Everything You Should Know About Trash Island

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is indeed the biggest global collection region of marine plastic waste. It is midway between Hawaii and California, and things are rapidly deteriorating. Since the 1970s, researchers have been sorting plastic in the field.

The large bulk of the polymer mass discovered in the GPGP is in the form of large pieces. Even so, because they’re not handled or due to UV lights, they can degrade into toxic microplastics in the next few decades. Luckily, in Europe, a scientist created a basic but brilliant concept.

Boyan Slat, a scientist who determined when he was just sixteen that he wanted to create a technology that can solve the issue of plastic waste in the marine environment, created the Ocean Cleanup. Boyan and his colleagues pictured a network comprising broad floating displays that’d compact the plastic, allowing us to remove, store, and transport it to shore. Ocean Cleanup’s hope has come true, and it deployed the first hovering barriers in 2018.

And Yet, What Exactly Is The Great Pacific Garbage Patch?

GPGP covers an area of 1.5 million square kilometers within the Northern Pacific Ocean. Plastic accounts for 98% of the underwater waste contained in GPGP. GPGP comprises over 1.9 trillion bits of plastic, or 249 pieces, for every person on this planet. The gross weight is 8,000 tons, which would be equal to 500 huge jets. GPGP is three times the scale of France and doubles the scale of Texas. In 2015, 30 vessels from the Ocean Cleanup project passed the patch and gathered 1.1 million waste samples.

The Massive Expedition even recovered a substantial number of fishing nets, which are one of the most serious threats to aquatic life. GPGP’s initial aerial surveillance mission occurred in October of 2016. Fishing nets and abandoned fishing gear make up half of the floating debris in the GPGP. The average amount of plastic in GPGP is 4 to 16 times greater than past estimates have revealed. Amid thousands of unusual items floating throughout GPGP, Ocean Cleanup workers discovered a 1977 disposable crate.

GPGP waterways have 178 times higher plastic than sea animals by mass. The concentration degrees in the middle of the GPGP are the largest, exceeding dozens of kg/km2 and dropping to 10 kg/km2 in the outer area. The overwhelming bulk of plastics in GPGP are hard or rigid polyethylene, polypropylene, or a combination of the two (PP) and fishing tools. The majority of buoyant microplastic particles in GPGP are on or above the water’s surface, within 0 and 5 meters deep. Utilizing 50 HDPE floating structures, Ocean Cleanup aims to clear half of GPGP in 5 years.

But Is This All Fine?

Ocean cleanups may not just be a viable option due to the dynamic powers at play and the miniature scale of microplastics. As per NOAA, cleaning up only about 1% of the Northern Pacific Ocean will take 68 ships a whole year. Furthermore, today’s technology can endanger marine life, snatching them up together with the garbage they’re attempting to collect. The other thing would be that ocean cleanups do not address the root cause of the crisis. What occurs with plastic waste after they collect it? It surely doesn’t vanish.

Recycling Would Not Fix The Issue. Just 9% Of All Plastic Pollution Collected Has Indeed Been Recycled.

As a result, Oceana’s programs urge businesses to sell plastic-free options and policymakers to pass laws restricting single-use plastics. Proactive rather than reactive strategies would be needed to clear up our waters and get it over with. It is time to debunk the misconceptions and to save the oceans against plastic pollution.

Conclusion

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch, Plastic Island, Trash Island, whatever you decide to name it. This huge accumulation of debris is found between California and Hawaii and is becoming bigger every day, which is unsafe for the planet. It is important to stop using single-use plastics and be more conscious about your effect on the environment to make a difference.

Visit These 13 Creepy Ghost Towns In Nevada At Your Own Risk

Nevada is home to over 600 ghost towns and mining camps. Many of these towns have well-preserved buildings, and some of the towns only have concrete slabs as a reminder of Nevada’s early mining days. Most of the ghost towns in Nevada are completely abandoned and some are classified as “living ghost towns” because they still have inhabitants. Ghost towns, especially those that are completely abandoned, can be a bit creepy. Let’s take a look at 13 ghost towns in Nevada.

These items had been up for 8-9 days on a store type listing before being pulled, despite what ebay said, that they were up for 2 days before being discovered???.......
How could that be if store listings run for 30 days??? These ebay excuses make no sense at all?????   They keep contradicting themselves over and over again in their statements to the press and in ebay announcements about what really happened....

What is the biggest strength of the Russian Army in the current conflict against Ukraine?

Sandy Patterson
Worked at the Shanghai Theatre, Havana, Cuba
Answered Apr 17

Their biggest strength is actually the lack of flocks Putin has left to give.

Vlad has his back against the wall. 3 weeks left til the Victory Day parade, and he MUST deliver some kind of victory if he wants to remain in power. So he’s taken the leash off the army; now they have carte blanche to do what they need to in order to deliver that victory. That’s up to and including murdering civilians, raping women and children, deporting people to camps in Russia, and absolutely indiscriminate artillery and bombings.

Putin is currently shitting his pants. He’s purging his intelligence services, firing his staff, and using photoshopped TV appearances to maintain the facade. He’s willing to feed as many Russian boys as necessary into the meat grinder to maintain his grip on power. Right now Putin will accept almost any behavior from a successful general, and probably reward him no matter what he did, if he wins.

With that level of indifference, and lack of consequences for commanders, they’re now able to pursue their objectives through the most efficient route without worrying about pesky things like “morality”, “war crimes” or “human decency”. Torture, abduction, murder, blackmail, are all viable tactics. It is a short term tactical advantage that will haunt them for decades, but the shambolic Russian army can’t afford to disregard any advantage at the moment.

Es ist ein totaler Krieg.

White House told a lie about vaccines that was so outrageous that even CNN and WaPo called them out: 'Delete this'
May 13, 2022

The White House was slammed for a statement about vaccines that spread disinformation. The statement was so blatantly false that even fact-checkers from CNN and the Washington Post called on the Biden administration to delete the misinformation.

The official White House Twitter account claimed that there was no COVID-19 vaccine available when President Joe Biden took office in January 2021.

"When President Biden took office, millions were unemployed and there was no vaccine available," the White House stated on Twitter. "In the last 15 months, the economy has created 8.3M jobs and the unemployment rate stands at 3.6% — the fastest decline in unemployment to start a President's term ever recorded."

However, President Joe Biden received his first COVID-19 vaccine dose on Dec. 21, 2020.

"Today, I received the COVID-19 vaccine," Biden tweeted. "To the scientists and researchers who worked tirelessly to make this possible — thank you. We owe you an awful lot. And to the American people — know there is nothing to worry about. When the vaccine is available, I urge you to take it."

Biden received his second dose of the COVID-19 vaccination on Jan. 13, 2022. The official White House Twitter account shared a video of Biden being vaccinated against COVID-19.

According to the Our World in Data website, there were nearly 19 million Americans who had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by President Biden's Inauguration Day on Jan. 20, 2021. There were 3.5 million Americans who were fully vaccinated by the time Biden became president.

The White House's tweet was fact-checked by CNN and the Washington Post – both of which are generally friendly outlets to the Biden administration.

The Washington Post's resident fact-checker Glenn Kessler stated, "Who’s manning the @WhiteHouse Twitter account? Delete this false tweet. Biden himself has said 8% of seniors had gotten the vaccine on the day he took office. Biden was one of them."

CNN fact-checker Daniel Dale wrote, "'There was no vaccine available' is very clearly false. More than 3 million Americans were fully vaccinated and more than 18 million had at least one dose by Biden’s Inauguration Day. Biden himself was fully vaccinated. Obviously became more widely available with time, but no doubt, and they’re free to tweet 'the vaccine wasn’t available to much of the public' or whatever. 'There was no vaccine available,' the end, goes way too far given that there were nearly 19 million people with shots, wrongly suggesting the whole rollout began under Biden."

Twitter reactions to the false statement came in fast and furious. Many commentators called for Biden's recently-created Disinformation Governance Board and the Department of Homeland Security-appointed misinformation czar Nina Jankowicz to correct the misleading statement from the White House.

CNN contributor Scott Jennings: "Joe Biden himself was vaccinated during the Trump administration, and we were doing one million shots a day when Biden was sworn in. These guys aren’t even trying anymore."

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas): "Will the new Ministry of Truth be fact checking this absurd propaganda from the White House? No vaccines? None? Seriously? Delete this tweet and stop disgracing the office."

Libertarian politician Spike Cohen: "Hey @DHSgov, how do I report a tweet to your new Disinformation Governance Board? The vaccine was available before Biden took office."

Fox News anchor John Roberts: "And.... @twitter appears content to let this go unchallenged."

Cultural commentator Michael Malice: "Their lies are becoming more explicit and more brazen They are using Twitter etc to literally script an imaginary universe."

