfit you wear or what career you choose. If you speak against puberty blockers, opposite sex hormones or life-altering surgery to remove healthy body parts, you will be censored—or worse, fined and fired.

Right now, we still have a choice. The Disinformation Board is a dangerous attack on America and the inalienable right of free speech. The board will censor information about elections, COVID, climate, smee and much more.

We MUST stop this Disinformation Board! Send your urgent faxes to Congress to demand an end to the Disinformation Board NOW.

LC Action will be working hard on Capitol Hill to stop this DHS board. In addition to sending faxes and signing the petition, please support our ministry through a donation to our Challenge Grant. This will DOUBLE the impact of your donation today.

Onward,

Mat Staver, Chairman
Liberty Counsel Action

Leftist Seth Meyers pummeled after 'apology' to Lauren Boebert for thinking 'AR' in AR-15 stands for 'assault rifle,' then admitting 'I'm sorry for not giving a f***'

June 08, 2022

Leftist Seth Meyers issued a mocking "apology" to Republican U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert on his late-night TV show Monday for often incorrectly believing the "AR" in AR-15 stands for "assault rifle" — then saying "I'm sorry I don't give a f***."

What are the details?
During Meyers' “A Closer Look” segment, he called the Republican Party a “collection of ghoulish con men and weirdos saying and doing whatever they think they can get away with to gain and hold on to power."

He added Boebert's name to his list, calling out the Colorado congresswoman's "incredibly dumb retort" on gun nomenclature in the face of calls for more gun control.

“If your Representative thinks AR stands for ‘Assault Rifle’, FIRE THEM!” Boebert tweeted Sunday.

With that, Meyers went in for the kill: "Yes, it's true, it stands for 'ArmaLite Rifle,' and as someone who has made that mistake myself in the past, I would just like to issue this sincere apology to Lauren Boebert, 'I'm sorry for not giving a f***.'"

The crowd loved it.

He added, "I love that the same people who say, ‘I don’t care what your pronouns are' also say, ‘Don’t get the name of my gun wrong! My gun has feelings, too!'”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApLRKAyspLY&t=178s

How did folks react to Meyers?
While the late-night TV host got plenty of left-wing support for ripping into Boebert, not everyone commenting on a story from TheWrap about his put down were pleased:

"I love how people that have no experience with or knowledge of guns or the laws surrounding them like to offer up their expertise on the subject," one commenter wrote. "The History of Governments disarming their citizens is not a good one and definitely not something we as Americans should want for ourselves or our country."

"So here's the problem...not caring is one thing, but when you spread misinformation, then it becomes a problem," another commenter said of Meyers. "If you don't understand something, ask; but when you're in a position to have what you say heard by millions, then you have to accept the good with the bad, but it goes a lot further for your credibility when you admit when you're wrong rather than deflecting and going on the offensive....and that goes way beyond the gun debate."

"It is amazing how these shows that were for entertainment have turned into political smear campaigns and party talking points," another commenter observed.

"Just shows how the anti-gun lobby (special interest groups and their followers) latch on to anything without discovering the truth," another commenter said.

"... Mr. Meyers[,] it is a fact that 'AR' does not stand for 'assault rifle,' and it is fiction that you can suddenly become a different gender. I know, I know...it's those pesky facts again that are hurting your feelings," another commenter wrote.

"So, here is an idea: Let's make Seth Meyers' show a gun-free zone and not pay for armed security and see how many shows he does," another commenter said.

"He should apologize as it demonstrates how little he knows about the subject. Yet he continues to try to inform people about firearms as if he has something important to say," another commenter noted. "He is complicit in spreading misinformation, which is apparently only an issue when right wingers do it."

"I will go along with all the gun control BS the progressives are pushing, but only if politicians cannot have armed security," another commenter declared. "They have to be out in the general population unarmed, just like the rest of us."

University Censors Christian Student
STAND WITH HER

“I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it,” goes a famous expression about free speech.

But today, our nation’s public universities have a different mantra: “I not only disapprove of what you say, but I will keep you from saying it.”

That’s exactly what officials at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) did to one of their recent master’s program graduates, Maggie DeJong. They censored Maggie because of her religious and political views, violating her free speech and due process rights.

Last week, we filed a lawsuit against SIUE officials on Maggie’s behalf to correct the violation of her constitutional rights. We also asked a federal court to declare unconstitutional portions of the university's policy wielded to punish Maggie.

We don’t charge clients like Maggie a dime to represent them in court. But that’s only possible because you and other faithful partners give to supply our every need.

Will you make the best gift you can right now to help fuel Maggie’s lawsuit and defend other Americans whose First Amendment rights have been violated?

GIVE NOW
What happened to Maggie shouldn’t happen to any student.

