Morning all,

Hello Knock Knock and Light n Creamy.

Thanks for the welcome Roo, Mtnlane and Countess.  Pssst Countess, I is really from Oz not the UK. :D

Roo, those were the days, the old Hijackers thread, was a lot of fun back then, a lot has changed and yes, I would love to see Redeye here as well, always the gentleman.

Hi barny, just read through this thread.(sorry,e key here has suddenly/inexplicably stuck!!)
Ta for welcome;great to see all the faces of reason and humaness here.
Tis great to find a potential Utopia away from a place where the need to report unsaintly simpering snivelling leads to indefinite gagging with no warning.

Tis also wonderful to hear and see the rain here and to gleefully anticipate the looming annual pilgrimage to Brisbane (2 grandsons to see this year).
Cheers to all.John.

I've got to do some searching for more French Scrabble. I must admit that eBay still seems to be the only place where I can obtain them. I snaffled one recently for one person on the request list, but now I have four more people demanding their own French Scrabble!

I haven't had any luck with Italian Scrabble - far, far too expensive with the postage. And if I start looking for Russian Scrabble (for myself), I think I may be unlucky...

Wish me luck as I try to find things in the eBay search!  :violin:

Hi, Jonnjenn - we must have cross-posted!

Welcome, and relax with the pleasure of decent conversation, a nice cup of coffee, and (hopefully) a fast loading forum.

By the way, please post any glitches or problems if you encounter any. The tech admin team (I'm one of them) will do the best we can to address problems as they arise.

Hi Cosmo and John, Welcome to Round Table which we hope will retain its utopian feel forever. Very few rules, just a little decorum and a lot of respect.  Check it all out and Have fun.

Hello, Cosmo

I don't usually use emoticons, but some of the ones we've got here have an interesting sort of flavour... Who could resist the pirate ship emoticon?

I noticed Barny mention (way back) that he could see how many members/guest were logged in and how many were hidden, he also mentioned being able to see your own ip address. I can't see this stuff, or am I looking in the wrong place?

Hi Cosmo as things have progressed some changes on the site have occured since the first few days, so many of the early comments are no longer valid.

Its only been up for a week and its still evolving, hopefully improving with time.

When you consider how far we have come in so little time just imagine what it will be in a whole month  :D

As Hawk says, yes - this place is evolving all the time. For instance, it's now a default setting to have your email unavailable to general view, which is great because you have a right to your privacy.

Cosmo... yes, you found the llama emoticon! We DID include that especially in honour of Llama.

Another hint for Roo - you probably wear me every day ;)

(sorry, I really didn't expect to confuse people this much, I thought most of you would remember my 99 ID)

I haven't finished reading this thread yet, but I think this was a VERY bad clue because Roo said she often doesn't  ;D

Why thanks for the welcome.  I'm exhausted.  I've just finished cleaning up the yellow fountain after Fluffy went swimming there yesterday.  Has anyone seen Duck Dodgers?  He hasn't been home for a couple of weeks.
Any cream cakes or chocolate?

I spoke to duck-dodgers the other night, he gave permission to post his email if anybody was wondering what he's up to...here it is...

Dear yibida,

Thanks for the invite Yibida, I post very little nowdays on boards and when I do it's bits and pieces with big breaks in between. If I do join the board they might think I am ignoring them because of my seldom posting so it might be better not to join until I can make bette use of it. If they can put the posting name duckdodgers in quarantine/hybernation for the time been it would be great. Feel free to post my message there if you see fit. Kind regards, Duck.

my reply:

Dear duck---dodgers,

No problem duck, I was a bit cautious at first but I feel quite comfortable there now, there are quite a few of the regulars you will recognize, most have used their ebay id's like myself and some have chosen new one's,there are no minimum limit's on posting's so you can post at your own leisure, it's a very relaxed atmosphere, pop in when you feel your ready, col, beefy, contessa, me and rest of the gang look forward to chatting with you again, my avatar marvin the martian look's out of place with out the duck_dodger's near him, talk to you soon mate, take care, cheers Pete.

Cosmo, it was the fatman that I got slapped for when I had another (well known) ID.

I had him as my ME page image and had the whole page reported and removed for profane images. You made the bikini-clad one to make it less offensive, and we both got slapped for posting it.

Later I even got slapped for the cactus head version too. I got numerous direct complaints from members that I was taking the "mickey" out of obese people. Pretty silly considering that I was posing as myself in those shots (I gave up the smokes and now eat instead).

I almost posted a copy of your "Simon on the toilet", but decided that might be too crass and distasteful for these lovely people here at OzRT  ;D

G'Day Loopy,

Welcome. I won't make a suggestion about an avatar for you, coz with your ID, I might offend.

But, this smilie might help.

And I have been suitably chastised for it, but this one is good when posting to me  :yesmaster:
