There are several traffic restrictions that will be in effect tonight within Big Bear Lake.
?? Pine Knot Avenue from the south side of Big Bear Boulevard to the north side of Village Drive will be closed from 6 p.m. to midnight to all motor vehicles. Any vehicles parked on Pine Knot Avenue will be towed prior to 7 p.m. Stone Road and Pedder Road between Pine Knot Avenue and Knickerbocker Road will remain open, but no parking will be allowed on these streets.
?? Following the conclusion of the fireworks show, a number of high-traffic intersections will be controlled by the Sheriff's Department in an effort to improve the flow of traffic. Any vehicles turning onto Big Bear Boulevard between Alden Road and Bonanza Trail will be required to turn right onto Big Bear Boulevard.

A trough of low pressure remains in place across the west coast for below-normal temperatures and locally breezy conditions during the afternoons with a predominant onshore flow. Looking at a spectacular Independence Holiday under clear blue skies today with dry weather out there. Temperatures will top out in the mid 70's this afternoon with southwest winds gusting 10-20MPH during the afternoon, decreasing around sunset. Expect perfect viewing for the fireworks show over the lake tonight with westerly winds to around 10 mph and temperatures in the 50's. If you are headed out to see the big show, be sure to take a radio along as KBHR will have the show synchronized to music on 93.3FM and 102.5FM, also streaming online at kbhr933.com; fireworks go off a little after 9:00PM! High pressure will rebuild over the area Tuesday leading to warmer weather later in the week as highs climb back into the 80's by the weekend. There is a chance we could see some mid and upper moisture start to infiltrate towards the weekend, but at this time it appears the deepest moisture and convection will remain just to our east.

The number 1 priority is to allow the active investigation to continue without interference. When the time comes to resume searches we will be posting information in this group to organize and come together. Until then, please have patience while law enforcement does their job.

The law enforcement investigation into the disappearance of Dylan Rounds is ongoing.  Law enforcement continues to be in the Lucin area. At this time there are no organized searches planned for members of the public to participate in that are supported or authorized by law enforcement. We are asking the public to not search the area, as it has the potential to compromise the investigation.
We are working with the Rounds family, and they have asked us to share their following statement:
As a family, we are not asking for, or requesting any additional public searches for Dylan Rounds at this time. We request that everyone allow law enforcement to continue their organized investigation without any hindrance or interference, in order to avoid jeopardizing the investigation.
We thank everyone for their continued support in finding Dylan Rounds.

I’ve followed this case closely but admittedly have not been able to read every post or comment. Is there a possibility they are simply searching in the wrong area? Could he have been taken away from where they believe he might be? I’m familiar with the area and know how vast it is but maybe he’ll never been found in that area because he’s not there. Just a thought.
