'It was me or him': Gun owner stands his ground when man allegedly tries to break into home, pulls firearm

A Detroit homeowner fatally shot an armed man who allegedly tried to break into his residence early Tuesday morning.

What are the details?
Maiso Jackson awoke around 4:30 am on Tuesday to a man pounding on his door. According to Jackson, who spoke with WJBK-TV, the man was "talking about how someone owed him money."

"I said no one here owes you money," Jackson recounted. "I don't know what you're talking about."

When the man refused to leave, Jackson called police — and that is when the situation escalated. Jackson said that after he dialed 911, the man broke a window in an apparent attempt to enter the property.

A doorbell camera captured the armed man standing outside Jackson's door.

Jackson then grabbed his firearm and confronted the man. Jackson has been a legal gun owner for the past eight years, taking lessons on how to properly use the firearm. Unfortunately, the would-be home-invader forced Jackson to exercise his Second Amendment rights.

"I came outside and said you have to leave, you can’t be doing this," Jackson told WJBK. "So then he reached for his gun and pulled it out. I had to defend myself, I had to shoot him because of that."

Jackson fired four shots at the man, hitting him in the chest and killing him.

"It was me or him at that point," Jackson told WJBK. "I didn’t want to hurt nobody, but he just wouldn’t quit.

"You can’t help but defend yourself — you have no choice but to," he explained.

Was Jackson arrested?
Police detained Jackson and questioned him for several hours after the incident. However, police confirmed they released Jackson without filing criminal charges against him.

Ultimately, a decision regarding criminal charges is the responsibility of the prosecutor's office.

Jackson's actions appear to be legal under Michigan's stand your ground law.

Mexican President Humiliates Biden In Front Of The Whole World

Mexico’s Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador revealed Monday that he will not be attending this week’s Summit of the Americas.

The summit will focus in part on the migration problem. According to Reuters, Lopez Obrador had previously threatened to boycott the meeting if the Biden administration didn’t include Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua.

Lopez Obrador revealed his plans to formally skip the event shortly after the administration confirmed that three countries would not be invited. According to the AP, Lopez Obrador stated that Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua’s absence were behind his decision.

“There can’t be a summit if all countries aren’t invited,” he said. “Or there can be one, but only with the politics of interventionism continuing.”

The Mexican president, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, has chosen to send his foreign minister instead, according to NBC News. Even so, the Mexican president’s cancellation is a setback for Biden’s efforts in hosting the summit.

The Mexican president wasn’t the only one to threaten a boycott. Argentina and Honduras also suggested they would back Lopez Obrador’s decision, according to The Associated Press. The affair prompted Biden and VP Kamala Harris to contact each other on the phone in an attempt to ensure high turnout.

The Biden administration ultimately decided against inviting the three countries because of concerns regarding human rights and a lack of democracy, according to Reuters.

America’s southern border has experienced a record surge of migrants in recent months.  According to NBC News, the number of unaccompanied minors detained at the U.S.-Mexico border hit a record high this year.

While the Biden administration is under pressure to find a solution that will please both American citizens and the governments of Central American countries, he has also been caught flying in many illegals into red-states.

It is unclear what will happen at this year’s summit in light of Lopez Obrador’s cancellation, but it is sure to be a tense meeting. With so much at stake, it remains to be seen if any progress can be made on the issue of migration.

Over the past year, Lopez Obrador has taken a hands-off approach to the migrant issue. He has refused to help the U.S. in its efforts to curb the flow of migrants and has instead focused on improving economic conditions in Central America.

Elko sheriff explains role in missing person investigation

ELKO – A missing Utah man called family members from his home two days after he was seen in Montello, Nevada, according to the Elko County Sheriff’s Office.

The office released a statement Thursday about the disappearance of Dylan Rounds, 19, whose farm is near Lucin, Utah.

“We would like to clarify our involvement in this case as there is misinformation that the Elko County Sheriff’s Office has jurisdiction over this case,” said the release. The ECSO is assisting the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office in Utah and has been directing anyone with information on Rounds’ whereabouts to contact them.

According to the Elko Sheriff’s Office, Rounds was seen in Montello on May 26, not May 27 as reported on social media. He ate at a local establishment there and then returned to Utah.

Cellphone data was used to track his phone around his farm near Lucin. He made a phone call to a family member on May 28 at approximately 6:51 a.m. Mountain Time.

