Searching Bidder History on eBay

I've just done a bidder history search on eBay and got the following response:

Not possible

Privacy laws in some European countries do not allow us to pass on information involving bidders from those countries. If you want to find all auctions this user has bid on, please contact the user directly by email.

Huh? The bidder is registered with eBay AU

My experience is on the US site, several years ago eBay set about to restrict, then eliminate the portals of Seller-Buyer communications.

They even pulled that crap off with the Groups, with names like "Stop The Fraud" and "Shiller's List".

Nothing new under the Bay's Sun.
