AUSTRALIA POST - New Parcel Post Rates: 2nd April; PrePaid Satchels: 5th March

Here are a few of the rate changes.  (Links to the announcement and full information sheets can be found below.)

Regular parcels  (effective 2 April 2012)

Distance charges   Add per kg rate to the distance charges to all zones except cross-town.

** NOTE: The 0 - 250g range for small parcels will no longer exist.  ALL Small Parcels under 500g will be charged at the new rate.

Some other points:

• A weighted average incease of 10% will apply to eBay flat rate satchels.
• There are no changes to International prices.
• There are no changes to Letter rates.

thanks ... the ebay satchel rate still looks attractive comparative to standard rate , thats good

bruddy outrageous and they still close branches and their service is slower than before and more expensive, reckon we pay the most of anywhere in the world now, has killed the business of posting books os, i send customers the post rate and its usually way more than the book, total rip off

dr seuss called it 'biggering' but it doesnt mean they keep more aussies employed just rake more in and reduce branches and employee numbers - sucks