“We can confirm that phone call was made from the farm based off the cell data,” stated ECSO. “Dylan disappeared sometime after he made that phone call.”

Based on that information, jurisdiction for the case is retained by Utah law enforcement.

“We were first notified of this case on May 31, 2022, when we responded to Montello on a call that someone was being held hostage in Montello. Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to Montello and searched a residence with the consent of the owner. At that time, we reached out to Box Elder County and offered our assistance,” the statement continued.

“We have been diligently working with the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office and providing them resources they have requested. We have also escorted their detectives into Nevada where they have conducted interviews with people that may be associated with Dylan’s case. The Elko County Sheriff’s Office has accommodated all requests by Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office for interviews of persons associated with this case.

“Detectives and deputies from our office have also been conducting a parallel investigation into information we can connect to any person or persons with information on the Nevada side. We have been sharing those interviews with detectives from Box Elder County.”

The Elko County Sheriff’s Office will not release any information that has the potential to compromise an active, ongoing investigation. Any additional details involving this case will be released by the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office.

Case Information
19 year old Dylan Rounds was last seen in Montello, Nevada on the evening of May 26, 2022. On the morning of May 28 he called his grandmother from his farm in Lucin, Utah, and hasn’t been seen or heard from since.


Background
Dylan Rounds is originally from eastern Idaho, but has spent some time over the past three years living and working in Utah.

At the time of his disappearance Dylan was working at his families 600 acre farm in Lucin, Utah, a small town near the Nevada border.

Before his disappearance, Dylan spoke to several family members on the phone about a weird encounter he had with a man on Wednesday May 25, 2022.

Dylan was driving in his truck when a barefoot man flagged him down, asking if he could borrow his phone. Dylan said the man was acting erratically, and asked if he could have a ride. Dylan did not give him a ride.

The man was reportedly seen in Montello, Nevada a few days later, asking about Dylan.

Disappearance
The last confirmed sighting of Dylan Rounds was at the Saddle Sore Bar in Montello, Nevada on the evening of May 26, 2022. The bar is located about 30 miles west of Lucin, Utah, where Dylan was living and working on his families farm.

On the morning of May 28, 2022, Dylan spoke to his grandmother on the phone, stating he would call her back later that day. Dylan never called her back, and hasn’t been seen or heard from since.


His family became worried when they hadn’t heard from him, and reported him missing to the Box County Sheriff’s Office on May 30, 2022.

Investigation
On May 30, 2022, the day he was reported missing, Dylan’s boots were found approximately 100 yards from where his grain truck was parked (about 5 miles west of the farm), appearing as if they had been casually tossed out.

Detectives told Dylan’s mother that it appeared the boots had a drop of blood on them, and that they would be sent off for testing. They were sent off to the lab on June 6.

Law enforcement confirmed the last activity on Dylan’s cell phone was the call he made to his grandmother on the morning of May 28, 2022, and that it was made near his farm. The last ping on his phone was at 3:41 pm that afternoon, and it was at or within 15 miles of the farm.

Multiple agencies have been assisting with the search for Dylan, including the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Search And Rescue, the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Horse Posse, Weber County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue, Elko County Sheriff’s Office, Utah Department of Public Safety Aero Bureau, and Utah Search Dogs.

According to the Official Find Dylan Rounds Facebook page, Dylan’s maroon Ford 4×4 4-door pickup was found parked at the farm, freshly pressured washed. The seat was pushed too far forward for him to have been able to drive, and the transfer case was found to have been placed in 4X4 mode, which Dylan knew was not working properly.


There has been no activity on his cell phone or credit card since he went missing. None of the vehicles on the farm were missing, and his personal belongings were all left behind. However, his cell phone and wallet have not been located.

Authorities have not publicly named any persons of interest or suspects in his case.

Dylan’s parents are actively involved in the search, and are offering a $20,000 reward to anyone who can locate him or knows where he may be.

Following is what I wrote the other day that was flagged as "uncivil." Can the person who flagged it tell me why it's uncivil? It's still in moderation after nearly 24 hours. I lived in Utah for a few years and hunted coyotes and explored the West Desert extensively.

There are a few odd people who live out there and there are a lot of weird visitors like the barefooted guy Dylan gave a ride. Barefooted guy is the one that needs to be investigated but the mom "feels" like it's not him. His story does not add up.

