Welcome to the Oz Round Table
« on: April 16, 2009, 04:03:54 PM »
Welcome to the OZ Round Table!

We hope you enjoy using this forum. Feel free to do all of the following:

  • ask for eBay help - advice, perspectives, similar experience, questions on eBay policies and how they affect you, problems with a buyer or a seller, etc. Many eBay problems or issues have been addressed in the FAQ forum, so many times the reply will refer to the read-only information there. Don't let that stop you posting - every situation is different and you'll find many people here to give you replies with perhaps a different perspective;
  • discuss eBay issues - this forum was created to enable free discussions about anything to do with eBay (particularly about issues for Australian eBay members;
  • talk about other things - this is above all a community of real people, not cut-and-paste bots; and
  • have a bit of fun - Humour is not a ThoughtCrime!

We ask that you refrain from rudeness, being actionably naughty, or being objectionably disruptive. Giving purposely or consistently wrong information will also get you sent to the Naughty Corner.

The forum guidelines are designed to help everyone who is part of this community feel comfortable, safe and able to post in a friendly and informative environment.

Thank you!

Welcome, Mtnlane - the forum layout seems to be quite intuitive, and I hope the look is relaxing and easy to use. (There's nothing worse than a forum that gives you a headache.)

It certainly is much easier on the eyes and I am sure I will soon feel quite at home here.  Not sure I have the ebay experience to answer any or many questions - but I am here to offer my support nonetheless.  My financial circumstances do not permit me to contribute any funds at the moment, however should things change in the future, I would be more than willing to make a contribution :-)

G'day everyone. I saw the notification in the other thread & signed up.

Very excellent, will we be able to put pictures (Belzeebub etc) in or are we limited by whatever it's called?

Good stuff all round & you organisers are to be congratulated, well done people.

Hi everyone, This is a little exciting. A little privacy - good-oh.

We have some great choices with our post styles, even marquee (karen would hate that LOL)

You're able to add a signature, a picture (avatar), etc., etc., by editing your profile.

You should be able to include images here without a problem.

Primary, you are endowed with green stars, and therefore may demand that others give you their tribute.

Hawk, as soon as we've got all of this ready - settings, information, etc. - we can spread the word. Let's make certain everything is working smoothly first.

Gr8, this is thanks to everyone here - I have really done nothing. Many thanks to Numb for showing us how easy the SMF software is to use.

Welcome!

Well, how about that, I put a picture in first attempt.

I'm not sure what the bottom list of things (URL,  AIM etc) mean, yet but I'll learn.

Even when I was working I struggled with computers. If I needed to use my work system for something other than a typewriter I would ask on of my subordinates to set it up for me, Excel etc.

I guess I've always been a street wise bloke but not very electronic savvy.

If you have your own website and would like to link to it in your profile, you can add the web address in the URL field.

AIM = AOL Instant Messaging. (I don't have it. Some have other Instant Messaging IDs.)

Remember only to add information that you will be happy to share with every person registering here. If you prefer to keep any of your contact information undisclosed, there's no need to include it.

This is the real one, Beefy. The other was set up by Numb to let us play with the software and forum design a bit, and he allowed me to peek into the admin side by appointing me as a fellow admin there.

The other was just our... dare I say it? our PLAYGROUND, our SANDBOX...

If you hover your mouse over the ip thingy it becomes a question mark, click on it and it will give you an official explanation

Guests are usually members in the process of signing in.  They could also be searchbots from Google, Yahoo, etc.

I am going to keep posting on the UK board because I like it there and because I don't want st bla bla thinking he/she drove us off there also.
