We come into this world either screaming our head off or getting our bottom smacked so that we start screaming our head off.
Hopefully at some point life becomes worth it.
For those unique, wonderful, never-to-be-repeated individuals who feel so much darkness in their lives that they cannot appreciate its worth, there is nothing more filled with grief than to see them give up the struggle to stay living...
... because we are all unique; all wonderful; none of us will ever be experienced in this universe again once we pass from it.
I don't know how best to express it; I want somehow to let those people who have not learned to forgive themselves, love themselves, learn from the past, reach out with appreciation for other people and open themselves to the appreciation of others... I want somehow to let them know they are part of the meaning of life, and that when they are hurt, the world is hurt, and that when they overcome anger, grief, fear, humiliation, all of that - when they overcome those things, there is a present and a future of meaning, purpose and beauty for them.
It seems self-evident that most of us have this wish. And I suppose this is why we all feel so affected by the death of someone whom we do not personally know.