It is a place where a lot of people go missing. My opinion is that Susan Powell's cowardly husband hid her body in the West Desert. There are open mines, thousands of acres of sage brush, lots of coyotes, lava caves and the Air Force bombing range. It is an ideal place to get rid of a body if so desired.

There is nothing I said that is uncivil. I will remove the name of the eccentric guy who bought the Lucin airport and lives in a hangar.

Democrat Lawmakers Boycott Uvalde Moment Of Silence To Push For Gun Control
This is low, even for them.

Five House Democrats boycotted a bipartisan moment of silence that was held in honor of the 21 victims of the shooting in Uvalde, Texas in order to push a series of radical gun control proposals.

“We just boycotted the moment of silence on the House floor,” said Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) in a tweet that featured an image of herself standing with Reps. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA), Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ), and Jan Schakowsky (D-IL).

Speier continued, “No more moments of silence without REAL action.”

The moment of silence was organized for all House members to participate by Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX), whose represents Uvalde.

Using Another Tragedy to Push Gun Control
Speier and other House Democrats are using the tragedy in Uvalde in another attempt to put forth stricter policies on firearms that would adversely impact law-abiding citizens.

Speier had announced several weeks ago her intention to boycott the moment of silence shortly after it was announced, also tweeting immediately her gun control proposals hours after the massacre took place.

Democrats used this tragedy to usher support for the “Protect Our Kids Act,” which consists of eight separate bills that range in legislation that would impact the buying age of semi-automatic weapons, the creation of a registry of bump stocks, banning standard capacity magazines, and other policies they argue would decrease gun-related violence throughout the country.

Some Democrats who attended the moment of silence, such as Rep. Colin Allred (D-TX), still took the opportunity to point the spotlight on the upcoming legislation by posting a tweet saying, “Today the House observed a moment of silence to honor those who were taken from us by senseless gun violence. As we work this week to save lives, the people of Uvalde will be in our hearts.”

Does the “Protect Our Kids Act” Have a Chance of Becoming Law?
The bill managed to pass in the House in a mostly party-line vote of 223-204, but is unlikely to pass in the upper chamber.

However, while this Act might not see victory in the Senate, that doesn’t mean Democrats won’t get their way on some measure of gun control this year.

Senators Chris Murphy (D-CT) and John Cornyn (R-TX) have begun bipartisan negotiations regarding a potential bill that could sway Senate Republicans who support concepts such as red flag laws, such senators including Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Mitt Romney (R-UT) who have already spoken in favor them in the wake of the Uvalde shooting.

'We Hate You So Much!' Creepy HR Woman Rails Against Canadian Freedom Convoy Protestors in Viral TikTok Video

Those were the sinister, ‘cancel culture’ words of Tammy Sepetis, a human resources (HR) recruiter who released a creepy video on the controversial video platform Tik Tok. Canadian HR Reporter noted on Tuesday that the video had gained 2.3 million views so far, as of the time of publication.

In the video, Sepetis threatens and insults Canadian Freedom Fighters (Freedom Convoy Protestors), an anti-tyranny political activist group, saying no one will hire their kind because of their political activities.

Here’s part of what Sepetis said in the video under the handle name @tammyandtwins.

If you're looking for a job or maybe trying to keep a job, maybe, just maybe think about what you're putting on social media — again, freedom fighters, I know you're not really big with stats and, you know, facts aren't your thing — but what I can tell you, what is a fact, is that recruiters talk, and recruiters, like the majority of Canada, don't agree with you.

Sepetis then ominously claimed that recruiters and HR are watching “everywhere.”

“We hate you so much,” Sepetis continued. “And you think we can't do anything? But we can, we have the power — always. Remember that. It doesn't matter if there's a f--king man at the top of your HR department, it's run by women. And it's run by angry women just like me.”

She ended the video by cussing out the Freedom Fighters, according to Canadian HR Reporter.

The Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) released a statement on Twitter saying that they do not endorse the statements made in the video and will review the matter to determine whether there had been a breach in its Rules of Professional Conduct.

This video is concerning as it’s an example of the anger and “cancel culture” the left has embraced against fellow countrymen standing up for what they believe in.

Sepetis says what other liberals do not say outright, which is, ‘We will ruin your career if you do not agree with us. We’re watching you.’

