The answer to the first question is: "South Africa" (an easy one for Google)
My answer to the second question is: "Maybe a relative of a Nigerian government officer?"
My answer to the third question is: "I could guess"
... or I might be wrong.
Aside from the South Africa origin - which was obvious - I was wrong.
A few days later, I received the call a second time and let it ring out - but yesterday it called again, so I answered it out of curiosity......
It turns out that it was a call I had been expecting - but NOT from South Africa!!
I had been given the task of returning a voucher for a paintball deal within the allowed time and organising the refund. This was the phone call to advise approval of the refund and to finalise the matter.
The voucher was returned to a post office box in a suburb of Newcastle in NSW, so I was expecting a call from somewhere within Australia. However, it seems refunds are handled by the head office, which is located - guess where - in South Africa!
The global community seems to be getting smaller every day.