A new tactic to silence students

Maggie spent the last three years pursuing her master’s degree in Art Therapy Counseling at SIUE. Her goal? To one day counsel child trauma victims.

But while she was a student, the school informed Maggie that three students had taken out a “no contact order” against her. SIUE forbade Maggie from engaging with the three students and denied her constitutional right to defend herself against their allegations.

Maggie was prevented from speaking to them in their shared class, at their jobs in the same building, and in public spaces under threat of further punishment from the school.

Maggie was given no reason why. That’s when she first contacted ADF. We sent a demand letter to the school to have the orders rescinded and find out why they were even issued in the first place.

Here’s what we learned: The University issued the orders because certain students claimed they were offended by her speech on topics including religion, politics, critical race theory, and COVID-19 regulations.

Maggie was punished simply for expressing her beliefs—beliefs held by millions of Americans.

Maggie did not break any school policy or rule. She always engaged in respectful and loving conversations with her classmates. But university officials ignored her rights and disciplined her based solely on her protected speech.

If Maggie can be treated this way because of her religious and political views, who is safe to express their deeply held beliefs?

The sad truth is that using “no-contact orders” to silence the speech of others is a growing trend on college campuses. For example, ADF is defending three Christian law students from the University of Idaho who have had no-contact orders levied against them because of their religious beliefs.

We cannot allow this censorship to stand.

Your gift right now will help Maggie challenge the unconstitutional censorship of American students by public universities.

Punishing speech

Universities are supposed to be marketplaces of ideas—not an echo chamber for one ideology.

Maggie was accused of “harassment” simply for expressing her deeply held beliefs on a variety of topics—in class, in conversations with peers, and on social media.

“Rather than accept and embrace diverse ideological perspectives, SIUE officials are determined to force their graduate students to think and speak exactly the same—or stay silent—and they will punish anyone who steps out of line,” said ADF Senior Counsel Gregg Walters, one of Maggie’s attorneys.

She did nothing wrong. Yet, because of what SIUE did, Maggie suffered censorship, threats of further discipline, a baseless investigation, and the tarnishing of her reputation. What happened to Maggie is simply wrong. There’s no other explanation for it.

Will you stand with Maggie and others who are being censored by the government by making your best gift right now?

DONATE NOW
Act now to help protect students like Maggie—and protect free speech for everyone.

—Alliance Defending Freedom

P.S. Today’s students will be tomorrow’s leaders. It’s alarming that future therapists are being trained in a place that allows discrimination against others based on their religious and political views. Make your gift online right now to help defend free speech for Maggie—and for everyone!

D.C. lawmakers pass a bill that would ban firing employees for failed marijuana tests

In this April 12, 2018, photo, a marijuana plant awaits transplanting at the Hollingsworth Cannabis Company near Shelton, Wash. Thirty states have legalized some form of medical marijuana, according to a national advocacy group. Nine of those states and Washington, D.C., also have broad legalization where adults 21 and older can use pot for any reason.
Ted S. Warren/AP

The city council in Washington, D.C. unanimously passed a bill Tuesday that, if approved by Mayor Muriel Bowser, would stop employers from firing employees who fail marijuana drug tests.

The bill, named the Cannabis Employment Protections Amendment Act of 2022, would also ban employers from firing or refusing to hire an employee because of their recreational or medical marijuana use.

There are exceptions, though.

What happens when the narcissist is outsmarted by his main supply?

OMG….they lose their shite.

after all no one can outsmart the narcissist or so they think.

I get tired of people saying don’t mess with a narc because they are dangerous.

personally there human ( debatable) and humans make mistakes so they can be outsmarted, it’s just wether you can be bothered going through the mental head felafel of doing so.

im in the process of doing so in the courts, he sends letters through his lawyers that are nothing but well written threats.

He tries to intimidate me saying he will go for costs.

He keeps trying things all through lawyers of course and each time it cost him money ( money is what drives him), I simply don’t care he can send all he likes I’m indifferent to anything he demands or wants.

His latest is through a real estate agent now trying to get me to sign so he can sell a property….poor little parasite is fuming.

I will not go through anyone but my lawyer, he can demand threaten try to manipulate it just won’t work.

I don’t care how much I spend because he stole my identity and committed fraud on a massive level so I want justice, I would be a lying if I said a little bit of revenge wouldn’t be in there as well.

Above all I want justice and I want him stopped so he can never do this again, he thought I would have given up by now but it’s not going to happen.

Hes now getting desperate as he knows I’m digging in my heels and also knows I have evidence.