Singer Phil Labonte: "The vaccine was available when Biden took office. There was not job 'creation.' The jobs existed before the shutdown. If Trump said this the whole of the establishment media would be fact jacking and there would be wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth over 'TRUMPS LIES.'"

Radio host Buck Sexton: "Biden regime propaganda isn’t just untrue, it’s pathetic."

Sports commentator Clay Travis: "The first sentence is a lie. Joe Biden, and millions of others, received covid shots before January 20th. The second paragraph is classic disinformation. These are not 'new' jobs, they are the jobs we shut down in March 2020. We still aren’t back to the March 2020 job numbers."

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.): "The Communist Ministry of Truth is in full force."

Fox News contributor Dr. Janette Nesheiwat: "This is inaccurate false information. I received my vax Dec 2020 when Trump was President thanks to Operation Warp Speed which was available to me & millions of others."

Former assistant secretary for public affairs at the Department of Health and Human Services Michael Caputo: "As a senior HHS leader on Operation Warp Speed I confirm this statement is false and misleading pandemic disinformation, a very clear violation of @TwitterSafety rules. The FDA authorized the first COVID19 vaccine for public use 12-11-2020."

‘The View’ Host Stumps Elizabeth Warren With One Simple Question

Lindsey Granger, a conservative guest host on “The View,” stumped Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) with one simple question about her proposed plan for mass student loan forgiveness.

The surefire way to stump a Democrat: ask them a simple question that they need to answer honestly. Democrat politicians are used to appearing on left-wing shows and news channels, and being asked softball questions by the hosts of these shows. Unfortunately for Warren, “The View” actually has one conservative on their show.

On a recent episode of the talk show, Granger pushed Warren about her proposed plan to forgive student loans for millions of Americans who willingly signed up to borrow the money, spent it, and are now claiming that they should not have to pay it back.

In response to this plan, Granger asked Warren a simple question: “What do you say to someone like me who worked two jobs for a decade to pay all their student loans — just finished. Where do I sign up for reimbursement?”

Of course, Warren had no answer for that question. Instead, she dodged the question by launching into the typical leftist talking points about all the poor “folks” who took out loans only to have “life happen.”

“So let’s start out with who has student loans today. About 40% of folks with student loans don’t have a college diploma,” the senator began. “They’re folks who tried and life happened … and now they earn what a high school grad earns, and they’re trying to pay off college-level debt, and it is crushing their bones.”

“Keep in mind that of those that have student loan debt more than half have negative wealth— they don’t have any wealth. You know that right now there are tens of thousands of people who are living on Social Security, who are having their Social Security checks garnished to pay student loans,” Warren continued. “And so this for me is a question of fairness.”

After Warren finished talking, the panel immediately changed the subject to the fallout over the potential overturning of Roe v. Wade before Granger could ask any follow-up questions.

At no point in her rambling response did Warren even attempt to actually answer Granger’s question, likely because she, like the rest of the left, does not have an answer. There are many Americans who worked hard and were able to pay off their college loans, and many more Americans who didn’t go to college because they knew that they couldn’t afford to pay off those loans, but the left doesn’t care about them. In fact, those are the people whose tax money will be used to “forgive” student loan debt for the people who irresponsibly took out loans that they could not afford.

Biden’s Promise to Forgive Student Loans Faces Huge Hurdles

Joe Biden announced a nonspecific intention to compel taxpayers to pay off a broad range of outstanding student loan debt last month. The blatant attempt to pump up his tanking approval ratings among younger voters has some significant issues standing in the way.

May Davis wrote an opinion article for The Federalist this week that outlines some of the legal problems the Biden promise faces. Those hurdles are in addition to the inflationary effects and the incentives forgiving student loan debt would give colleges to bump up tuition costs even higher.

The largest problem Biden faces is the lack of executive power under the Constitution to unilaterally order debt relief without some expressed delegation of the authority to do so from Congress. There is no such authority that Congress has passed on to the president.

Most proponents of a presidential order to forgive student debt look to the Higher Education Act of 1965. That law created a loan program involving the federal government and private lenders. The lenders agreed to provide student loans at lower rates in exchange for a federal guarantee of the loans. The federal government does not directly own the loans outside of some specific default conditions. It is generally impossible under contract law to forgive a claim for a contract one does not own.

In 1992, Congress granted some repayment grace periods for persons experiencing “financial hardship.” In 2003, Congress acted again to grant deferments and in some cases cancellation to students affected by 9/11, either by joining the military service or being directly harmed by a national emergency. Even when the government made the loan program a system of direct government loans rather than guarantees in 2010, the executive branch was not granted the power to “bail out” borrowers.

Courts interpret statutes by giving priority to specific provisions over general statements. When Congress makes the effort to lay out specific instructions on when the executive branch can defer or forgive loans, the power granted is limited to the specifics and is not a general grant of power to act in ways not set out in the statutory language.

In 2010, the Congressional Budget Office reported to Congress that the revised student loan system would provide additional revenue to the federal government of $68 billion over 10 years. That projection alone smashes the idea that Biden somehow has the authority to obligate taxpayers to a $2 trillion bailout for borrowers including doctors, lawyers, and PhDs.

The question that also becomes a serious problem has to do with what happens to the student loan system after there is a widespread forgiveness of existing debt. The true problem facing the education system is that the existing loan program creates perverse incentives. Colleges are encouraged to jack tuition up as high as possible, knowing that taxpayers will be paying the bill. Students are incentivized to enter programs that are not likely to result in graduation or career success, knowing that there will not be a bill for the poor decision later.

Rand Paul Calls Out ‘Disinformation Governance Board’

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) grilled Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Wednesday, calling him out over the creation of the agency’s new “Disinformation Governance Board,” which many conservatives have compared to the “Ministry of Truth” in George Orwell’s “1984.”

During a tense exchange in a Senate hearing, Paul questioned Mayorkas as to whether the infamous anti-Trump Steele Dossier included “Russian disinformation.”

Mayorkas refused to answer the question directly, which triggered a heated back-and-forth argument about the scope of the highly controversial new government office.

“Here’s my question: The FBI concludes that the Steele dossier was full of Russian disinformation. CNN propagated this disinformation gladly for years and years,” Paul said. “The difference, I guess, between your opinion and our opinion is that as despicable as it is that CNN propagated this disinformation, I wouldn’t shut them down, I wouldn’t lecture them, I wouldn’t put it on a government website that CNN is wrong for propagating disinformation.”

“The problem you have is you’re not even willing to admit — I mean, we can’t even have an agreement on what the FBI said was disinformation,” the senator added, noting that failing to agree on what is and what is not “disinformation” is a major issue.

In response, Mayorkas claimed that the board would not be responsible for policing disinformation in general, but only “when there is a connectivity between disinformation and threats to security of the homeland.”

“Well, the Russians might be considered that. You mentioned the Russians the other day when you tried to pivot away from this being about censorship,” Paul replied. “Let’s just say… you’ve discovered tomorrow Russian disinformation that is going to hurt our national security, and CNN is broadcasting it, what are you going to do?”

Mayorkas responded by giving an example of combatting immigration-related disinformation on social media, completely ignoring the left’s past favorite subject of Russian disinformation. In fact, the Department of Homeland Security had previously stated that a key goal of the board is combatting Russian disinformation. Of course, Mayorkas had to side-step the question in this instance, as the type of “Russian disinformation” being discussed did not fit the left’s narrative.

“Here’s the problem: We can’t even agree what disinformation is. You can’t even agree that it was disinformation that the Russians fed information to the Steele dossier,” Paul replied, continuing to push the issue. “If you can’t agree to that, how are we ever going to come to an agreement on what is disinformation so you can police it on social media?”

Mayorkas responded, once again trying to avoid answering the question, by stating that the board is tasked with ensuring that there are “guardrails, definitions, standards” that protect civil rights, privacy, and free speech.

“I think you’ve got no idea what disinformation is,” Paul fired back.

“Do you know who the greatest propagator of disinformation in the history of the world is? The U.S. government,” he added.

“Think of all the debates and disputes we’ve had over the last 50 years in our country. We work them out by debating them. We don’t work them out by having the government being the arbiter. I don’t want guardrails. I want you to have nothing to do with speech,” Paul continued.

“You think the American people are so stupid they need you to tell them what the truth is?” he asked.

“You can’t even admit what the truth is with the Steele dossier. I don’t trust government to figure out what the truth is,” Paul said.

During the hearing, Mayorkas also admitted that he was unaware that Nina Jankowicz, who has been appointed as the executive director of the Disinformation Governance Board, referred to the Hunter Biden laptop story as ‘Russian disinformation.’

Netflix Fires Major Warning Shot At Its Woke Employees With New ‘Culture Memo’
May 12, 2022

A new corporate culture memo from Netflix is taking a hardline stance on attempts to silence artistic expression by warning those who are offended by the streaming service’s content that they may want to go find a job somewhere else.

