On 2nd April 2012, Australia Post changed its fee structure for parcels.

To ensure sellers are able to remain competitive, eBay has today updated relevant postage caps to reflect Australia Post's changes.

The postage cap changes are as follows:

Books and Magazines: all postage caps have been removed

CDs: postage cap has been increased from $5.20 to $7.20

DVDs: postage cap has been increased from $10.40 to $11.40

That's about time. Now at least eBay sellers selling in that category can include more realistic postage prices.

the cap has been inappropriate for years ....

its a pain to have had to go to 'calculated' postage just to put the right package and postage rate on a book

ebays argument that 'ebay is just a venue' is absolute bs in that light and of course the gutless accc and others will not take them to task about it, likewise they get away as far as i know still gst free largely in this country due to their 'venue' status

what other 'venue' can you imagine ever being as controlling as feebay???