Bottom line for job recruiters, selection should be based on skill, not political affiliation.

Biden Suggests Jailing Republicans For Not Following Democrats' 'Rules'

During an interview Wednesday with late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, President Joe Biden suggested sending Republicans to prison if they don’t “follow the rules” as dictated by Democrats.

Biden first explained that he doesn’t plan to take certain executive actions on gun control, including banning sporting rifles like the AR-15, because he doesn't want to "emulate Trump's abuse of the Constitution" (and not, of course, because he knows he can't take certain actions on guns without the cooperation of Congress, where he doesn't have the votes).

“I don’t want to emulate Trump’s abuse of the Constitution and constitutional authority,” he told Kimmel, apparently forgetting – or ignoring – the 276 executive orders signed by former President Barack Obama and repeated overreach on everything from international treaties to climate change, immigration, smee and health care.

“Well, guess what,” Biden rambled on. “If we do the same thing they do, our democracy will literally be in jeopardy. Not a joke.”

Kimmel responded, “I understand that argument, but it’s like you’re playing Monopoly with somebody who won’t pass go or won’t follow any of the rules."

"How do you ever make any progress if they’re not following the rules?” he then asked, never quite clarifying what "rules" the GOP is supposedly ignoring other than simply not voting the way Democrats want them to.

But even without having established exactly how Republicans aren't playing fair, and regardless of Democrat presidents’ history of issuing plenty of executive actions themselves, Biden nonetheless suggested putting Republicans in prison. For what, exactly? Well, he didn’t say – but it sounds like their primary crime is failing to kowtow to the left’s demands.

“You’ve got to send them to jail,” Biden told Kimmel before mumbling incoherently about a “box.”

“Straight to jail?” Kimmel laughed, attempting to play off Biden’s clearly serious suggestion into a joke.

Joe Biden is Not Being Honest About America’s Deficit

 
Endless federal spending is increasingly embraced by Democrats. Despite the horrific consequences this inflicts upon the national deficit and the economy at large, left-wing officials always have new packages they want to get passed.

The spending that came from the American Rescue plan played a significant role in current inflation. Yet, officials and allies of the Biden administration continue to blame Russian President Vladimir Putin, along with COVID, for problems the US economy faces.

During this month alone, Biden’s come under fire for statements he’s made about the economy that aren’t rooted in accuracy whatsoever. Now, his latest prediction about the US deficit has Americans shaking their heads.

A Failed Attempt to One-Up Trump
On Friday, Biden rattled off a series of talking points about the economy under his leadership. After dismissing GOP criticism over his spending levels, Biden claimed an “explosion” of the national deficit took place during the Trump administration.

From here, the current president said the nation is on course to observe a $1.7 trillion reduction in the deficit before 2023.

This is deeply misleading. For one thing, when Biden’s American Rescue Plan passed in 2021, it triggered an approximate $2.1 trillion deficit. Secondly, this spending bill also caused the deficit to rise, along with inflation.

Later on Friday, the president neglected to mention a key Congressional Budget Office estimation that speaks volumes about the deficit.

It’s projected to reach a staggering $1 trillion; this just so happens to be greater than the $984 million deficit during 2019, under Trump and before COVID hit.

Once again, the president and his administration continue to deceive the American public with half-truths and the intentional omission of critical details. The policies of Biden and the Democrat Party have been far from fiscally sound or reasonable.

The Ugly Truth About the National Deficit
As long as the Biden administration and congressional Democrats remain committed to heavy spending, the deficit will continue to suffer accordingly.

Republicans, meanwhile, have been calling out the inherently deceptive nature of Biden’s arguments about the national deficit.

Having a GOP-led Congress would be the first step toward truly bringing down the national deficit. Without backup in the House and Senate, Biden will be severely limited in what spending bills he can actually pass.

All things considered, it’s no wonder that polls show very strong public support for GOP candidates to win the midterms this fall.

GOP gubernatorial candidate arrested hours after Biden quipped about sending political opponents ‘to jail’

Following President Joe Biden seemingly calling for the imprisonment of political opponents who don’t follow his rules, the FBI raided the home of GOP gubernatorial candidate Ryan Kelley Thursday and then arrested him.

“Look, I often get asked, well the Republicans don’t play it square. Why do you play it square? Well, guess, what? Well, if we do the same thing they do, our democracy will literally be in jeopardy.” Biden told late-night host Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday.