Variety reports that the change in Netflix’s company culture appears to be in large part due to the backlash the streaming service faced from woke employees last year over its Dave Chappelle special, which the employees claimed was transphobic.

The updated Netflix Culture memo includes a new section called “Artistic Expression” that states that it will not “censor specific artists or voices” even if employees consider the content “harmful.”

“If you’d find it hard to support our content breadth, Netflix may not be the best place for you,” the memo states, later adding that employees may be required to work on projects that they “perceive to be harmful” and that if they have a hard time accepting their work assignment, they might want to consider working somewhere else.

“Entertaining the world is an amazing opportunity and also a challenge because viewers have very different tastes and points of view. So we offer a wide variety of TV shows and movies, some of which can be provocative,” the new section reads, later adding, “we support the artistic expression of the creators we choose to work with” and that “we let viewers decide what’s appropriate for them, versus having Netflix censor specific artists or voices.”

Netflix reportedly fired the leader of a trans organization within the company last October who allegedly organized a walkout to protest the company backing Chappelle over his special “The Closer.”

Good Riddance,
Jen Psaki

May 13, 2022

Press Secretary Jen Psaki leaves the Biden White House today after more than a year overseeing a dishonest operation that helped a partisan and malleable press keep the American public in the dark.

Dishonesty was a calling card at Psaki's briefings. As President Joe Biden hid from the press in an unprecedented fashion, Psaki asserted, "It's just not accurate to suggest that he isn't accessible or doesn't answer questions." And while pledging to fight "disinformation," she used her bully pulpit to spoon-feed it to the national media.

She was dishonest as the Biden administration grappled with the pandemic. She pushed for masks in schools amid a growing consensus that it harmed children. She obfuscated the administration's school reopening strategy, flip-flopping on how much in-person learning would constitute a "reopening." In March, Psaki claimed "we don't know" whether COVID is less dangerous to children, even though there has been plenty of evidence it is.

In recent days, Psaki suggested no one could have predicted inflation would soar to record highs, even as liberal economists warned Biden's policies would create that exact problem. And she claimed the Biden administration had the situation at the southern border under control amid horrific reports of children trapped in facilities at 1600 percent capacity.

But the worst of her deceits came during the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal. Psaki served as the stonewaller-in-chief and shared blatantly dishonest assessments. She waved away criticisms from her own party, claiming the administration had the situation under control as American evacuees were trapped in enemy territory due to a lack of intel.

When journalists asked how many Americans the Biden administration left behind Taliban lines, Psaki leaned on her trademark condescension, dismissing as preposterous the idea that the administration could keep tabs on every American overseas.

Psaki treated Fox News's Peter Doocy, one of the few White House reporters to challenge her, with hostility and contempt. She wrote off his legitimate questions, likened him to Russian and Chinese propagandists, and said he sounded like "a stupid son of a Irma Grese."

Psaki once argued anyone banned from one social media platform for spreading "misinformation" should be banned from all other platforms. Some would see this as a call for Big Tech censorship. But not the media, who fawned over and adored Psaki. Poynter, the media research group that runs PolitiFact, called her "one of the best press secretaries ever." Our rating: pants on fire.

In her penultimate briefing, Psaki slammed as a "conspiracy theory" the Washington Free Beacon‘s report that the Biden administration was funding a $30 million harm-reduction program that will fund the distribution of free crack pipes in "safe-smoking kits." With one quip, Psaki insulted a journalist and dismissed deeply sourced reporting that exposed inconvenient facts.

In that respect, her outburst serves as a perfect capstone to her tenure—one that was condescending and dishonest, hostile to the truth and those seeking it.

A road surface not to be sniffed at: the highway made of used nappies
May 3, 2022

In what is believed to be a world first, a Welsh firm has found a way of turning used nappies in to a road surface. Will the idea gain traction?

If you’re one of those drivers who reckons Britain’s roads are, well, a bit crap – buckle up.

An unlikely solution to parenting’s dirtiest secret – namely the 3bn disposable nappies binned each year in the UK – has been trialled on a road in Wales.

South Wales-based recycling firm NappiCycle has been running kerbside nappy collections for Welsh councils for years. And now it has used nappies for road resurfacing in a pilot scheme backed by the Welsh government.

NappiCycle founder Rob Poyer hit on a method to clean used nappies and separate their plastics and cellulose fibres for reuse. Since 2014, the cellulose has been used in school and office noticeboards, panelling, insulation and under laminate flooring, while the plastics are sent to secondary recyclers.

The firm processes around 800,000 nappies a week and its operation literally takes the pee: even the urine extracted from nappies is reused.

For the road project – a joint venture between NappiCycle and eco-friendly baby care outfit Pura – 4.3 tonnes of recovered nappy fibres were added to the bitumen to help the surface bond. According to Poyer, the fibres are cheaper than those normally added to road surfaces.

What happens to used nappies
Pellets of nappy-derived cellulose fibre are added to the road surface.

Processing the used nappies, however, costs about 15 per cent more than incinerating them, or slinging them in landfill. But this is a small price to pay for “creating a resource rather than a liability”, said Poyer. The “nappy-enhanced” asphalt, he added, offers improved durability, with a reduced carbon footprint to boot.

Around 107,000 nappies were used in the trial along the A487 near Cardigan. That’s a tiny proportion of the 400,000 tonnes currently sent to landfill each year, where they take up to 500 years to degrade. But could it be baby steps in the right direction?

“With this trial, we hope to demonstrate that waste nappies could be widely adopted in our roads, right around the UK,” said Poyer.

"Every individual matters. Every individual has a role to play."
-Jane Goodall

For more than 60 years, Jane Goodall studied the social and family life of chimpanzees, and today she is considered the world’s leading expert on these particular primates. But her path wasn’t easy: Her initial studies faced criticism from her primarily male colleagues, many of whom saw her as lacking objectivity.

Yet it was her close relationship with the chimpanzees that allowed her to see the animals in a whole new light — and to see them as far more similar to humans than the scientific community typically believed. Goodall’s career has inspired countless others to fight for environmental conservation and animal rights. As this quote reminds us, on this planet — our only home — everyone except smee has the ability to make a difference.

Lost Luggage? All You Need Are
 These 3 Things

Lost luggage is a drag. If you travel enough, you will inevitably have the misfortune of being one of the stragglers standing at an empty baggage claim belt, clinging to the desperate hope that your bag is going to come floating around the corner at any minute. You’ll then experience the sinking feeling when all the other passengers disperse and you’re left standing empty handed with the realization that your bag didn’t make the flight.

The drama continues as you file a lost luggage report and attempt to squeeze a gift card from the airline to buy some necessities in order to get you through the next few days. While some major airlines may offer up a few bucks for replacement toiletries and fresh undergarments, many won’t. If you flew with a budget airline, forget it. Most of the time you wind up leaving the airport feeling defeated and uncomfortably light.

This paints a depressing picture, but not all lost luggage stories have to end this way. Seasoned travelers know that lost luggage comes with the traveling territory and always stash a few key items in their carry-on to protect against missing-baggage blues.

Stack your carry-on bag with these three essentials and not having your luggage for a few days will be the last thing on your mind

1) Change of Clothes
It’s no easy feat to stay fresh during your travels and it’s likely you’ll be wrinkled, rumpled, and in need of a shower when you arrive at your destination. Your pants are probably stained thanks to an unfortunate cola spill or a stray spattering of spaghetti sauce. And don’t be ashamed if you’ve got peanut grease smeared on your sleeve. Oh, the joys of travel. The point is, you’ll be itching to get out of those day-old clothes, take a steamy-hot shower, and jump into some fresh new duds.

This daydream can be shattered pretty quickly when a lost luggage situation arises. That’s why keeping a change of clothes in your carry-on is our #1 tip. Roll a pair of socks and a few pairs of underwear into a basic tee, wrap a pair of versatile leggings or light pair of pants around those, and tuck in a flannel or long-sleeved shirt and you’re good to go. Having your own back-up outfit and dealing with a little extra bulge in your carry-on beats getting off a red-eye and having to shop for new clothes any day.

2) Mini Toiletries Kit
After free in-flight cocktails, salty snacks and a series of heavy meals, your mouth will be begging for a good scrub. Unfortunately, your toothbrush is somewhere in Detroit and you’re in Casablanca. The chances of a timely reunion? Slim.

That’s when packing an emergency toiletries kit is a total life and trip-saver. Snag a travel toothbrush, mini-toothpaste, and invest in a set of these silicone no-leak travel bottles for soap, shampoo, conditioner, face wash and whatever else you can’t live without for a few days. Purchase a few travel-sized items like travel deodorant and single packet make-up removers, too. Pack them all into an FDA-approved toiletry bag and you’ll be able to stay fresh for days – even without your full kit.

