If the car is idling, will it charge the battery?

I’m assuming that we are discussing a normal gasoline or diesel vehicle that is not a hybrid, for the purposes of my reply.

At idle, the alternator will be turning, but it likely will not be producing the maximum current available. If you are pulling a large amount of power from the battery, such as running a very large inverter, electronics, high-power car audio amplifiers, etc. then the alternator may not be able to keep up with the drain at idle speed. I have seen scenarios with high-wattage car audio amplifiers where the battery died completely while the car was running, thus causing the car’s computer and ignition systems to fail, and the car stopped running. This is rare, but can happen if the load placed on the battery is greater than the current being put back into it with the alternator.

So, to put it simply, yes, MOST vehicles will charge the battery, albeit slowly, at idle RPM. Be careful of placing large electrical loads on the car at idle, however, as it could actually cause you to drain your battery, even though the engine is running.

Sativa won't make u paranoids as much... discipline is good also... use weed as medication not a drug. Have max 2 times doses a day. Just like how u will take a tablet... Not over use it ..it helped me. I noticed when I was smoking more.than 4 times a.day. it got expensive and weed does make u slow and lazy but it worked to control the voices in my head to a certain lightweight extent.

Whenever I partake it makes me feel like I can’t think and just makes me happy, which can be a good thing lol. So I’d say it helps me more than hurts! The only thing it hurts is my lightweight wallet lmao.

I’m schizoaffective type bipolar with ptsd, agoraphobia, and panic disorder and weed helps me in so many ways but I don’t use it often because it’s not fully legal here. but I also use cbd and delta 8 (hemp) which are 100% legal and they help me too but not as much as regular weed.  I am a lightweight.

I used to smoke, but after a while of doing it I would have cannabis induced psychosis. So I had to stop, unfortunately. Maybe those are the bad long term effects they're referring to? Or I am just a "Light weight".

My father was schizophrenic and I am either schizophrenic or schizoaffective and medical marijuana has helped both of us tremendously.

After therapy today she diagnosed me from acute stress disorder to PTSD. We have been doing exposure therapy models that have been helping but I’m happy to finally have an answer. Anyone else Schizoaffective with PTSD?
