Morning all.
I copped a slap sometime after 2.00am this morning for posting in support of Rosie.

My post was;

"Rosie.  Don't feel sick or upset. You aren't
the one needing psychiatric help. The person who reported
your posts can't handle the truth."

I guess Babs can't handle the truth.

ubbrd,

That must have been a late slap.....

"Rosie.  Don't feel sick or upset. You aren't
the one needing psychiatric help. The person who reported
your posts can't handle the truth."

Possibly - although I suspect that they simply gain some sort of pleasure in kicking someone when they are down. Lion's difficulties have been known for a while now - makes the slaps that she copped intentionally malicious.

Your comments were not inappropriate IMO.

I was  following that thread last night.. it got nastier as the night wore on.. then some people complained of numerous slaps... as one poster wrote "I see that the same old problem that haunted the old RT is still stirring strife and turmoil *sigh*"......

The best thing about this site is we can get rid of the slime balls permanently if they cause trouble here..
Over there there is no such recourse.....

At least here we can contact Admin anytime Day or Night to discuss anything were not happy with.... and assumed Innocent till proven guilty...

Over there you are guilty full stop !.... then have to argue your case with brainless robots !!

And they say it's not fair over Here ?.........PLEASE gimi a break !...

Good to see you Yib!

Does tend to make you wonder whether Ebay actually cares a damn about what's going on. At least, while the argument continues - genuine problems with posters where Eb may have a responsibility are simply overlooked? Maybe a complimenting situation to the new forum outlay?

The saddest thing - as the countess commented on earlier - there are a lot of genuinely nice people over there - who, for reasons of their own are not registered here. It's nice to touch base with them from time to time.

Me thinks that dear ole Tello wouldn't last over there long..... and he would be missed from here!

Work time for me. You have a good one!

I was watching that unfold last night. Appalling!

The words 'vicious' and 'rabid' cannot fully describe  many of the  comments made.

How does a 12 month eBali holiday from boards for its username and IP sound? That way you get a 5 for 1 deal, but only 2 actual people of course.

Tin hats in hi demand on ebay again.

cant see how they can even be so stupid to write such rubish,

they write it as they really believe it.

No body can really be that stupid, can they?

Actually Hawk,  they write it as they want others to believe it.....in the real world, it's known as 'Malicious Gossip'.  It's the same stuff being churned out since May....talk about a broken record......enough sour grapes over there to make a barrel full of vinegar.  You'd think they could come up with something more creative.  Though I see they are advancing to personal attacks now, so I guess that's a graduation of sorts.

Oh well...at least it's entertaining.....and it gets more colourful by the minute....LMAO.  Thank your lucky stars you're not married to any of them.

As I don't read the eBay AU threads, I suppose I am saved from feeling puzzled about the motivations of those who are tin-hatting.

It's pretty easy :)

One of them is peed off at being removed from here.

A few others are just upset the way wiping the eBay Rt turned out - plus they can't rule the sandbox here or on eBay, so poo poo this site.

Even more are just multiple accounts of the above people. Makes it look like a crowd when it's only 5 people.

Why they make a point of membership going up/down around here is strange - it's a new site - some will try it - many will like it, a few won't like it and just stop coming or delete their account and a few just throw a hissy fit when their view of the world is shown to be different to the general population in here.

Anyone know how the actual ebay help boards are going now.

They must be totally dead for all those posters to have so much time on their hands.

I would look myself but looking at how its turned out makes me sad when I think all those members that no longer get help because the boards have become so fragmented.

For the benefit of Countessa, this is the comment that raised eyebrows:

No resignations over there, I just checked. In fact there has been an increase in membership.

Maybe not so much the comment as the back-peddling afterwards.

Why does everyone [ the ebay forum specifically ] ...keep referring to the members list ?.... it was on view in the early days but was then removed... as far as I know only admin and possibly moderators have access to it....  this subject is beginning to sound like Area 51 !....
  is it there?...no it's not...is it there?...no it's not...is it there?...no it's not...is it there?...

Riff Raff. #119.

I made that comment on the RT Reunion thread, as you know.

When it was pointed out to me that there had been several resignations, I acknowledged that fact. That is not back peddling it is showing guts & being honest.
If you are referring to me as the one who back peddled I regard that as an insult.

I like many others here do not like the lies and innuendo that one or two disgruntled RT Reunion members are posting on that thread.
I know what is fact & what is fiction & I'm prepared to defend the OZ Round Table.

I have nothing against the Ebay forums & post on there from time to time. When I post here I do not tell lies about the Ebay forums or any of their members and I would not condone that behaviour by any of the OZ Round Table members.

Hi Riff... really at the end of the day I can't see why it matter's?.... as I said on the Rt reunion thread... all that was required for me to join as with anyone else who wanted to join was a user name and password...I can't for the life of me work out why this is so evil?......

I've almost given up visiting the eBay boards. Just drop in every now and then. Too much personal mud slinging for my liking. A shame really, because it means I tend to visit the eBay site less and less now and my buying has dropped from about 3 items a week to about 3 items a month (over both IDs). I don't spend as much time browsing and some things I used to buy just aren't available any more on eBay or I'm able to buy them cheaper elsewhere.

The father of a friend of a friend (needing a lot of care; I know there's some sort of medical problem there) wears his bathrobe all day - unless his daughter sternly demands that he get dressed. (As she works all day, it's a bit difficult... She phones home during the day and says in stentorian tones: "Are you dressed, dad?"

There have apparently been a few raised eyebrows over that question... Apparently her supervisor misunderstood and thought her father was running around in the altogether all day.

(I'd have thought it was a bit chilly for that sort of behaviour, even if one were so inclined...)

A bloke has to have a pretty good set of pegs to get away with wearing a shorty bathrobe.
