Kevin Rudd was auctioned on eBay to raise money for charity as part of the press gallery's 10th annual Midwinter Ball held last week.

The winner and three friends can choose to hobnob with the PM at either the Lodge in Canberra or Kirribilli House in Sydney.

The winning bids for the other pollies up for auction:

Julia Gillard $15,203.47
Malcolm Turnbull $11,200.00

I can think of more fascinating people with whom to dine. I'm sure they're lovely people in their own way, but I wouldn't be paying to dine with any of them.

Hmmm.... Kevin, Julia and Malcolm....

Seems to be rather overpriced for dinners with a Chinese tour guide, a real-life Kath (Ref: Kath & Kim) and an email specialist wanna-be.

It would have been interesting to have a feed with Attila the Hun & Gengis Khan, both great military tacticians albeit a bit over the top with the cruelty thing.
