How Composting Toilets Work

Composting toilets are a new type of toilet that uses biological mechanisms such as worms and bacteria to break down waste. It uses anaerobic digestion to break down and turn human waste into compost. The waste is composted without oxygen and used as mulch for crops.

Composting toilets can break down waste into usable fertilizer faster than traditional septic tanks. The process is a lot like the earth’s natural decomposition process, and it is far more environmentally friendly than conventional sewage systems. The procedure removes nutrients from the waste, which allows for healthy, rich soil that does not harm the environment.

Composting toilets, especially using a natural way to compost, have many benefits over traditional toilets, such as being a more sustainable way to fertilize gardens and reduce stormwater runoff.

Composting toilets work by separating solid wastes from liquids during the flushing process and then processing the waste and drinks together in a chamber. It is heated to an adequately high temperature to kill all the pathogens in the trash.

The heat turns organic waste into a sterile sludge stored in a chamber until added to the garden as fertilizer. These are primarily remote regions, countries like India, China, and Russia. In the U.S., Composting toilets are becoming popular. In some states, it is necessary to use composting toilets.

What Is Free-Range Chicken?

As declared by the United States Department of Agriculture, every American consumes roughly ninety-four pounds of chicken annually. This chicken consumption is predicted to increase as the years pass by. With this, the increased awareness of consumers of the way chickens is raised.

As individuals shop for chicken, they may be thinking about the actual meaning of free-range. We will attempt to explain the term and the difference between traditionally raised and free-range.

When individuals see free-range chicken at the supermarket, it would make sense if the assumption was made that the chickens were free to roam grassy pastures. However, this is not always the situation. As stated by the United States Department of Agriculture, free-range labeled chicken ought to have access to the outside.

However, the regulation does not specify the size of the outdoor area or the period of time the chickens must be outside for. Thus, chickens have been known to be crowded into a tiny outdoor space for a few minutes each day. Therefore, allowing them to be qualified as free-range chickens.

What is more, the regulation does not stipulate what type of outdoor space it should be either. This leads to chickens having access to small dirt or gravel spaces. Rather than green, grassy areas for them to graze. What is more, the USDA has no process of conducting audits on the facilities in order to assess the outdoor space. As a matter of fact, the report discovered that very little evidence is needed to support access to outdoor claims.

Secret NASA “Super Fuel” Could Power 95 Million Homes in America

This unusual, eco-friendly “Super Fuel” has already
begun soaring for a 12,200% growth surge...
And could hand investors 1,900% profits or more...
It’s got nothing to do with natural gas, nuclear, hydrogen, or lithium...

THIS is the dawn of a new, explosively profitable era in energy history...

A virtually unknown non-oil “super fuel” is taking the world by storm... and is set for total domination of the global markets.

As the BBC says, it “may soon be powering your neighborhood.”

But I guarantee that 99% of folks have never heard of it before... let alone its extraordinary ability to power America’s clean energy future.

And it’s NOT lithium or hydrogen. It’s not natural gas or nuclear. It’s much safer, more efficient, and more powerful than them.

That’s why it will be the winner of a massive, growing market worth $546 BILLION — per year!

One that Power Magazine calls “a trillion-dollar holy grail.”

And CNBC says, “has the potential to change the way we live.”

But for early investors, it could do more than just change the way you live... it could change your financial future forever.

I believe that this powerful “super fuel” stands to be the biggest wealth creator of our lifetime.

"You don't always have to be doing something.
You can just be, and that's plenty."

-Alice Walker

Since writing her first poetry book in 1968, Alice Walker has gone on to publish more than 30 literary works, including her Pulitzer Prize-winning novel "The Color Purple," and has spent decades advocating for women’s rights and civil rights.

But through all this activity she maintains a sense of stillness, of just being. This quote is a welcome invitation to slow down and take in the simple joys of living — or, as Walker put it, to feel connected to and loved by the universe.

Barack Obama just broke a rule Joe Biden demanded every American follow

Joe Biden has a public relations nightmare on his hands.
It involves one of his closest allies.
And Barack Obama just broke a rule Joe Biden demanded every American follow.