3) Charging Essentials
It’s a rookie mistake to separate your electronics from their charging devices, but it happens. If you’re just hopping a domestic flight it may seems like over-kill to load up your carry-on with a power bank and charging cables. BUT as we all know (or will eventually learn), you can never be too prepared when it comes to traveling. Arriving in a new place with no luggage and a phone battery on 5% feels nightmarish. Not only do you not have your belongings, but you’re about to lose contact with the outside world, GPS, and essential travel apps. Avoid disaster by making a habit of keeping a light-weight power bank and a few cables in your carry-on.  If you’re traveling internationally, make sure you’ve got a converter with you, too – your charger won’t do you any good if the plug doesn’t fit!

Oxford University has a bell that has been ringing since 1840.

For at least 180 years, an electric bell at Oxford University has been ringing continuously — and no one knows exactly how it works. The university has covered the bell with a double-paned glass dome (who could study with such noise?), but the mystery of its battery has gone unsilenced.

Built by a London instrument manufacturing firm in 1825 and acquired by Oxford in 1840, the item consists of two brass bells set below two batteries that look a bit like big wax candles. Between these bells is a small lead sphere, or clapper, that shutters back and forth, creating a near-constant ring. Estimates suggest the bell has likely rung more than 10 billion times.

In the mid-1700s, Benjamin Franklin experimented with devices for storing static electricity known as Leyden jars. Franklin called groupings of these jars a “battery,” referencing a military term for artillery working in unison.

This strange bell is powered by what’s called dry pile batteries, which use an incredibly small amount of electrostatic energy to move the clapper back and forth — so small that the two batteries have yet to run out of charge. Although no one’s sure exactly what’s inside the batteries (dissecting them would disrupt the bell’s historic run), the best guess is that they’re full of several thousand quarter-sized discs, made with metal foil and paper that has zinc sulfate and manganese dioxide added to it, all coated in sulfur.

Oxford believes the bell has another five to 10 years of life left, as the ringing has slowed considerably in the past 40 years. (These days, it’s inaudible.) That hasn’t kept the Oxford Electric Bell — also known as the Clarendon Dry Pile — from being recognized as the “world’s most durable battery” by the Guinness Book of World Records. After 180 years in service, it’s an accolade that’s well-deserved.

Most Common Items Found In Garages

In the busy lives we all have today, a garage is always the best solution to store belongings and provide a member of the family with a space of their own. In most cases, garages end up being a miscellaneous space used by everyone in the family to store magazines, DIY tools and even that electric bike you only ever used once.

However, there are some things that you will find in every single garage…

1. Paint Cans

Well, you’re not going to risk it and store used paint cans in the corner of the living room where your children will definitely throw them on the floor in a matter of days. Chances are that the paint left inside these cans has not been used for months or even years. But it’s always useful to keep some in case your three-year-old decides to turn into a Van Gogh and redecorate your bedroom walls…

2. Work Gloves

These are a must, as you’ll find yourself using them on so many occasions: working in the garden at night to get rid of the slugs that seem to love your strawberries, taking the rubbish out, and even emptying your cat’s litter box! Just make sure you keep the gloves in a visible place, or you think you have lost them and will purchase new ones. (And, in a matter of a year or less, gloves will have multiplied around your garage).

3. Old Newspapers and Magazines

Perhaps it’s the collection of comic books you loved when you were a teenager, or your children’s school books or old dated newspapers. Everyone is guilty of having towers of those in their garage – if you haven’t seen them yet, it’s just because they’re hiding behind a shelf or a mountain of sport gear.

Why we keep things like this is still a mystery. We’re never going to read them again, that’s for sure, but they do often hold some sentimental value – like those calligraphy books your children learnt to write with.

 4. Spiders

If there are lodgers in any garage – no matter what part of the country it’s in – these are spiders, although sizes and species change according to the location, of course. They may scare your kids and disgust you but, seriously, think twice before sending these creatures away. Yes, it’s true they are not paying you any rent, but they do something for you, and that’s keeping flies and other pests that are also trying to take advantage of your garage away.

5. Bikes

It’s not a good idea to leave the bike in the backyard. First of all, the rain will rust it pretty quickly, and its chances of being stolen multiply. That is why people who have garages use them to keep their bikes safe and in the best condition possible. (You wouldn’t leave a pile of cash in the garden to be attacked by the rain, right?)

What is the purpose of a man cave?

Purpose. Man caves have multiple purposes: they are a place to be alone, to indulge in hobbies, and to hang out with male friends. It is, loosely, a male-only space to retreat to watch sports matches, play video games, or hang out with friends.

Bill Maher blasts Biden's 'Ministry of Truth,' warns Democrats that the Disinformation Governance Board would have had a field day with Obama's big lie
May 14, 2022

Bill Maher issued a warning that the Biden administration's Disinformation Governance Board could backfire on Democrats. The HBO host hammered home his point by highlighting a lie by former President Barack Obama as an example. Maher also took a shot at the incoming disinformation czar Nina Jankowicz.

In late April, the Department of Homeland Security created the Disinformation Governance Board. At the time of the launch, the DHS said the new department's mission will be to "coordinate countering misinformation related to homeland security, focused specifically on irregular migration and Russia."

However, a Homeland Security Department memo released earlier this month appears to expand the Disinformation Governance Board's responsibilities and powers:

Disinformation, which is false information that is deliberately spread with the intent to deceive or mislead, can take many forms. When it comes to DHS’s work, the Department is focused on disinformation that threatens the security of the American people, including disinformation spread by foreign states such as Russia, China, and Iran, or other adversaries such as transnational criminal organizations and human smuggling organizations. Such malicious actors often spread disinformation to exploit vulnerable individuals and the American public, including during national emergencies.
On Friday night's episode of "Real Time with Bill Maher," the liberal talk show host said he agreed with the newly-formed department's role in combatting Russian disinformation since "they are our adversary and trying to hurt us." However, Maher was deeply concerned with how the Disinformation Governance Board could be politically weaponized.

"But then here's from the Department of Homeland Security, 'Disinformation is defined as false information that is deliberately spread with the intention to deceive or mislead,'" Maher quoted the DHS.

Maher then referenced the Obamacare promise to Americans from former President Obama.

"Well, you could have said that about ‘If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor,’" Maher suggested, recalling Obama's vow that was proclaimed "Lie of the Year" by PolitiFact in 2013.

"It said also, here's a phrase, ‘can take many forms.’ Okay, now we're going faster down the slippery slope," Maher warned.

Maher declared, "Okay, so government should not be involved in deciding what's true or not true!"

Maher then questioned what would happen to the Disinformation Governance Board if Republicans regained the White House in the next presidential election.

He asked, "Who do you think the truth czar is going to be in 2025?"

Former Rep. Jane Harman (D-Calif.) – who sits on the Department of Homeland Security advisory committee – said during the show that if the new department was "confined to a few missions" that "it'd be fine."

Harman conceded that "something very broad scale" would be "highly unfortunate," but told Maher, "I don't think that's where it's going."

Maher mentioned that many people are labeling the Disinformation Governance Board as the "Ministry of Truth" – the department of propaganda in George Orwell's dystopian book "1984."

"Yes, they're right to compare this to Orwell in the Ministry of Truth. It's exactly what it sounds like," Maher exclaimed.

Numerous Republicans have called Biden's Disinformation Governance Board the "Ministry of Truth" – including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.).

Maher also slammed the incoming director of the new Disinformation Governance Board for wanting to enable verified Twitter users to edit other users if they feel like a tweet is misleading.

During a recent Zoom call, Nina Jankowicz said, “Verified people can essentially start to ‘edit’ Twitter [in] the same sort of way that Wikipedia is so they can add context to certain tweets.”

Maher noted that Twitter users can easily add a reply to tweets – which could provide context.

"Oh, you mean like what Twitter is? That's what Twitter is. Somebody says something and then you add context," Maher snapped back sarcastically, then added, "These are not bright people in our government."

Earlier this month, Fox News host Greg Gutfeld suggested that Bill Maher should be Biden's disinformation czar because he is "somebody that pisses you off 50% of the time and doesn’t tick you off the other 50%."

During last week's "Real Time with Bill Maher," the liberal host railed against censorship.

"This idea that we can clean up Twitter and project you from fake news and disinformation- it's so ridiculous," Maher said, according to Fox News. "People always lie. That's what people do. Every age is the misinformation age. And whenever a new means of communication comes along, some reach right for the censor button. In 1858 The New York Times thought we couldn't handle the transatlantic telegraph. They said it was ‘superficial and too fast for the truth.’"