“It’s like you’re playing Monopoly with somebody who won’t pass go or won’t follow any of the rules, and how do you ever make any progress if they’re not following the rules?” Kimmel disingenuously asked.

Fast-forward to Thursday when FBI agents slapped cuffs on Kelley for participating in the January 6 protest after tossing his home in Allendale near Grand Rapids, according to ABC News.

Video footage appears to show FBI agents leading a man who resembled Kelley out to a gray SUV shortly before 9:30 am, according to Bridge Michigan.

This comes after a number of Republican candidates were actively blocked from being on the ballot in Michigan for allegedly submitting fraudulent nominating petition signatures.

FBI spokeswoman Mara Schneider confirmed that the search and arrest took place on Thursday but would not comment further, according to Detroit News. Criminal charges are expected to be filed later on Thursday in federal court.

“At this time, I cannot provide any information on the nature of the charges against Mr. Kelley, although I expect additional information to be forthcoming,” Schneider said.

Kelley’s arrest may be front and center as Democrats televise a propaganda event Thursday night to vilify Republicans over the Jan. 6 event.

The Michigan Democratic Party prominently played footage in June 2021 of Kelley allegedly shouting on the Capitol steps, “Come on, let’s go! This is it! This is– this is war, baby!”

Kelley claims he did not enter the Capitol.

The media is reporting that in January, Kelley told a crowd to unplug voting machines from the wall if “you see something you don’t like happening with the machine.” In response, Democratic Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson haughtily informed him that tampering with ballot machines is illegal.

The GOP candidate is a real estate broker and the founder of the American Patriot Council according to filed campaign paperwork.

He held a pro-gun rally at the state capitol to protest Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s pandemic orders, according to Fox 2 News. His campaign bio also states that Kelley, exercising his Second Amendment rights, “guarded a Civil War Statue in his hometown of Allendale as it was threatened to be taken down by BLM and Antifa” during 2020 riots after George Floyd’s death.

Kelley is also one of five remaining GOP candidates left in the race for the Republican gubernatorial nomination.

Former Trump advisor Peter Navarro was arrested at an airport recently for contempt of Congress in connection with the January 6 committee as well.

Former Trump political strategist Steve Bannon has also been in the Democrats’ sights during their inquisition over the protest at the Capitol.

Kelley is just the latest high-profile conservative to be made an example of as Democrats seek to persecute and prosecute Trump supporters and constitutionalists.

Republican Candidate Arrested Over Jan 6th Connection

(RightIsRight.co) – Yesterday, in a move that could shake up one major election come November, a GOP candidate for governor in the state of Michigan had his home raided by the FBI, and he was arrested. Federal law enforcement authorities claim the candidate, Ryan Kelley, was at the United States Capitol during the January 6, 2021 protest over the election of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and that he committed crimes while at the Capitol.

According to CNBC in “FBI raids home of Michigan GOP gubernatorial candidate”:

“Federal agents raided Ryan Kelley’s home in Allendale, Michigan, on Thursday morning. NBC News received a tip about the raid, which was confirmed by a law enforcement official.

“An FBI spokesperson later confirmed that a search warrant was executed at the home where Kelley was arrested. He faces four charges related to his alleged actions at the Capitol, including disorderly conduct and willfully injuring or attacking U.S. property.” [emphasis added]

Ryan Kelley is the current Republican gubernatorial candidate in the state of Michigan. As for what federal law enforcement authorities claim they can prove about Kelley’s actions at the U.S. Capitol:

“A statement from an FBI special agent, released by Justice Department officials Thursday, includes and describes video footage and other images that indicate Kelley was involved in breaching the Capitol and directing others to participate.

“‘At approximately 2:20 p.m., Kelley continued to gesture to the crowd, consistently indicating that they should move towards the stairs that led to the entrance of the U.S. Capitol interior spaces,’ the agent states.” [emphasis added]

There has been no statement from Kelley or his campaign as this post goes to publication.

It’s been a terrible week for the more notorious, left-leaning news organizations. The Washington Post is burning up the internet, and CNN has openly hinted at cutting some of its far-left commentators. MSNBC just set a 23-year viewership low among adults aged 25–54, and there’s more bad news for CNN this week.
 
It appears that consumers are weary of what they’re selling.

