Boy, oh boy....

Of course Riff cares abut Lion, we all do Poddy..he is entitled to his opinion..why cant he have it without either you or Cuepie getting stuck into him??? if you didn't want him back, why was he?

How do you know that Lion's posts weren't in violation? I copped a few slaps that night and are still trickling though..they can be appealed though.

Babs has had two holidays in concession for bagging this forum, is that not fair?

I'm so tired of this..

Riff would you like to take this difference of opinion to the fountain or somewhere else?

On another occasion you we very concerned that it was in the public eye and now you seem to be at odds with what you were concerned about on that occasion.

Why take it somewhere else Poddy? If you're concerned about something you have to say, I'm sure the people here will let you know if they don't like it.

But......up to you, I don't care either way.

I buy ...not much now during the last year.. and read some of the eBay forum threads. Play around a bit on some threads. When I last looked I was still a member.

I neither like nor dislike eBay. It is one of the venues I use. I do like individual members and respect their different opinions.

There is nothing equal or fair with the eBay forum - there will never be !!

There is definitly no need for us to sqabble about it - we must just accept it - and modify our "behaviour" [Tactics] accordingly.

They have lowly paid contract moderators in faraway lands whose only purpose in life IS simplly number crunching reports - if they get behind with their "moderating" numbers  they get to find a new job - its that simple.

Now that the Canadians are gone - it will only get worse.

A visit to even our "better" Aussie call centres will soon confirm this.
Even a call to our beloved Telstra will give you the message quickly.

These "eBay moderators" have no time to check the inuendo - or consult their latest copy of the Strine Idiom Dictionary.- or even thier Oxford or Websters - their job is to act ..and act quickly !!

Then onto the next.

Obviously if a number of Aussie eBay posters have reported the SAME POSTS - Those posts must be naughty, obscene, insulting, confrontational ......... or break some eBay rule.edict, direction or understanding.

So there is no time for the why and wherefor analysis - its a quick pull it !!

......and let somebody else sort out unfair from justified.

The d & b Brigade worked this out way back - and still use it successfully ..

So MANY reports of the same posts MUST be more effective than one  ;D

It is no use agueing the rights or wrongs of the moderators on the eBay boards.

We all KNOW that Rosies eBay holiday was unjust .
But it was well orchestrated by the gang - and that is the reason it happened.

At least at present and recently there has been a process of appeal against strikes .

Lets be more careful out there RTers ....and learn from them  :potstir:

Suit your self Riff, but don't let it be said that you were not given the opportunity.

I was more concerned about saving you from embarrassment.

Barny, if you follow this thread from the top, it's blatantly obvious that poddy was effectively gagged last night.

Absolutely......... shutdown.

Now let us address the above statement.

Why would you assume that because I did not respond any further to you that I had been, as you put it ‘gagged, Absolutely......... shutdown.’

Here is what I said in post #8 of that thread

Riff,

I notice that you have neatly side stepped answering my question, so I will put it to you again and just leave it at that.

Riff I have to wonder what mileage you hope to gain by your implying that I was ‘gagged’ and that that practice is carried out here.

And now on this thread you have again made the insinuation of 'gagging'

At least on eBay Poddy, you don't have Big Sister telling you what you can and can't post.

Can you tell me who you are referring to as 'Big Sister' and why?

Gov, Centuries,

I made that invitation but it was declined.

I again extend that invitation to go to a more private venue

Canning ebay and paypal on a forum set up to assist ebayers, may look a bit negative to the outside, dont you think?

but if that's what this is about then each to their own.

My intention was at humor not personal to anyone..... again sorry for being the instigator of the argument's tonight.... I take full responsibility for my action's...

Suit your self Riff, but don't let it be said that you were not given the opportunity. Heavens above, I would never suggest that.

I was more concerned about saving you from embarrassment. I have nothing to be embarrassed about

If you want a personal disagreement, book a session in the Argument Clinic.

Quote
Mr Vibrating: Look, if I argue with you, I must take up a contrary position.

Man: Yes, but that's not just saying 'No it isn't.'

Mr Vibrating: Yes it is!

Man: No it isn't!

Man: Argument is an intellectual process. Contradiction is just the automatic gainsaying of any statement the other person makes.

(short pause)

Mr Vibrating: No it isn't.

Man: It is.

Mr Vibrating: Not at all.

Man: Now look.

Mr Vibrating: (Rings bell) Good Morning.

Man: What?

Mr Vibrating: That's it. Good morning.

Man: I was just getting interested.

Mr Vibrating: Sorry, the five minutes is up.

Man: That was never five minutes!

Mr Vibrating: I'm afraid it was.

Man: It wasn't.

(Pause)

Mr Vibrating: I'm sorry, but I'm not allowed to argue anymore.

Man: What?!

Mr Vibrating: If you want me to go on arguing, you'll have to pay for another five minutes.

Man: Yes, but that was never five minutes, just now. Oh come on!

Mr Vibrating: (Hums)

Man: Look, this is ridiculous.

Mr Vibrating: I'm sorry, but I'm not allowed to argue unless you've paid!

Man: Oh, all right.

(pays money)

Mr Vibrating: Thank you. (short pause)

Man: Well?

Mr Vibrating: Well what?

Man: That wasn't really five minutes, just now.

Mr Vibrating: I told you, I'm not allowed to argue unless you've paid.

Man: I just paid!

Mr Vibrating: No you didn't.

Man: I DID!

Mr Vibrating: No you didn't.

Man: Look, I don't want to argue about that.

Mr Vibrating: Well, you didn't pay.

Man: Aha. If I didn't pay, why are you arguing? I Got you!

Mr Vibrating: No you haven't.

Man: Yes I have. If you're arguing, I must have paid.

Mr Vibrating: Not necessarily. I could be arguing in my spare time.

... and so on.

But as far as I can make out, the topic here is unfair sanctioning by eBay moderators. Take a "for" or "against" position on that in relation to Lady Rose's week-long sanctioning. As I didn't see the posts which caused the sanctioning, perhaps someone could quote them here...?
"No man is an Iland, intire of it selfe; every man is ...a part of the maine; ...any mans death diminishes me, because I am involved in Mankinde"

My last post on this matter just so that you wont think that a gag has been applied.

I have nothing to be embarrassed about
I reserve the right to remind you of that statement at some time in the future.

Because you ask lots of questions Poddy, that you think you know the answer to.
Yes I do. Perhaps that is the reason that you sidestep giving answers to my questions

I'm fond of the truth
Again I reserve the right to remind you for that

Really, you don't know?
No, how about enlightening me.

Nobody ever stops you saying what you think?
No one ever has and no one ever will

There's no feud going on between you and another person in authority on this forum?
No, and by that question you are hoping to insinuate that there is.

I reserve the right to remind you of that statement at some time in the future. Gee...thanks for letting me know

Because you ask lots of questions Poddy, that you think you know the answer to.
Yes I do. Perhaps that is the reason that you sidestep giving answers to my questions I owe you zero answers

I'm fond of the truth
Again I reserve the right to remind you for that No problem

Really, you don't know?
No, how about enlightening me. Yes you do

Nobody ever stops you saying what you think?
No one ever has and no one ever will In relation to this forum, that is not true

There's no feud going on between you and another person in authority on this forum?
No, and by that question you are hoping to insinuate that there is. Are you so desperate to hold on to your position here that you deny it?
