Hey Horsie one

Apparently Ebay is full of fail due to the 'migration of international listings U.S and UK' into the AU site (you know..all those listings that are going to flood and drown out Aussie sellers) and is causing muy problemo across the board, no they did not deem it worthy of 'an announcement'.
It is hit and miss until they have finished making yet another suicidal ebay implementation.
You will see some state it is ISP related, it is not in all cases...lag is almost exclusively affecting Ebay collectively, everyone from Telstra BP to Dodo to Optus etc etc ad infinitum is suffering the same fate with varying degrees, I doubt that each and every ISP could be suffering a slow load time on Ebay and yet have normal speeds on other sites o/s included.
Telstra's DNS servers were playing up but given that almost all other ISP's are suffering the same load times on Ebay the other unrelated issue with Telstra may purely coincidental, also another problem was caused by three or more cables between Japan and USA being damaged. This meant that traffic had to routed via different routes which has placed a higher load on the REACH cable which Telstra uses, it is likely other ISP's also use the same route but not all and of course some ISPs use the same cable bundle so could be simarly affected, but again not all.
FYI, I am with Optus and have experienced no lag anywhere, Ebay included to date while others cannot get Ebay to load period, it's a good time to be buying lol.
