WHERE HAS EBAY GONE ?????? !!! World Wide Disappearing act!!!!!

As at the time I started writing this, someone seems to have turned the lights off on eBay - all over the world from what I can tell.

I can log in, see my watch list and select an item --- but try searching or just drilling down on categories!

What has happened?

I suppose it should be no surprise. I think I've had enough eBay induced anxiety for today.

.... but I can't for the life of me figure out why I was so concerned...

I have it on good authority that the software hung up on all the string cluttering its innards.

The IT guys tried the brute force approach and just cut some of the threads binding some of the modules to each other, that's when things started to vanish.

The string infection mutates at an exponential rate, it is thought that infection started in cuckoo birds on twitter.

The only known cure for the String Virus is deactivated Kraken hemoglobin spread on each and every server connected to the World Wide Web.