Barack Obama turns 60 on August 4.

In celebration of that milestone, Obama is throwing himself a massive birthday party at his family’s new 12 million dollar Martha’s Vineyard estate.

500 guests – including A-listers like Oprah and Steve Spielberg – will attend with Obama hiring 200 staff to wait on his celebrity guests.

Obama also signed up rock band Pearl Jam to perform.

The Daily Mail reports:

Former President Barack Obama has come under fire for his plans to host nearly 500 people at his Martha’s Vineyard mansion for his 60th birthday, despite a nationwide rise in COVID cases.

The former president is set to turn 60 on August 4, and is said to be planning a large soiree at his 7,000-square-foot mansion in the Edgarton section of Martha’s Vineyard next weekend.

An official familiar with the plans told Axios that there are now 475 confirmed guests for the party – including Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney and Steven Spielberg – with more than 200 staff members.

This comes after the Biden administration urged all Americans – regardless of vaccination status – to wear masks and Joe Biden threatened further COVID restrictions.

Biden will not face questions about how he can expect Americans to live by his public health pronouncements and take the virus seriously when Barack Obama threw a birthday bash that ignored the Centers for Disease Control’s recommendation on how to slow the spread of coronavirus.

This adds to the layers of communications failures the Biden administration is dealing with as cases of the so-called “delta” variant surge across the country.

Many Americans find the Biden administration’s message confusing as the administration says the vaccines work, but then also tells vaccinated people to wear a mask.

In addition, the administration demands Americans comply with the ever-changing CDC edicts while Joe Biden’s closest allies openly flaunt the guidelines.

NYC Mayor: No Vaccination – No Restaurant Dining

Happening Now: New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (see video below) just announced that people will be barred from most indoor activities in New York City unless they have a city-issued “pass” proving they have been vaccinated against COVID-19.

The activities that will be restricted include indoor dining, indoor fitness, indoor entertainment and performances, and similar group indoor functions.

Many are asking whether this move by New York City will spread to other communities.

Sabatini told Breitbart News that Murphy “is not fit for office and probably not mentally stable.”

Democratic Rep. Stephanie Murphy Responds To Question About Mask Hypocrisy With One-Finger Salute

On July 30, a female National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) staffer asked a Democratic Congresswoman about Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s new mask mandate. She got a response, just not a verbal one. Instead, she got a quick flip of the bird for her trouble.

Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-FL) was asked, “Congresswoman Murphy, quick question: do you think Nancy Pelosi should be arrested for breaking her own mask mandate?”

Murphy did not answer but made a scratching motion with her hand that included an obscene gesture. He represents the 7th congressional district of Florida, which covers sections of the Orlando metropolitan area.

Republican State Rep. Anthony Sabatini, who is running against Murphy in next year’s midterm election, tweeted a screenshot of the gesture with the comment: “My far-left opponent @SMurphyCongress has embarrassed Florida once AGAIN, this time for giving the bird to a person who asked her a simple question. This Congresswoman is total trash! I’m officially calling for her immediate resignation NOW!”

Sabatini told Breitbart News that Murphy “is not fit for office and probably not mentally stable.”

Murphy had initially planned a run for the Senate but has since decided to retain her House seat. She has referred to Sabatine as an “Extremist Trump Supporter.” She has published campaign material stating: “It’s crucial that we show grassroots strength when those numbers of donations are made public, or else people like Sabatini will feel even more emboldened.”

Murphy was asked about the Capitol mask mandate after Pelosi “was caught twice within hours breaking the new mask mandate she imposed in the House of Representatives forcing anyone walking the halls of Congress, even the vaccinated, to wear a mask with the threat of being arrested.”

The NRCC made a statement about the incident through communications director Michael McAdams: “House Democrats can’t handle being held accountable for their radical actions, so they’re resorting to making obscene gestures at young female staffers.”

The NRCC has previously stated in campaign material that “Murphy votes in lockstep with Nancy Pelosi’s socialist agenda and will be fired by Floridians in 2022.”

13 Things You Can Scavenge From Cars After The SHTF

Cars are everywhere. If you’re anywhere near a city when the SHTF, you’ll come across thousands of them. And if the disaster is severe enough, many of these vehicles will be abandoned. Why does this matter? Because there are many survival items you can scavenge from abandoned vehicles.