He's a highly intelligent man but underestimated me.

push Me far enough and I can sting just as hard but I’ll do it with truth and integrity and I know the universe has my back.

all I need to is still back ….give him enough rope and he will hang himself.

you CAN beat them

I am neither a medical nor mental health professional. My response is based on my studies of Narcissism / Cluster B disorders and my lived experience.

Narcissists are people just like you and myself. Plenty of people on Quora speak of narcissists as if they are the devil or demons. That they have incredibly high IQs and are precise in their manipulation strategies. They speak of them as though they are infallible.

In my experience, this is not the case. Generally speaking, the people I have suspected to be afflicted with Narcissistic Personality Disorder are incredibly lazy and low achieving with an extremely high sense of entitlement. They are often quite easily manipulated or at least leave themselves vulnerable to manipulation. It often does not seem this way when you are in the thick of it because their emotional attachment style (they have one, regardless of what you read here) tends to be avoidant-dismissive.

Narcissists are emotionally stunted. They have not matured past age 10 or 11 in the best case scenario. They cannot handle “adult” interpersonal relationships. It’s not so much that they don’t “love” their main supply, it’s that they “love” their main supply like a child loves their parent. Think back to when you were a child. If you did something inappropriate, your parents likely scolded you and expressed disappointment. You likely cried or sulked and “hated” your parent for not showering you in love and affection. You may have been able to manipulate your parents on occasion, but chances are they generally saw through your behavior and understood you (as a maturing child) still lacked the emotional skills to cope appropriately. Narcissists never developed those coping skills.

That said, there may come a time when a well-adjusted “supply” does begin to gain the upper hand or “outsmart” the narcissists. It’s generally at the stage where the supply is becoming “depleted” and is increasingly less emotionally invested in the relationship.

This is the narcissists worst fear and they know exactly how it plays out…with them (the narcissist) being discarded.

When the primary supply has “outsmarted” the narcissist in their life, they are generally inflicting narcissistic injury after narcissistic injury with intent. Cold and calculated. Hard-hitting blow after blow. The primary supply will have ripped the mask off the narcissist and exposed all the shame festering beneath the surface. They’ll take back their power and show the narcissist who was in control all along.

This causes the narcissist to retreat and likely serves as a catalyst for re-idealization given enough time. You suddenly want nothing to do with the narcissist and in their warped mind, that means you are of status. You must have and/or be something great if you want nothing to do with them. Enter the narcissists' hoover!

This is where “Grade A” primary supply needs to stay no-contact OR play the push-pull game better than the narcissist. Use them for whatever it is you wish, but don’t expect them to be emotionally available.

TL;DR: If you have “outsmarted” a narcissist, it’s likely due to you (the supply) becoming aware of their disorder and unmasking them (the narcissist). If you are Grade A “primary supply” (you are attractive, successful, wealthy, pleasant to be around, low maintenance, giving, and empathetic), they will almost certainly hoover you in the future. Even if they’ve gone “silent,” it’s likely they are monitoring your life through social media or via mutual friends, waiting for an opportunity to “accidentally” enmesh themselves in your world. Narcissists are ego-driven. Overly prideful despite having no reason to be. It’s unlikely they beg for your attention outwardly, but they’ll go to GREAT LENGTHS to get you to approach them. They are simple creatures that lack self esteem. They fear rejection above all else.

Uh oh…you don’t want to do that, lmao. Some are very low-functioning/physically abusive and will attempt to beat your ass into submission. Some will attempt to shout you down. Others will play the victim and continue to whip out that pity card. If you unknowingly poke the ever-present narcissistic wound/injury…lord have mercy, they will blow the felafel up.

Calling a male narcissist out for what he is…a clown, a coward, etc…may trigger what some call the “GOD” (Grandiosity, Omnipotence, Devaluation) defense. The narcissist may attempt to claim superiority over you at this time, lol…but it’s all smoke and mirrors folks! Keep calling the salt of the earth out!

Narcissists can be outsmarted. They are not these omnipotent masterminds some make them out to be. They trip up. The mask slips, here and there at first…then you are in for some major slips of the mask, slips that the narcissist cannot easily cover up, lol. Some have less self-control than others and do sometimes speak and act on impulse.

Anyway, the narcissist may just collapse if you “outsmart” him/her. Some will run when you confront them with their behaviors and actions (and do not let up), but catching a narcissist in a MAJOR LIE might really send him/her flying into an open rage and/or a full-on collapse. Narcissists will do all they can to avoid having to admit that they have lied, although they lie all the time! Catch them in a major lie, watch the horrorshow, and shut the door for good.

Trust your intuition. Remember your standards. Ask questions (and never stop asking questions). Investigate. Do not accept excuses. Confront. Challenge. You cannot sit quietly and accept whatever comes your way. Narcissists will string you along and play you for as long as you allow it!