"Lies are all around you develop a better bulls**t detector," Maher snarled. "That's a better solution than me giving up what I'm allowed to read. Who decides that? Who decides what gets the ‘no evidence for that’ sticker slapped on it?"

"This is still America where people have the right to express what they think including to be wrong to lie and yes, the right to be an a**hole," Maher declared. "And if you think you know everything and no one else could possibly have some other truth, you should be glad for that protection, because you're an a**hole."

Data Scientist Claims Firing From Reuters for Statistically Refuting BLM Claims

Former Thomson Reuters data scientist Zac Kriegman is now detailing the circumstances of his firing, which he says came when he found evidence that refuted Black Lives Matter’s claims.

Kriegman’s job was to dig into numbers and conclude what they meant, but he apparently did his job too well. When he examined data on shootings of unarmed Black men for the news service, he found the facts did not add up to BLM claims.

The former director of data science was fired from his $350k-per-year position after sharing his findings on the company’s internal social media network. His conclusion? Police kill more unarmed White people than Black people and that the BLM movement led to the deaths of thousands.

Washington Post data documenting fatal police shootings show since 2015, police killed 3,024 White people and 1,596 Black people. However, due to Blacks making up only 13% of the population, media outlets reported that the minority population is disproportionately victimized.

Kreigman took a different approach, and he says that ended his six-year position at Reuters. His conclusion? Police are slightly less likely to use lethal force against Black suspects.

Besides using statistics to call into question the standard narrative that heaped praise on the “peaceful” movement, Kriegman showed numbers backing up the “Ferguson Effect.”

This controversial theory ties the major increase in violence and homicides after the police killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri to anti-police hostility and law enforcement reluctance to proactive policing.

Kriegman was called to Human Resources and Diversity & Inclusion. He says he refused to toe the line and was subsequently fired.

After the George Floyd killing, Kriegman says Reuters asked employees to take part in a “21-Day Racial Equity Habit-Building Challenge.” He says the program promoted reparations, critical race theory, and instruction on “how to be a better White person.”

After Floyd’s death, Kriegman says the company became a “blue bubble” with continuous celebrations of the BLM narrative. He adds that it was assumed that everyone was on board with the “standard” viewpoint.

What followed, according to Kriegman, was outright ridicule and hostility from colleagues. Then came his firing. The list of journalists and media members losing jobs for not kneeling to the woke mob gets longer, and further explains Americans turning away from the legacy media.

Bill Maher Slams
Abortion Fanatics

Again, Maher gets it right.
MAY 14, 2022

HBO star Bill Maher sometimes seems on the edge of chucking it all and coming out of the closet as a libertarian Republican. His tendency for quite a bit has been to savage both populists and the hard left. Which is an attitude this writer heartily agrees with. As of late, Maher gets the blatant illegality of the harassment of Supreme Court justices at their homes.

FNC: “Real Time” host Bill Maher blasted the protests that have taken place outside the homes of Supreme Court justices following the leaked majority opinion that signaled the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

During a panel discussion about the abortion debate, Maher called out outgoing White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki for being ‘down with this’ when she told reporters at a briefing last week ‘I don’t have an official U.S. Government position on where people protest.’ ”

“But we do!” Maher said on Friday. “It’s wrong! It’s intimidation! It’s against the law!” The HBO star admitted the protestors aren’t “terribly violent” but asked his guests, “Would you want this outside your house?”

Former Rep. Jane Harman, D-Calif., was on the same page with Maher, citing a 1950 law that says no one can protest outside a residence to influence a judge, adding “it would be much better” to gather for a rally in Washington D.C.

Maher brought up the larger point of growing basic differences between various states and regions of the country. “Look at some of the things that are being proposed in some of these states,” Maher said. “I mean, Louisiana says flat-out it’s a homicide. So when you drive from LA to Nevada, on one side of the border, you’re just a free person. The other side, you’re a criminal. You can fly across the country and gain and lose your reproductive rights 20 times. How can America sustain that? This gives a real issue to it. I wonder where this is going,” Maher said.

This writer and others are way ahead of you, Bill. For decades now America had been two countries. One traditional and free, the other socialist, racist, and authoritarian. Something must be done. For as the Bible and then Lincoln said, “A house divided against itself cannot stand.”

Maher cited the Clinton-era abortion mantra “safe, legal and rare,” arguing “that’s not where the Democrats are now” and that they “don’t say that anymore.” He hit the pro-choice caucus in the House for bending terminology, which included changing “choice” into “decision” and using the term “pro-abortion” “No one should be pro-abortion!” Maher rightfully exclaimed.

“So much of what we’re seeing right now is unprecedented,” pundit Ian Bremmer said. “You didn’t have opinions leak. You didn’t have people- masses demonstrated outside of the houses of Supreme Court justices!”

How do narcissists talk?

You: “I went to get my health checked and it seems I am sick. I’ve been found to have stage four brain cancer and I’m going to most likely die in three months”.

Narcissist: “I’m sick too. Did you know I’ve been feeling sick my whole life? Well, yes, it’s true! I blame the homeless people as they are the scourge of the earth. And you know those (mention any group) of lunatics are responsible for the world beIng so unfair to me. They stole my hard earned money!! They’re crooks!! And my ex girlfriend abused me!! This world is going completely down the shitter!! And I blame (name whatever group you like here).

You: “Okay. I’m not sure what I’m going to do?”

Narcissist: “I’m sure it’s a misdiagnosed thing. Maybe it’s just your imagination? Vitamins I take would most likely help you because they help me!!”

??TW: mentions of mental and physical abuse??

it’s terrifying, really… speaking from experience with a narcissist, they are incredibly charming and they tell you what you want to hear. to draw you in they will mold themselves to become the perfect person in your eyes, but it’s all a lie. and when they have you in their corner they will start to progressively get more and more abusive mentally (and in some cases physically). it’s terrifying.

i dated a narcissist and it was hard ti leave because i fell in love with this idea of the person i met. i was blinded by love (or what i thought was love). no matter how shitty he treated me i stayed because i had hope that the person i met would come back. there were days when i would think about leaving and that’s when he would up his loving game. he would give me a whole lot of attention when he sensed my suffering. he would act the way he did when he met, and it worked because i stayed.

my family warned me about him time and time again that he was a bad person, but i wouldn’t listen. when i told him of ny family’s concerns about him he used that to try and pull me away from them. and it almost worked, but when he started getting abusive physically, that’s when i called it quits. i didn’t deserve that treatment. no one does.

So, a word of advice, dear reader, if you have an icky feeling about someone or you see any red flags, run. be safe out there, drink water and practice self care!!! you’re doing amazing!!!

Dysfunctional Family Values
Biden’s Big Brother Will Be Watching Over You
MAY 12, 2022

“Threats to freedom of speech and writing, though often trivial in isolation, are cumulative in their effect, and unless checked, lead to disrespect for the rights of the citizen.” – George Orwell, ‘1984’

In 1946, George Orwell provided the definition of 20th century totalitarianism and how it will control society today. Orwell’s insight into the future, “Nineteen Eighty-Four,” provides a visceral cognition of the modern day progressive state that is controlled by an all powerful oligarchy.

The head of this political state is “Big Brother,” who secures control over the masses by denying freedom of speech.

Since the end of the Second Great War, prototypes of Big Brother’s all powerful and freedom-limiting governments have appeared around the world. These all-controlling autocracies use one common tactic to control the masses. They censor all forms of free expression; what is spoken and what is written. Big Brothers control the language and therefore they control the past, present and future.

After the Revolution, the colonies were so adamant about maintaining individual independence and liberty that they demanded that the architects of our Constitution include a Bill of Rights. The first right they coveted was the right to freedom of speech. The second was the right to bear arms to defend it.

America lays claim to free speech but has a long history of violating the First Amendment. Since John Adams outlawed criticizing elected officials in the 1800s, our free speech rights have been challenged.

“We must never disrespect those in elected office or their authority.” – John Adams

Many attempts at limiting free speech have come during war. Reporters were arrested in the North for opposing the Civil War, and their reports were censored. During World War I, vocal critics were jailed. During World War II, Franklin Roosevelt created the Office of Censorship to monitor information about the war. Everything published in newspapers or broadcasted on the airwaves was censored by FDR.

In 1955, the U.S. post office banned the Greek play “Lysistrata,” about women withholding sex due to war. That year, the FCC ordered that The Ed Sullivan Show film Elvis Presley from “the waist up” due to his “sexually explicit moves.” Many of his songs were also banned from radio stations.

“I feel my temperature rising. Help me, I’m flaming, I must be a hundred and nine” – Elvis Presley

When the court lifted a ban on William Burroughs’ book “The Naked Lunch” in 1965, this ended all censorship by U.S. Customs. The American Motion Picture Association adopted the Hays Code in 1968, which is today’s film rating system. In 1973, the Supreme Court ruled that adult pornography was no longer illegal. And even comic book star “Betty Boop” was allowed to appear in her mini skirt again.