With 1.3 million viewers each night, Fox News dominated the competition, averaging 1.3 million viewers each night from May 30th through June 5th. Do you know who was number two? CNN or MSNBC? No! It was HGTV.

Let’s look at the statistics:

“Fox News grabbed 1.3 million viewers from May 30th through June 5th to rank No. 1 on basic cable, besting HGTV’s 562,000 and MSNBC’s 556,000 average viewers,” according to the article. “MSNBC finished third with a total of 550,000 viewers and CNN came in fourth with 500,000 people.”

CNN and MSNBC “failed to top” Fox News when their numbers are combined. That is not just bad, it’s an epic fail. But things only deteriorate from there.

“Fox News ruled throughout the prime time hours of 8-11 p.m., getting over two million tv audience members when No. 2 ESPN had an average of 1.5 million viewers. MSNBC got around 800,000 to be in ninth place, and CNN couldn’t break into the top ten most-watched tv networks with a poor audience of 600,000 people.”

But things get even more amusing when you consider the networks that outperformed MSNBC.

“MSNBC’s Biden-era difficulties among the advertiser-coveted (25-to-52 year old) demographic have gotten worse, as the network’s worst week in overall day and primetime since 1999 was one. Animal Planet, Syfy, Travel Channel, Freeform, E1, FXX, BET were among the 32 networks to beat MSNBC.”

“The Five” finished as the top cable news show of the week, with 3.28 million viewers, followed by “Tucker Carlson Tonight” with 3.2 million.

According to the statistics, we’ve known for a long time that America’s major media has been failing us. They’re completely biased; they push for censorship of viewpoints they don’t agree with, and they frequently outright lie. While Fox’s leadership is nothing new, and ratings for CNN and MSNBC have been declining for some time, this gap is widening as Americans wise up to the power-mad left.

WOW! White House Press Secretary Admits To Biden Abuse Of Power To Advance Climate Agenda.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stuck her foot in her mouth when pressured to explain a recent questionable move by President Joe Biden.

The president authorized the Department of Energy to use the Defense Production Act (DPA) to “rapidly expand” American manufacturing of solar panel components, building insulation, heat pumps, “equipment for making and using clean electricity-generated fuels,” and power grid infrastructure.

The decision by Biden is intended to advance “clean energy” manufacturing as Democrats look to take advantage of record high energy prices to push their radical climate agenda.

Biden has gotten rather comfortable invoking the DPA, which has led critics to point out that this could be a massive abuse of power.

The Democrat president has used the DPA for the COVID-19 pandemic, materials used in the production of electric vehicle batteries, and the baby formula shortage.

At the daily press briefing, Fox Business reporter Edward Lawrence pressed Jean-Pierre to answer why exactly Biden was invoking the DPA for this particular issue.

“What emergency is the president using to invoke the Defense Production Act?” Lawrence asked. “What’s the real emergency in the solar industry for the Defense Production Act?“

Jean-Pierre responded with a vague deflection – essentially ignoring the question.

“Let me — I was going to say, first, the president — you know, when he takes the Defense Production Act, it’s to make sure that he’s delivering for the American people. It is an important tool that he has used a couple of times, and it has been incredibly effective,” she said before essentially recycling the White House’s announcement.

“But what’s the emergency in the solar industry?” Lawrence pressed.

Jean-Pierre then openly admitted that Biden is using the DPA to advance his climate agenda.

“Well, this is just a step to get to a place where we do have a clean energy arsenal. And so, this is a very important part of the president’s agenda in getting to that clean energy system that he’s been talking about since he walked into the administration,” Jean-Pierre admitted.

“So, this is that, and this is a way that we felt that we can act to get moving in that way,” she continued.

Jean-Pierre failed to clarify how exactly this DPA authorization is in response to an emergency.

Jean-Pierre was asked later how Biden’s DPA authorization is “not a gift to Chinese solar manufacturers, many of whom operate with forced labor and are subsidized by the Chinese Communist Party?“

Jean-Pierre responded that the DPA authorization does not “apply to any materials imported from China.”

Meanwhile, the president has done little to nothing to address the real issues causing high energy prices and Americans are well aware.

The president’s approval rating on gas prices sank to 27% in the most recent poll. 72% of Americans say they disapprove of Biden’s handling of gas prices, a four-point loss for the Biden administration since April.

