More than 90 per cent used either credit cards or direct money transfer services to pay for their purchases

Free eBay auction listings: The day before yesterday, 50; yesterday, 1,000; today, 5,000; tomorrow, 1,000,000?

This surely can't be to attract all those low-class, smelly, "flea market" people? More likely it’s the sweet smell of death emanating from the utter desperation of the headless turkeys that are running around in circles in the eBay executive suite ... or maybe its just a raccoon that has crawled under the eBafia building and died ...

And, when devout eBay cheerleaders the likes of Chris Dawson or Sue Bailey start criticizing eBay you know there really is an extremely serious problem afoot.

It’s just been pointed out to me that Tamebay’s Sue Bailey committed suicide a couple of months ago. Please excuse my ignorance of Sue Bailey’s demise. As my IP address is barred from accessing the tamebay site I had no idea.

Edited by Admin/Mod Team

Even in the position of being eBay Radio's "European Correspondent" (seriously!) Dawson seems not to be getting any priority in eBay search, which could suggest that the state of eBay search is not by any deliberate design, but it has simply been irretrievably broken by a team of greedy, arrogant, ignorant, incompetent, manipulative, narcissistic, sociopathic, criminal facilitators …

eBay offers free auction listings: The day before yesterday, 50; yesterday, 1,000; today, 5,000; tomorrow, 1,000,000?

eBay is obviously getting desperate. Indications are that sales may have tanked, literally, “across the board”, and the major part of their income comes from FVFs and PreyPal, not from listing fees. Therefore, eBay is not after listings, they are desperately after sales on which they take ~9% (plus PreyPal ~3%). The chief headless turkey’s Bain & Co apprenticeship taught him the simple premise that you can’t make sales if you don’t have the listings to sell, and so “let there be listings” …

I suggest free listings for all across the board will be their next move, which won’t fix the problem because, regretfully, it literally is “too little, too late”: it will be no mean feat for anyone to raise such a large, old, rusted, sunken vessel from the bottom of the ocean. Regardless, it has been clear to many all along that this imbecile Donahoe has always been out of his depth. What a shame it is that the eBay BoD has never had the sense to recognise same.

“Visa launches PayPal competitor V.me with developer community to back it up”

Goodnight clunky PreyPal, your days, outside of whatever will ultimately be left of the Donahoe-devastated eBay Marketplace, are numbered …

Phiilip, constructive criticism is a healthy part of a society - but please take care you don't post non-constructive and repetitive criticism here. It doesn't help any of us.

Thank you.

Hi, Countessa,

So, personal criticisms are public now. And you think that comments such as that made by the resident imbecile, smee, are appropriate. My God, surely you aren’t allowing this fool to moderate the forum comments?

Could I suggest that you again read my comment about Sue Bailey; there was nothing offensive about it, except possibly to a cretin such as smee who clearly has difficulty understanding English sentences containing more that two or three words.

The fact is Bailey committed suicide; the fact is she and Chris Dawson were/are blatant eBay cheerleaders; indeed, my second post, that you edited, was an apology because I was not aware, at the time of my earlier post, that she had killed herself; now, why would an eBay seller do that? You find that question offensive? Frankly, if you prefer the idiot smee's interpretation of what I said, so be it. ...

Philip ... why on earth don't you start your own thread ? it would seem the only way to avoid future conflicts, you can post what ever you desire there and not interfere with anyone's topic... ( I may have suggested this in the past )

I happened upon your original post, Philip, before it was 'edited' and feel your comment (quoted above) makes a rather improper inference.

For the record, the two short statements removed were (1) a question about Sue Bailey which I felt was in extremely poor taste and (2) a libellous comment about Chris Dawson.

Your apology is untouched, still clearly evident and is, in fact, made to appear more sincere with the removal of this material.

In protecting this site, the moderation on that post has done you a favour, Philip - and you are doing yourself no favours by heading down such paths.

IMHO.