“Girls, there are plenty of fish in the sea. Be sure you hook the right one!” – Betty Boop

Although the FCC’s Child Online Protection Act only censors internet content not fit for minors, the latest Pew Research poll found that 75% of Americans believe social media censors political views they find objectionable. Both Twitter and Facebook would not post anything about the Hunter Biden scandal, and censored conservative viewpoints last presidential election, which aided progressives.

Throughout the years, what the U.S. Supreme Court considers free speech has shifted from left to right and someplace in between. But they have usually come to their senses and redrawn the line in the sand when Big Brother “ventured too far over that line.” Let’s hope they do that to Joe Biden.

Orwell’s dystopian leader Big Brother maintains total control with his “Ministry of Truth.” This allows him to control the language and enables him to rewrite history. This enables him to justify what he does currently and will do in the future. He has total power over the society and the citizens.

“Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past.” – George Orwell

In true progressive form, last week “Big Brother” Joe Biden proclaimed he was crafting a personal “Ministry of Truth.” The creation of Biden’s “dystopian disinformation bureau” will coexist under the department of Homeland Security. His government police will monitor and censor free speech.

GOP congressmen called this a “disgrace” and an attack on the sanctity of the First Amendment.

U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Missouri, said “I thought this was a satire. Surely, no president would use his power to allow government to abridge our First Amendment rights!” Sadly, Hawley was mistaken.

It is an “inconvenient truth” that Joe Biden’s foray into “Big Brother’s” dystopian totalitarian state is obviously a reaction to Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter. Musk promised to make improvements with the social media platform that will make it a true free speech form for everyone.

When news broke of Elon Musk’s $3 billion investment in the forum, VP of Communications Lulu Cheng Meservey tweeted, “If you’re a Twitter employee worried about Elon Musk pushing for less regulated speech, do not come work on Tuesday.” Democrats and woke Twitter employees sent “APBs” to the White House tweeting serious concerns about not censoring conservative speech.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said that she didn’t have details on the board’s role, or its executive director, but said “President Biden knows that there has been a range of disinformation about a range of topics including COVID, election eligibility, and his policies – just to mention a few.”

Biden has joined an elite group of infamous dictators, all who established a “Ministry of Truth” to silence free speech and advance their peremptory hold over the people. Adolf Hitler in Germany had a Ministry of Truth run by Nazi Joseph Goebbels, and so did ruthless soviet dictator Joseph Stalin.

“How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don’t think.” – Adolf Hitler

George Orwell wrote, “The ministry of Truth is the ministry of lies.” Orwell’s protagonist is Winston Smith, head of the ministry of truth. His role is to rewrite historical facts to align them with what Big Brother wants the people to believe is true. This assures Big Brother’s party will never lose power; much like what progressives have been doing since they took control of our federal government.

The only ones buying into Biden’s dystopian truth ministry are those seeking to censor information that reveals key points of vulnerability for Biden and the Democrats. The left needs to hide the truth about illegal immigrants on our southern border, the true status of how Biden has destroyed the economy and Biden’s botching of Afghanistan, and news about our failed foreign policies in Russia and Ukraine.

Biden’s “Disinformation Board” is unconstitutional and all Americans must call Congress ASAP and demand that the coffin is nailed shut on Biden’s “Big Brother” before he is a creature.

It is far easier to kill a bad idea than a monster after he is created.

“Political chaos is connected with the decay of language. When the present is untrue, those untruths become the truth of the past.” – George Orwell

Democrats spent 6 months of research developing 'ultra-MAGA' barb, but it may backfire as Trump and Republicans embrace the supposed insult
May 14, 2022

Last October, an NBC Sports reporter attempted to go into damage control when a crowd was chanting "F*** Joe Biden" at a NASCAR race. The reporter claimed that the crowd was showing support for the winning driver, Brandon Brown, by shouting, "Let's go Brandon!"

The phrase "Let's go Brandon" instantly became a rallying call for detractors of President Joe Biden. "Let's go Brandon" has been chanted at sporting events, heard in rap songs, and seen on license plates, restaurant signs, shirts, flags, luggage, face masks, and even golf balls.

Democrats may have undertaken an extensive quest to discover their own version of the "Let's go Brandon" slogan.

The Washington Post reported this week that Democrats have spent six months attempting to develop a catchphrase to try to hurt Republicans heading into the 2022 midterm elections. The final result from the six months of research is "ultra-MAGA."

The "ultra-MAGA" term was the strategy developed by the liberal group Center for American Progress Action Fund – which is headed by top Biden aide Anita Dunn.

Polling and focus group testing done by the Hart Research and the Global Strategy Group indicated that potential voters saw the term "MAGA" more negatively than other labels such as "Trump Republicans."

"In battleground areas, more than twice as many voters said they would be less likely to vote for someone called a 'MAGA Republican' than would be more likely," the Washington Post reported. "The research also found that the description tapped into the broad agreement among voters that the Republican Party had become more extreme and power-hungry in recent years."

Navin Nayak – the president and executive director of CAP Action Fund – told the Washington Post that "ultra-MAGA" is a "versatile epithet" because "all of that extremism gets captured in that brand."

"We are not trying to create a new word," Nayak added. "This is how they define themselves."

President Joe Biden first employed the phrase on May 4, while speaking to reporters about deficit reduction at the White House. Biden said "ultra-MAGA" and "MAGA" on 10 different occasions – mostly used in an attack on Sen. Rick Scott's (R-Fla.) "Rescue America" plan.

"This MAGA crowd is really the most extreme political organization that's existed in American history, in recent American history," Biden told reporters.

While giving a statement on the economy on Tuesday, Biden used "ultra-MAGA" or "MAGA" five more times in reference to the popular campaign slogan of former President Donald Trump.

During a fundraising event in Chicago on Wednesday, President Biden uttered the focus group-approved lingo three more times.

"But we have to take on the — MAGA Republicans — 'Make America Great Again' Republicans. I think they’re the most extreme party," Biden said at the Democratic National Committee fundraiser. "And that’s what the Republican Party is now. Not everybody Republican believes that. But the fact of the matter is, they run the show — the MAGA Republicans."

Also on Wednesday, President Biden addressed the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 40th Annual Conference – where he recited the phrase five more times. Biden even called Trump "the great MAGA king."

"Under my predecessor, the great MAGA king, the deficit increased every single year he was president," Biden said of Trump. "The first year of my presidency — the first year, I reduced the deficit — literally reduced the deficit by $350 billion."

Ashley Parker – who wrote the Washington Post piece – noted, "Trump 'absolutely loved' co-opting Biden’s new nickname for him — 'the great MAGA king' — and has privately mocked Biden and Democrats’ 'ultra MAGA' taunt as coming from bad branders, who don’t understand the art of marketing."

Trump reacted to being called the "great MAGA king" by sharing a meme of him photoshopped on the cover of a "Lord of the Rings" movie on his Truth Social platform.

Trump also thanked Biden for the compliment, “The Great MAGA King is the name Joe Biden is now using to describe me. Thank you, Joe. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) also embraced the supposed barb, and declared, "I am ultra MAGA, and I'm proud of it."

Meanwhile, other Republicans are capitalizing on the Democrats trying to make the "MAGA" phrase great again.

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) is giving away 1,000 "ultra-MAGA" t-shirts away.

Trump's Save America Joint Fundraising Committee is offering "ultra-MAGA" t-shirts in exchange for a $45 contribution.

The Washington Post report that the phrase was developed by focus groups seems to contradict a claim by former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.

On Tuesday, Psaki claimed that "ultra-MAGA" was "the president's phrase and the president made those comments himself." Psaki said that President Biden added "ultra" to give "MAGA" a "little extra pop."

"But I can tell whether it’s tomorrow or in days and weeks ahead, you will all continue to hear him talk more about his concern about ultra-MAGA Republicans and their agenda," Psaki told reporters.

Other Democrat leaders have also adopted the "MAGA" messaging at the same time President Biden did.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) used the phrase "MAGA Republicans" on Tuesday, "For MAGA Republicans, this has never been about states’ rights. It has always been about getting rid of abortion altogether. Tomorrow, the Senate will vote on the Women’s Health Protection Act to protect abortion rights. We will see where every single senator stands."

Democratic Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot said on Thursday, "The single most patriotic thing a person can do is fight for their rights. You better believe I’m going to fight for women’s rights, LGBTQ+ rights, voting rights and every other freedom the MAGA crowd or Supreme Court is trying to take away."

Government assisted self-inflicted reduction of the surplus population.
The White House is Openly
Lying About Crack Pipes

Drug addiction is a very real and heartbreaking problem in the United States. Many Americans lose their lives to drugs unnecessarily on an ongoing basis.

