I have found the options thingy in photobucket, that allows the user (me) to select to show [IMG] as a thumbnail, and when clicked on, it goes to full size...

But when I click on a thumbnail in one of my posts, it goes to my photobucket album that allows the viewer (you) to see everything !!

How do I stop this ability to see all my stuff (other than posting nothing)

Barny, have you marked your photobucket account as 'private'.

If you have you will still see your other photos because you are logged in the same as you can see your email letter here but no one else can. Does that sound right?

Hi Ewok, I can't even remember the email question, I have been back and forth to so many posts I am getting dizzy. Usually most answers have already been given by the time I get there, but I have read a lot of 'em.

Isn't it nice to post without fear. I never ponder what I am going to say here. I think that even if I did say the wrong thing I would just get a gentle nudge, not a slap hard enough to get a pink botty LOL

I think I might have it...

I have been logged in to photobucket during all this testing..

Now I have logged out, it still goes to photobucket, instead of just showing the full sized image, but at least nothing else is visible.

But it still isn't working as I have seen others doing it here...

I'm really confuddled about this

Prim,

I have seen other members post thumbnail size that you click on, and it then shows the image full size, but appears not to go to photobucket.

But when I post a thumbnail and you click on it, it then logs into photobucket and shows the full size image in my PB album.. like this

Barny that one above - when clicked goes to photobucket BUT It ONLY shows the photo blown up

Exactly Prim,

I would prefer that nothing to do with photobucket shows, even though the pic is hosted there.

I don't have that wording in my photobucket and the one I use does the same as yours, gives me the photobucket background. We might have to wait until Wheels come back online. sorry I could not help further.

If you use photobucket, you can choose to upload a clickable thumbnail pic instead of the full size pic.

Just go to Link Options at the bottom of the 4 link choices, click, and then select the thumbnail link under IMG for Bulletin Boards/Forums

clickable thumbnail

OR

you can attach a pic without going through photobucket and it will appear as a clickable image. Click on Additional Options (to the bottom left) of this message box and attach.

But from the one below, you can see that the photobucket screen shows around the pic,

But yours shows only the pic..

What have I done wrong ??

Go into photobucket > account options (on top menu near welcome)

and in Album Settings untick 'Link back to my album'

If you only want a thumbnail from photobucket, barny. Right click on the image, click "properties" then copy & paste the URL in properties.

1. Open the 1st thingumywatsit
2. Click on the gufflywob stuff
3. Paste the gufflywob stuff to the 2nd thingumywatsit
4. Click "post"

See............easy!
