The water mark is too transparent and hard to see... add some shading to it wheels

Colours, sizing, orientation, placement and transparency are all adjustable - and font is chosen from whatever you have available.  Can throw in any other image too ... just not let it get too busy.

I am aware that some people might not like the visual intrusion - but the trade-off is whether you want you hard work pilfered.

One other point of interest ... I do a watermark for the photos I take for my seller, but do not do anything to photos 'borrowed' from manufacturers' websites.  Sometimes, they just want to get an item listed and can't wait for my shots, so they use those from the manufacturer.  My seller was in communication with a buyer who did not purchase one such item because 'the photo did not look like one of theirs"!!

Their (reasonably prominent) watermark had become a recognisable part of their 'branding' (for want of a better word) - with it, they attract sales, without it, they lose sales.

For those who might be wondering - there is no magic in the watermark itself.  It is merely a visual cue for buyers to instantly recognise the seller ... when they are looking at the picture.

The value in this comes from the seller doing the hard yards with servicing their customers, getting good feedback, politely dealing with the dumb questions, etc. - thus earning the respect of buyers and getting repeat custom.

A good reputation associated with a watermark will attract buyers.

A bad one will get them hitting the 'back' buton real quick.

No hard work involved - just a scan of a book cover.
I just wish the watermark had been a bit bigger because the other seller's gallery pic would have given us a bit more advertising!  :evillaugh:

Wheelsie...........  Do you know a bloke called Noel Sens (disabled I think) who runs Bendigo cycling??  He is offering a free 8-10 week course for kids 10-12 to get involved in cycling.

1.    What sort of bike would they need?
2.    They both got a FREE bike through drought relief about 3 years ago.  I guess that wouldn't cut it?
3.    They were presented up the valodrome and they loved scooting round the track.... in fact the bloke on the motorbike had to run my boy over just to get the track back for the next race.   ;D
4.    I used to work with Paul Kelly (Shanes brother) who turned up on SPARE $10,000 bikes.  I don't think I could ENCOURAGE them that much!
5.    Is there a starting level and move up from there?

Thanks.

Golden, you'd have to talk to the male members of the wheels family for any technical cycling stuff. I just like to watch!

The track rider in the family has raced a lot at Bendigo, including the Madison a couple of times. Most clubs have a set of track bikes (fixed gear, no brakes) for beginners to use to have a go at track cycling. And I'm sure Bendigo would have some as they have a large junior program. Their website should have some useful info. http://www.bendigocyclingclub.com.au/  If your kids are interested then I'd jump at the chance of the free course. It's a great sport to get involved in and most kids would start out on borrowed bikes (ours did and he was 20 years old at the time!)
