I had switched off the computer and just logged back in - leaving a short essay for Brumby over in the coinie forum.

I work in health and (sounds ironic) but I have gone to a lot of funerals ... the younger the person the sadder & more painful it is.
It doesn't fit with our sense of order when we can't see it being the right time for the younger ones.
Our friend was older - got see her kids grow up - couple of grandkids on the scene strong christian faith, well prepared for the big trip over to 'the other side'. So it had a certain acceptable level of 'fit' with the order of life.
But, we are mere mortals and thus, fragile. A Chinese friend of mine told me of a Chinese saying a long time ago,
"The distance between life and death is as thin as a piece of rice paper'
and I now believe it.
Got to hug the kids
