Congratulations, Col. You've got the hands-on knowledge of experience, and that is worth a great deal.

I'm sure you'll make a success of it. I would imagine part of being a successful teacher in this respect is imparting the knowledge of how to deal with some of the problems that take most sellers by surprise... and not to take malicious feedback seriously (there will always be nasty people who post undeserved feedback, no matter how good a seller one is), and to give excellent service to buyers... and how to handle disputes in the best way...

I haven't started an individual thread "over there" but did mention it in the reunion thread.
I had a bit of a look but couldn't see the new "educator" logo on "their" page.

When do I sack the admin and bots over there, Yibida? As soon as I achieve full take over they'll be toast! :warrior:

Some won't be able to sign the legal agreement, because...

If you elect to utilise an external website to promote yourself as a Certified eBay Educator
trained by eBay, you agree that these websites will be for the sole purpose of describing
educational events and information about such events, and you are strictly prohibited from
advertising goods for sale either on eBay or otherwise.

8.3 You may only use the following Student Manuals for the purposes of providing the Course to
the Students:
(a) How to Use eBay.com.au by Todd Alexander;
(b) How to Use PayPal by Todd Alexander;
(c) The Official eBay Bible by Jim Griffith;
(d) eBay for Dummies by Marsha Collier; and
(e) The Perfect Store: Inside eBay by Adam Cohen.

13.3 You will retain all Intellectual Property Rights in any Materials you use to provide the Courses
which you solely own as at the date of this Agreement.

13.4 In respect of the Materials referred to in clause 13.3, upon eBay’s written request you will
grant eBay a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, irrevocable licence to use the Intellectual
Property Rights in those Materials which licence may be freely assigned by eBay within the
eBay Group.

13.5 If you utilise a third party’s Intellectual Property Rights in providing the Materials you must
procure that the third party provides to eBay a licence to use those rights on terms which
enable eBay to use those rights.

Mainly because they use stolen and non-approved material in the current courses, and definitely do NOT have the licence to use the materials or to give ebay a licence for them.

I also wonder about the "PowerU" situation. I thought ebay effectively ended that?
Can an "ebay educator" still show the PowerU certificate and promote oneself using it?

Countessa, I'm guessing Col is mourning the death of Farrah Fawcett, the pin-up girl of most boys through the 70s and 80s. I was reading an article that said the iconic poster of her in the red bathers sold 12 million copies!

Ah. I have seen some of the old Charlie's Angels series - it struck me how much better the series was than the recent-ish films. Farrah Fawcett was certainly a beautiful woman. I also thought she was a much better actress than most people gave her credit for being. Have you seen the film "Extremities"? The role in that must have been extremely challenging...

She faced a terrible battle; I am glad that she had people who loved here there while she faced that final doorway...
