We all know that Google is in bed with the government… I suppose it’s nice that CEO Eric Schmidt is at least open about it.

In a recent interview with CNBC, Schmidt effectively admits that Google archives everything about a user– web searches (google), email and contact lists (gmail), online office documents (google docs), photographs (picasa), text and voice messages (google voice), and even a user’s current location (google maps).

The depth of this information is a bureaucrat’s fantasy, and as Schmidt indicates, Google is obliged to hand it over.

We're gonna have to trust Tello to tell us the day he receives each one, so make sure you sign it with your posting name..... and then we'll make allowance for time differences......Tello, keep the envelopes, they'll have a date stamp on them....

It will be interesting to see if it takes longer to get to Montello if you're on the east coast or the west or that little island called Tassie...hehehehe.....

So far, Brumby and I are in.....who else will join the Chrissy Card Race to Nevada?????.

Montello, Nevada and Ron Tello

When I went to the Sun Tunnels a few weeks ago with my class, we stopped in Montello, Nevada afterward. We somehow ended up in Ron Tello's pawn shop, which is home to Nevada's largest drum set. I had written about my experience before, http://www.theslcblog.com/2009/11/sun-tunnels.html* but I wanted to share this photo with you, which was taken by Terry's husband, Brooke.

From left: weird local guy, me, Ron Tello, Ben, Terry, Joe, Ross, and Dave. I don't know how I managed to get sandwiched between the two locals (the man on the left held me in a creepy way), but it's a great photo, nonetheless. We took it after we jammed out in Ron's pawn shop and just before we headed to the bar for drinks.

That evil little duck Duffy made up a story and told Mrs Dodgers that Fluffy and I spent the night together in the secret room at Tommys pad and she told her that Fluffy had laid some eggs and were beginning to hatch into Smucklings .... Mrs D sent the heavies after me