Within the past few years, various stories of opioid addictions have made headlines. When former President Trump was in office, his administration worked at length to combat this crisis.

Unfortunately, on the watch of the Biden administration, the drug crisis has worsened. A huge part of this deals with fentanyl coming across the US southern border, along with crack pipes that are apparently funded by the federal government.

Months ago, the White House claimed that smoking kits handed out to various facilities across America would not include crack pipes. However, this has since been proven as a lie.

Unfortunately, the Biden administration is still not being honest with the American public.
Again.

The Truth About Government-funded Crack Pipes
Earlier this week, the Washington Free Beacon broke the news that crack pipes were included in the taxpayer-funded “safe smoking kits.” These pipes have been reportedly located in states like Virginia, New York, and Maryland.

Since the news of this broke, the White House has again insisted that crack pipes aren’t part of the smoking kits being distributed by this administration. Ongoing press secretary Jen Psaki even referred to reports of crack pipes as “conspiracies.”

This, too, is a lie.

Washington Free Beacon staff writer Patrick Hauf took to Twitter on Thursday morning with direct evidence against the White House’s claim. Hauf mentioned that he went to the various facilities where safe smoking kits are being handed out.

In these kits were needles, crack pipes, and other paraphernalia. Hauf also pointed out that in no way did these smoking kits do anything to bring rehabilitation to addicts.

The Problem With “Safe Smoking Kits”
Many conservatives have pushed back against not just crack pipes being handed to addicts by the government, but also against kits supposedly designed for “safe smoking.”

Smoking, in and of itself, comes with all sorts of risks that are very dangerous. On top of this, there’s an argument that says encouraging addicts to indulge in destructive behaviors doesn’t rehabilitate them. If anything, this is viewed by many Americans as only ensuring that addiction continues to thrive.

Even after Hauf went to facilities with these safe smoking kits and posted the contents of these kits online, the White House is still sticking to its claim that crack pipes aren’t being handed out.

‘Morning Joe’ Shouts Down
Obama Adviser Over
Inflation Honesty

Joe Scarborough refused to listen to the truth on a recent episode of “Morning Joe,” shouting down a former adviser for the Obama administration who admitted that President Joe Biden’s massive spending was “gasoline” on the fire of inflation.

Scarborough desperately attempted to defend Biden in a conversation with Steve Rattner, who worked as a counselor to the treasury secretary under former President Barack Obama.

The MSNBC host began the discussion by asking Rattner what Republicans could pin on Biden as his responsibility for causing the high inflation that is currently hurting Americans. After Rattner tried to cite out of control spending, and proposals for more spending as his answer, Scarborough began yelling at him.

“You had the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, which was passed early in his administration, which handed out a bunch of stimulus checks,” Rattner responded.

“No Republican votes on that,” Scarborough interjected.

“No Republican votes on that,” Rattner agreed. “And which, candidly, I think most economists at this point would say was putting a bit of gasoline on a fire that was starting to rise, but that would be your centerpiece. And then remember Biden wanted to propose another six and a half trillion…”

“Yeah, but he didn’t though!” Scarborough interrupted. “And see, that’s the thing, when Republicans…”

“But you’re asking me,” Rattner interjected back.

“No! No! No! No! No!” Scarborough shouted. “But what I’m asking is, what is he responsible for? His words didn’t fuel inflation!”

Scarborough went on to parrot the typical Democrat talking points in listing other causes for inflation that had little or nothing to do with Biden, and Rattner generally agreed with him.

Rattner also noted that even though it appears that inflation has plateaued, there is little or nothing that Biden can do before the upcoming midterm elections that could make enough of a difference to change the American people’s minds about it.

"It's all pretty goddam lame" said Ron Tello.

Poll Shows Joe Biden Most Unpopular
in History of Polling – We Need
Trump Back!

A new poll from NPR shows that Joe Biden has now accomplished an historic achievement. In the entire history of polling, dating back to the Truman administration, no Oval Office occupant has ever been as unpopular with the people as President Joe Biden. Joe Biden has directly hurt hundreds of millions of Americans and their families.

The term “train wreck” doesn’t even begin to describe how bad the Biden regime has been over the past 15 months.

There are two pieces of good news that dovetail with this. The November midterms will be here soon. And we still have good reason to believe that President Donald Trump is running again in 2024.

Based on his “historic” election, you would think that Joe Biden would be one of the most popular people to ever reside at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Biden received (LOL) 81 million votes in the 2020 election. No elected person has ever run for office anywhere in the world throughout all human history, who got that many votes. So, Joe Biden should be super popular!

But he’s not. Taxpayer-funded NPR is not exactly an outfit that is critical of Joe Biden or his failed political party. If anything, we know that when NPR conducts any polling at all, it’s weighted in favor of Democrats in order to make Democrats look better. It’s fake news. And now, not even NPR can fake just how unpopular Joe Biden is. If Donald Trump is a populist, then Joe Biden must be an un-populist based on these numbers.

87% of Democrats say they approve of the job Joe Biden is doing. No surprise there. But only 4% of Republicans approve of Biden, and his approval rating among Independents has plummeted to 29%.

Biden’s highest amount of support, not surprisingly, is in the northeastern US and New England. His approval rating is 51% overall there. In the Midwest, it’s down to 31%

But the biggest surprise that should have every Democrat in Congress wetting the bed at night is among the racial polling data that NPR conducted. 40% of white voters now disapprove of Joe Biden’s performance. And here’s the real kicker: Just 33% of Hispanic voters approve of the job that Joe Biden has done.

Biden has managed to lose about 50 percentage points among one of his political party’s core racial constituencies. A lot of the reason behind that is simply ‘woke’ politics: Grooming young schoolchildren, forcing 5 year olds to be taught CRT, insisting that men menstruate and need access to abortions, calling people racists at every turn, and so on.

It’s also economic. The financial well-being of Hispanic Americans (and everyone else) increased more quickly under Donald Trump than at any previous point in US history. Joe Biden has caused the worst inflation in American history and hurt working families very badly. Hispanics noticed this and to the surprise of many, they’ve decided to not stay wedded to a political party that doesn’t appreciate them.

Democrats in the November midterm elections could see a historic bloodbath as Hispanic voters punish them. 65% of Hispanics now disapprove of Biden and his party. That’s almost unbelievable, and yet the Democrats absolutely know it’s true. This is part of the reason why 31 incumbent Democrats are retiring from the House this year, and one US Senator (Patrick Leahy).

Their internal polling must be even worse than this NPR poll. 65% of Hispanics makes up a lot larger voting bloc than black voters, who still support Biden above the 85% approval mark for some reason. Hispanics outnumber black voters by a lot, population-wise.

And amid all this gloomy news for the Democrats, Donald Trump is still looming in the background. If the 2024 election were held today and it was between Trump and Biden, Trump would have a 50% to 34% blowout according to one poll.

Trump held a rally in Pennsylvania Friday night that was absolutely electric. It was just as crowded as many of his 2020 rallies. His popularity hasn’t declined at all. He’s more popular now than when he left office, in fact. At the end of the rally, Trump danced his way off stage to a carefully thought-out musical number, which is yet another hint as to his intentions. The song was “Hold On, I’m Coming” by Sam & Dave.

Chair of first UFO hearing since 1960s: 'Someone has to do it'
May 14, 2022

WASHINGTON — Congress last held a hearing on reports of UFOs — unidentified flying objects synonymous with space aliens — in the 1960s, and even in the realm of fiction, Scully and Mulder of “The X-Files” seem to have retired.

“Someone has to do it,” Rep.Andre Carson, an Indiana Democrat, says of the need for a public examination of unexplained aerial phenomena. The seven-term lawmaker will oversee a hearing on the issue Tuesday.

Two top defense intelligence officials are set to answer questions from the House Intelligence Committee’s subcommittee on counterterrorism, counterintelligence and counterproliferation as part of the session in Washington that’s scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

“There are ways that we can raise questions that UFO-logists have raised for many years, and just average everyday citizens have raised — for decades now,” Carson said standing outside the Capitol. “We all watch television, we’ve heard things, we’ve read things,” he said. “We want to see the footage and have it explained to us. That’s what we want to accomplish.”

Last June, a greatly anticipated declassified report found that more than 140 so-called Unidentified Aerial Phenomena incidents investigated by the government since 2004 — many reported by naval aviators — could not be explained.

Carson, 47, said there could be national security implications in some of what the committee will learn Tuesday. That’s one reason a classified, closed briefing will follow the public hearing, he added.

The second session is necessary even if it generates fresh suspicion of some government cover-up, Carson said. “Because our enemies will be listening very closely to hear what the military has to say. And we don’t want to give them an advantage over us.”