One study found that between 1950 and May 2022, 96% of mass shootings happened in gun-free zones. In addition to mass shootings in gun-free zones, other studies show these shooters are frequently under the influence of prescription drugs. If Congress really wants to address mass shootings, lawmakers must remove most gun-free zones, reform mental health and prescription medications, and teach Judeo-Christian values again.

The House bill will do nothing to stop mass shootings. In fact, it will exacerbate them. We must stop this bill in the Senate and stop the Senate from presenting its own version.

“The January 6 committee will not explain that,” he proclaimed, adding “After a year, millions of dollars, thousands of interviews, they won’t tell us, nor will they tell us, how many FBI agents and assets were in the crowd that day and what were they doing there. Why can’t we know that? And why are they still hiding thousands of hours of surveillance footage from within the Capitol?”

“If the point of the committee was to get the truth out there, why can’t we see the tapes? Why did authorities open the doors of the Capitol to rioters and let them walk in, usher them in the doors? That’s utterly bizarre,” the host also noted.

Here is the information that the Dylan Rounds family can release at this point.
? Dylan is missing and was last seen the evening of May 27th in Montello Nevada, which is over the Nevada border from Lucin Utah.
? Dylan’s boots were found behind a dirt pile about five miles west of his farm on May 30th.  The Box Elder Sheriff took custody of the boots and turned them over to Box Elder Detectives.  The Box Elder Detective told Dylan’s mom that they found a drop of blood on one of the boots.  We learned that the boots were not shipped to the laboratory until June 6th.
? Dylan's maroon colored Ford 4x4 4-door pickup was found parked at the farm, freshly pressured washed on the outside and in the bed.  The tires were also pressure washed and did not have any mud on them.  Given the muddy roads from the thunderstorms the day prior, the pickup and pickup tires should have had a large amount of mud on them.  This indicates that the truck and truck tires were pressure washed at the farm where the truck was found.  Additionally the ground around the truck appears to have been smoothed out by the pressure washer leaving no tracks from the pickup or from humans. The only sign in the dirt is from a trail of water that drained out of the pickup bed. Dylan is 5’10” and when his mother Candice who is 4’11” got in the truck, the seat was too far forward for Dylan to have been able to drive and the transfer case was found to have been placed in 4X4 mode.  This indicates that Dylan was not the last person to drive the pickup truck. The pickup had recently had a rebuilt transmission installed and the transfer case was not working operating properly.  The 4x4 mode was not working and had been this way for quite some time.  Dylan knew it was not working and would not have put it in 4X4 mode. 
? Elko County Sheriff’s department has not offered assistance in the search and only showed up one time when Dylan’s mom called 911 after receiving a tip that Dylan was being held in a Montello Nevada home and the family was  going to take matters into their own hands.  Since then the Elko County Sheriffs only response has been to be a liaison for Box Elder County for questioning Nevada residents.
? The family of Dylan Rounds has pleaded with Elko County Sheriffs to search places of interest that locals in the town of Montello tipped them off to.  A detective in Nevada responded by saying they would send out the Bureau of Land Management.  We have not heard from the Elko County Sheriff since. 
? The family will be posting information about search efforts for this upcoming weekend to include a central meeting place and determine search areas.  They hope that the Elko County Sheriff’s office reaches out to help with the search effort.  If not, the family will once again organize a search effort without law enforcement help or assistance.

Elko County Sheriff’s department has not offered assistance in the search and only showed up one time when Dylan’s mom called 911 after receiving a tip that Dylan was being held in a Montello Nevada home and the family was  going to take matters into their own hands.  Since then the Elko County Sheriffs only response has been to be a liaison for Box Elder County for questioning Nevada residents.

And maybe Elko is choking on the sweet taste of corruption and lameness, as usual...

I'm sorry you guys have to deal with Elko. They are honestly the worst. I've had bad experience with both box elder and elko in your situation.

In the end tho box elder came through after we switched detectives. We pushed for boxelder to take lead and be allowed to follow the investigation over state lines. And don't be surprised if you go in looking for things like video footage or important info to either pop up far after its needed, or you end up finding it yourself. I really hope the bureaucratic tape the authorities keep hiding behind is demolished and soon.