Some people will object to this article, saying it’s wrong to take what isn’t yours. Normally I’d agree, but I believe morality varies depending on the circumstances. If you’re in a situation where an apparently abandoned vehicle has items in it that you need to survive, then I would argue that you’re morally obligated to take them. If not for yourself, then for your family.

Your future sushi dinner could be cultivated, not caught

Startups are getting close to being able to sell cultivated seafood products that have been grown from fish cells in a lab-like facility, rather than caught in the wild or farmed.

Why it matters: Developing cultivated animal protein that could compete with conventional products is a promising way for people to eat what they want without killing animals or damaging the planet.

But cultivated seafood could also help alleviate the conservation pressure on wild fish caused by overfishing.
What's happening: Last week I had the chance to try a few pieces of cultivated salmon sashimi and sushi from the startup Wild Type, which says it is close to being able to commercially produce salmon grown from fish cells in its San Francisco facility.

The verdict: I give it a solid B+ — not at the level of the best sushi I've ever had (that would be Sushi no Midori in Tokyo; high recommend, especially if you have a corporate expense account) — but much better than your average weekday takeout restaurant.
In appearance, taste and mouthfeel, the cultivated salmon served to me was indistinguishable from fish that had been caught in the ocean or raised on a farm.
What they're saying: "This is sustainable seafood that is within reach," says Justin Kolbeck, Wildtype's co-founder and CEO. "And the long-term goal is to make it even cheaper than conventional salmon."

How it works: Like other cultivated animal protein — which you may also know as "lab-grown," though the industry is trying to discourage the term — Wildtype's salmon started as a ball of cells harmlessly taken from a live fish egg.

And that's it for live fish in the process. "After we developed these cell lines, we haven't looked at a fish," says Wildtype co-founder Aryé Elfenbein.
That was followed by years of scientific work to determine what mix of nutrients and environmental cues were needed to coax the base cells into the mix of muscle, fat and connective tissue a finished product needs.
"The second part is creating a plant-based scaffold, essentially a mesh for the cells to grow within," says Elfenbein.
The end result isn't a live fish but what looks like a block of edible salmon fillet.
The catch: Cultivated seafood — and cultivated animal protein more generally — hasn't yet been approved for commercial consumption, though Kolbeck says Wildtype is in "productive discussions" with the FDA.

Another barrier is price. Kolbeck estimates that it costs Wildtype about $25 to produce the eight pieces of sushi I ate. That's more than you'd pay for conventional fish, but Kolbeck expects the price to drop "significantly" as the company scales up.
Yes, but: Unlike cultivated beef or chicken — which have to compete with ultra-cheap conventional options — cultivated seafood faces a future where, thanks to overfishing and climate change, the price of much conventional seafood is likely "only going to increase," says Kolbeck.

That gives a conservation spin to cultivated seafood. While we're in no danger of running out of chickens or cattle — there are currently about 23 billion and 1.4 billion, respectively — global wild fish stocks are under severe pressure.
"We're just at the very beginning of a story that will be the next gigantic level of the climate crisis," says Kolbeck. "It's just a downward slope for wild fish."
By the numbers: Cultivated protein companies raised $366 million in funding in 2020, and other startups — like BlueNalu in San Diego, which makes cultivated fish, and Shiok Meats, which makes cultivated shrimp — are competing in the seafood space.

A recent study found that 80% of consumers in the U.S. and U.K. were at least somewhat willing to try cultivated animal protein, with younger generations markedly more open.
What to watch: Wildtype will be opening up a sushi bar at its San Francisco pilot plant in the fall, where visitors will be able to try the product and tour the facility.

The bottom line: If there is going to be fish on our plates in the future, much of it will likely need to be cultivated.

Martin Walsh from Trending Politics reports, The Biden administration is planning to unveil a plan to address the “root causes” of migration and it already seems downright pathetic. As noted by CNN, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ plan looks at why migrants from Mexico and the “Northern Triangle” countries of Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador, are coming to the U.S.