But he hoped the public portion won’t just be a black hole of government deflection.

“Some experts say 2% to 7% of these sitings are not based on weather balloons or computer malfunctions, or aircraft that is top secret — we can’t explain it away. So, hopefully we can dig much deeper and find out what’s going on,” he said.

Carson added that he’d personally like to think there’s life beyond Earth.

“I’d like to think in the realm of possibility that there are other life forms out there. Within our solar system, who knows?” said Carson. “Might life forms exist on one of the moons of one of our planets — I mean, that’s for NASA and other folks to let us know.”

Who is coming up with these ideas? Lucifer?
'Babies' Lives Matter!' Democrats Don't
Give a Darn About This BLM

May 15, 2022

Insanity. Everything President Joe Biden and his radical, treasonous, communist cabal does is pure insanity. But nothing is stranger than the Democrats' obsession with and hatred for children -- whether it be murder in the womb, or much later.

I'm not just talking about their obsession with allowing abortion up until birth. This is a clear mixture of insanity and desire for the mass murder of living, breathing babies.

But give Democrats an inch, and they always want a mile.

Now these same Democrats are going after perfectly healthy babies, months or even a year after birth. Because of a harsh nationwide baby formula shortage, babies could starve to death, or certainly face diminished lives because of damaged immune systems.

But Biden and Democrats are clearly too busy and distracted from destroying the economy; killing the entire energy industry; whipping up hyperinflation to destroy the middle class; sending $40 billion of taxpayer money to Ukraine (which I believe is the most corrupt nation on earth); trying their best to start a nuclear WWIII with Russia; making sure every violent criminal is released without bail; opening up the border to every disease- and poverty-stricken person in the world; brainwashing kindergartners to hate white people and question their sexual identity; asking the Justice Department and FBI to persecute and prosecute parents at PTA meetings; and of course, allowing violent, illegal protests at the homes of conservative Supreme Court judges -- knowing full well that one of these days a judge or their family may be murdered by an obsessed, abortion-crazed Democrat protester.

All of this obviously takes precedence for Biden and Democrats over something as unimportant as feeding babies.

Biden knew we were going to face a baby formula shortage. It was his Food and Drug Administration that shut down the biggest baby formula plant in America. The Biden administration knew what was coming. Biden did nothing. He warned no one. And to this moment, he has no plan.

Except to make sure there's plenty of baby formula for the babies of noncitizen migrants. Biden and his radical Marxist cabal have prioritized refugee babies over American-born babies. Have you seen the pallets of baby formula at border facilities, while shelves at supermarkets in Texas are bare?

But why would anyone be surprised at Democrats' twisted views about American children? Listen to the wild, radical, insane statements of Democrats in just the past week relating to their joy about and obsession with child murder...

First, our U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen made the statement that banning abortion would "hurt the economy." The treasury secretary of the United States is insane.

Then Democrat Rep. Katie Porter said hyperinflation reinforces the need for abortion. A congresswoman was essentially saying that since Biden policies have made gas and groceries unaffordable, American women must have the option to murder their babies.

Finally, we heard about "the piece de resistance:" ABORTION TOURISM.

Yes, California Democrats are trying to "make abortion fun again." California legislators are poised to pass a bill that would pay pregnant women from anywhere in America to vacation in California, hit the beach, get a nice tan, drink a mimosa -- and then murder their baby. What a vacation experience.

I'm surprised they're not setting up abortion clinics at Disneyland next to the roller-coaster.

Democrats are stark raving mad and pure evil. Who is coming up with these ideas? Lucifer?

Biden and his radical, treasonous, communist cabal have an obsession with killing babies. Tragically, it now extends to the living variety.

Except, of course, for refugee babies whose parents have illegally invaded our border. Those babies have "Democrat privilege." After all, in only 18 years they'll all be Democrat voters.

And obviously, if doctors could determine if a baby was born transgender, or gender-fluid, or gender binary, or gender neutral or gender expansive, Biden and his communist cabal would spare them too.

Democrats clearly see migrants and transgender people as the future of America.

We are living in insane times. Democrats' attempts to open the borders, kill our energy independence, spread violent crime to every big city and kill the economy are pretty darn insane.

But nothing compares to their bloodlust for hurting or killing innocent children. Democrats clearly don't give a darn about this BLM: "BABIES' LIVES MATTER."

WHAT'S AT STAKE

The digital revolution has produced the most diverse, participatory, and amplified communications medium humans have ever had: the Internet. The ACLU believes in an uncensored Internet, a vast free-speech zone deserving at least as much First Amendment protection as that afforded to traditional media such as books, newspapers, and magazines.

The ACLU has been at the forefront of protecting online freedom of expression in its myriad forms. We brought the first case in which the U.S. Supreme Court declared speech on the Internet equally worthy of the First Amendment’s historical protections. In that case, Reno v. American Civil Liberties Union, the Supreme Court held that the government can no more restrict a person’s access to words or images on the Internet than it can snatch a book out of someone’s hands or cover up a nude statue in a museum.

But that principle has not prevented constant new threats to Internet free speech. The ACLU remains vigilant against laws or policies that create new decency restrictions for online content, limit minors’ access to information, or allow the unmasking of anonymous speakers without careful court scrutiny.

And now, the complete, UNedited fb discussion
on the UFOs over Sugarloaf.

Cloud this, will ya?
In case I get abducted by Homeland Insecurity.

Am I the only one who sees UFOs over Sugarloaf every night? They look like stars but they wiggle and stay in a stationary position all night. They don't flow with the real stars. They appear to the East, South-Southwest and directly overhead. Trust me on this one, I'm not trippin'.

Geosynchronous satellites. Elon Musk has hundreds of them up there all in low orbit.

Geosynchronous satellites are over 22,000 miles high. Too high to see with the naked eye. Elon Musk's Starlink satellites are not geosynchronous. They're in low earth orbit at 340 miles high, traveling over 17,000 mph. So whatever you're seeing, it's not a satellite.

Darn right they perform! See, we're on to something here. Can't be satellites. More like Hot Rods in the skies. They don't even try to hide. I have spotted 4 of them, every night. So what is their objective?

Julia Aubrey I saw a huge mothership off the coast of Maui. It was there for over two hours, hovering above the water lighting up the waters below. When I asked the person who ran the retreat center she asked if I saw the mothership or little guys. They sit in the hot tub and watch them for hours. They come out as the whales migrate through.

The shite I personally seen was late night in OC. No more than a few hundred feet above my head. No sound, at allll. Clear ship with some kind of halo looking shield when the dude takes damage around it changing from Orange/light red color and moved away, again, without a noise. Saw it with about 6-7 other people in 2014?

Greg Youphoric Trip I saw the same thing floating just 30 feet above lake arrowhead and it slowly lifted up, shot a light out of it i to the hills and zoomed off, I swear to God.

Kellington Son daaamn that’s some shite! Funny thing was we were all around a fire in the backyard chillin and talking and a friend still to this day, was tryna get me to look at it as he saw it moving toward us in the distance and I first was like “it’s probably a helicopter man” cuz the light it had in the center looked spotlight-ish, then about 2-3 mins later he was like yooo wtf is that again and it was so close with no noise what so ever, eventually getting right over us… shite was wild. My dad said I turned white af and I had a literal tear in my eye cuz I knew wtf I was seeing was actually, what it was.. an damn UFO 🛸 triangle one, had a bright center light then each of the three points had lights less bright, and that strange orange/red shield type thing pulsing brighter to dimmer and just was a huuuuge “holy felafel this is real” moment. Always believed, and that night made me know it’s all felafeling real. So many are in denial of things like that, and I’ll swear til the day I’m dead what I seen. Was New Year’s Eve, and I’ve heard things where they’re spotted over and around, active war zones and what does a shite load of fireworks going off at night look like from the air.. a damn war zone. Was living in La Habra back then, it came from like Anaheim area right over like Fullerton Road and took several mins til it made it over our house the whole time I was like man you’re trippin but my buddy spotted it first. Took about 3-4 times for me to actually pay attention to what he was tryna show me… Would see it’s light through the trees in the distance until it was right over head. And after a few mins it started to leave and I bolted through the house to tell everyone who were inside & ran to the front and watched it move away as slowly as it showed up soundless, towards Beuna Park direction back towards the coast. shites a memory that’s been just burned into my brain and I can never forget it

Maretta Yeager Doppler only tells you if the light is compressed because the star is coming at you (red shift) or is strected out- moving away (blue shift). Can't see that with your eyes. Need a spectrometer.

I have. I recorded one about a month ago. Definitely not satellites. Much closer. I thought maybe a drone, it was bouncing up and down in one spot. I saw it as I started up the 330, but as I got closer it never did, it was so strange. I ended up getting freaked out and hurried home