With the COVID-19 agenda still being promoted by the Biden administration, numerous states around the country have either defended President Joe Biden or, like Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, opposed his protocols and mandates as being nothing more than government overreach. As the left and right continue to debate the issue, Pfizer was granted the ability to give yet another booster to people 50 years of age or older. In Utah, a Senate committee about requiring “vaccine passports” led to three people being arrested by police for verbally disagreeing with the idea. One man who was arrested was led away in handcuffs for nothing more than wearing a “We The People” shirt.

In the video, which can be watched below, Senate Revenue and Taxation Committee Chair Dan McCay was forced to call a recess as the crowd of citizens voiced their displeasure for more COVID-19 mandates. Trying to restore some inkling of order, McCay warned the crowd that no signs or stickers supporting House Bill 60 would be allowed. That decision appeared to make the whole situation worse. Take a look.

One of the people at the meeting, Daine Anderson, recalled the incident. “They said you have to take everything off that’s political. Your stickers, your sign, we don’t allow waving. We’re going, ‘Tyranny. Welcome to Australia’. There was a lot of people in there. He took off his sticker; he didn’t take his shirt off, and they had the Highway Patrol come and take him out, saying he was disrupting the meeting. It was in recess. He wasn’t disrupting.”

Watching the man being arrested, the crowd around McCay grew even more agitated, yelling, “You guys should be ashamed of yourself. You swore an oath to us, not the government.”

Having been slapped with a Class B misdemeanor, the man received support from Utah State Senate President Stuart Adams. “We’re kind of sorry that happened, and my hope would be that we would move on and that we wouldn’t want to see anything like that result in criminal charges. We obviously have great policies in place, and we hope to perfect those as we continue on. We’re looking at the incidents, and we’ll just continue to, again, try to learn from what we’re doing.”

At the end of the day, House Bill 60 passed 7 to 2. And again, the bill “enacts a prohibition on the use of an individual’s immunity status by places of public accommodation, governmental entities, and employers.”

Users online voiced their disdain for the arrest as well. “Government by the people, for the people, and of the people- as long as the people don’t argue with the party/cult agenda. This is how democracy dies.”

Another one noted, “People are fed up with being told they ‘have’ to do this or ‘have’ to do that.  Our freedoms are being taken from us and it MUST stop.  I’m with the citizens!!”

Is This Black Hole Coming for You? It's Just an Optical Illusion

Does this black hole seem as if it's expanding toward you? You're not alone. Some 86 percent of participants in a new study had the same experience.

"The 'expanding hole' is a highly dynamic illusion: The circular smear or shadow gradient of the central black hole evokes a marked impression of optic flow, as if the observer were heading forward into a hole or tunnel," said lead author Dr. Bruno Laeng, a psychology professor at the University of Oslo, Norway, in a press release. The study was published in the journal Frontiers in Human Neuroscience in May 2022.

The researchers found that this optical illusion deceives our brains so well, our pupils reflexively dilate to let in more light, just as they would if we entered a darkened room. This visual system adjustment is helpful in preparing us for potentially dangerous situations.

"Just as glare can dazzle, being plunged into darkness is likely risky when navigating into the darkened environment (e.g., by possible collisions into objects and/or instability on uneven grounds)," the authors wrote in their study. "Although, as in any illusion, this virtual expanding darkness is experienced at the cost of veridicality [visual reality], since the observer is neither moving forward nor entering any dark space, such a cost is likely to be less severe than if there were no corrections when an observer really moved forward into a dark space."

In the study, 50 participants with normal vision saw the expanding hole illusion in a variety of colors (black, red, green, etc.) and were asked to rate how strongly they saw it. Only 14 percent didn't see the illusion in black while 20 percent didn't see it in the other colors. Those who saw the black hole illusion the strongest were those whose pupil diameter dilated the most. Meanwhile, the colored holes caused pupils to constrict. Researchers aren't sure why certain participants didn't see the illusion at all.

"Our results show that pupils' dilation or contraction reflex is not a closed-loop mechanism, like a photocell opening a door, impervious to any other information than the actual amount of light stimulating the photoreceptor. Rather, the eye adjusts to perceived and even imagined light, not simply to physical energy. Future studies could reveal other types of physiological or bodily changes that can 'throw light' onto how illusions work," said Laeng.

Scientists use optical illusions in research to figure out how our eyes make sense of the visual world and this study was the first to explore how the color of the hole and the dots that surrounded it affected the participants' physiological responses.
