To All NSW Customers

In a shock announcement an hour ago the NSW Govt has stated that the popular solar bonus scheme will be closed to all customers who haven't purchased their systems by midnight tonight.

We recommend all our NSW customers who haven't yet paid a deposit to their selected installer to act immediately, and before midnight tonight, if they wish to secure their entitlement to the generous 60c gross tariff. Otherwise the scheme will reduced to 20c tariff.

The Govt press release is as follows: https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=http://www.premier.nsw.gov.au/sites/default/files/101027-Solar-Bonus-Scheme.pdf         ******Link Has since been withdrawn!

Installers are working up to midnight tonight to process your orders. Most installers are saying they will refund deposits if for any reason you are unsuccessful in your application for the 60c tariff.

What to do? Use our online follow through system to pay your deposit

1. Go to your Solar Choice Quote Comparison, or automatically generate a fresh one simply by signing up again on our website.

2. Select your installer by clicking the relevant "Pay Deposit" button.

3. Accept the terms and nominate "Electronic Funds Transfer" for deposit payment. Do not select credit card or cheque, as your order will take too long to process.

4. You will then automatically be given an email with the Account name, BSB and Account number for the installer you've selected.

5. Follow the email's instructions to pay your deposit asap. Keep a record of your payment receipt and transaction number.

6. You then have 21 days from midnight tonight to lodge your application to be connected with a gross meter.

Continue to follow our blog today for further updates. See: http://www.solarchoice.net.au/blog/shock-news-nsw-solar-bonus-scheme-closes-to-applications-midnight-tonight.html

Regards,

The Solar Choice Team

Mrs NSW Labour Premier  is having a nice old cat fight with the Ranga at the moment

That Gilllard woman is such a stuck up , rude , nasty ,arguementative ,  self centred piece of work......if she was in a cage you wouldnt throw peanuts at it ....... but that Kenneally woman or whatever her name is seemed to  present herself in a sensible, professional  and lady like manner , I havent seen or heard her before .... from those of you whom are in NSW , whats she like overall ?

smee.... To [put Kurn-ell-y in a few words..... hmm... well,

indecisive, unreliable can't keep her word... (Ubbie - she reneged on the deal with the Shooters Party regarding their marine agreement a couple of days ago) and seriously lacking in the integrity department. Could be Ms Gillard's love child!

MEDIA RELEASE 26 October 2010
SHOOTERS AND FISHERS PARTY DECLARES WAR ON
NSW LABOR PARTY

Tired of being double-crossed by the NSW Government, Shooters and Fishers Party MLC Robert Brown today says he has had "enough":
"At a meeting today, the Premier confirmed our growing suspicion that the Government would renege on its promise, to support our Marine Parks (Moratorium) Bill. This is after supporting the Bill in their reply in the Upper House debate."
"We had been pre-warned by the Greens' hubris over the Bill's 'guaranteed failure', so we weren't surprised at the Premier's back-flip".
"Under Premier Rees, we had negotiated Volunteer Conservation Hunting in nearly sixty remote National Parks. When Premier Rees double-crossed us on that undertaking, on the eve of his own political assassination, the new Premier Kristina Keneally agreed to support a Moratorium on new Marine Parks. That was an undertaking she now seems not to recall", Mr. Brown said.
"A convenient loss of memory, given that The Government gave in-principal support to my Bill, during the debate on 24th June in the Upper House "
Party Chairman, and fellow Shooters and Fishers Party MLC, Robert Borsak simply says, "Bring it (the election) on".
"If it's a fight they want, we'll see them in key marginal Labor seats."
"That's ironic, given that their constant welching on deals, is simply because the Labor Party is running scared on Green preferences in those same marginal Lower House seats".
"We will now be forced to play that game too... and Labor will be the loser."
"We will run... and we'll ask our constituents to "put Labor last".
Mr. Brown said he was "deeply disappointed" at the litany of treachery exhibited by the Labor Party over the last term of Parliament.
"The Shooters and Fishers Party made our position clear right from the start".

PAGE 2 MEDIA RELEASE FROM SHOOTERS AND FISHERS PARTY 26/10/10
"We would not interfere with the Government's ability to govern, and allow the electorate to judge them at elections. That covenant was dependent on the Government not legislating or regulating further against hunters, shooters and fishers in NSW."
"However, the Labor Party's lily-livered pandering to the extreme Greens has led them to deliberately disadvantage our constituents....their obsession with the River Red Gums, and these Marine Parks, is evidence of that."
"So now we'll just have to mobilise hunters and fishers throughout the State to send them a message, just like we did with the Unsworth Government in 1988."
"Like my colleague, Robert Borsak, I say ........"bring it on" !

She reneged eh, struth what a piece of work. Bring back the stocks as well as the lash.

Maybe they had it right in Salem & witches still exist, perhaps a burning at the stake would be apt.

Word is, is that all the Solar companies are doing their best to get as much paperwork through so people don't miss out.

It's not set in stone though...apparently it has been challenged and they may find a bit of grace time and perhaps the lowered limit set to something that is a good option.

It has been known for a short while that the Government had reached their MegaWatt limit in NSW and that they could pull the plug at any time.

And typical of the Government....they announce it suddenly and have everyone scrambling at the last moment.

Reminds me of when they cut the $8000 Gov Rebate back in June last year....ending it on the 9th of June rather than the 30th as had been advertised.....with only a few hours notice!

I bet they also decline many applications as they did last year too.....'because 'their' date stamps showed they didn't receive the documents on time.  Inside news said that they received so many thousands of applications that arrived after the 9th....they couldn't date stamp them in any reasonable time...and not many got through after appeals.

This suited the Government....as they had gone way over their budget.

Otherwise the scheme will reduced to 20c tariff.

That's about the going rate per KWH with most suppliers. So. basically, output will offset input 1:1

There was a segment on TV last night about the power "crisis" and just near the end, a guy they we talking to said something like people who are buying solar panels and wasting their money because they will never save anything by installing them but, that was the end and no one asked him what he meant by the comment.

I will see if I can find it.
