Is John Bonham right when he said Karen Carpenter wouldn't last ten minutes drumming with Led Zeppelin?

That was JB's response to Karen Carpenter being named Drummer of the Year according to Playboy Magazine.

Now, since Robert Plant is a vocalist who doesn't contribute a lot instrumentally, that pretty much makes Led Zep a three piece band. Missing that fourth instrument requires all three to do a little more musicianship wise to make fills. While I have little doubt that KC could bang out 4/4's with Led Zep all night long, I do doubt that she could just come in and replicate JB’s drumming.

I remember seeing the Carpenters concert on a late night TV show named ‘In Concert’ many years ago. And I remember watching her drum many times on ‘The Carpenter's’ variety show on TV. She was an adequate drummer and timekeeper, and that's enough. What she wasn't is a very technical drummer. No paradiddles, no triplets, no syncopation. None of those things that form a distinction between an adequate drummer and a great drummer like John Bonham.

In conclusion I'll say the same thing I've said a hundred times about a hundred different musicians. Karen Carpenter made millions of dollars playing the drums. No doubt she was doing something right.

Women across America are forming Facebook groups to share and discuss how their own bodies are reacting to these injections. In a matter of days, these groups mushroomed into thousands of women posting highly personal stories of their own body's reactions.

However, Big Tech can't handle someone sharing their personal reactions after these injections! Even when these FB groups use special code words to describe the vaccine such as "Maxine" or the "hokey pokey" ... they still got shut down—as recently as yesterday. The push now for a vaccine passport is much broader than COVID. I can tell you that this agenda has been in the works long before COVID. Urge our governors and legislators to take the lead on keeping COVID vaccines the free choice of those who may receive them.

Dr. Lindsay went on to say, "I have yet to see a single immunological study which disproves this [problem with infertility]. Despite the fact that it would literally take the manufacturers a single day to do these syncytin studies to ascertain this [once they had serum from vaccinated individuals], it's been over a year since the assertions were first made."

My team is watching these concerns play out in real lives. More than 150 reported miscarriages in America have been reported following one of these COVID shots, and that number is likely less than 1% (according to research by Harvard and the CDC).

507 reports of unusual breast pain, swelling or changes, including 22 reports of breast cancer.

Dr. Lindsay warned the CDC that "we could potentially sterilize an entire generation." This warning comes from a vaccine expert and is shared by many other experts. And as I will share in a later email, Pfizer has known of this concern for some time. Yet the CDC is now recommending pregnant women get the shots.

We are helping a pregnant mother who is being forced to get the shot to finish her nursing classes despite these serious concerns. This underscores why no one should be forced.

When we first began messaging against vaccine passports, no state had taken action. Now there are 45 bills in 21 states. This week Florida passed legislation banning vaccine passports by government and private business.

Best Everyday Objects for “Street Self-Defense”

It could be an umbrella, a pen or even a rock…

There are plenty of common items you usually carry with you or that you can find anywhere.

And these very simple objects can become effective weapons for self defense.

You can easily counter a surprise assault with any of them.

It can be as simple as hitting the attacker's face at the right time with any of them. That’s a perfect distraction to help you escape or even to completely stop an attack.

Let's look at a few of these everyday objects you can use...

1. Pen
Although it looks really innocent, in the right hands, a pen can be used very effectively in defense. In fact, there is a weapon of Japanese origin that’s used in a similar way, the Kubotan.

A stainless steel pen, for example, can be used primarily to stab or puncture an attacker. You should hold it firmly in your hand and always try to target the most vulnerable parts of the body, especially the soft parts such as the eyes or throat.

2. Bottle of Water
Aside from helping you stay hydrated, an aluminum or even plastic bottle can help you inflict serious trauma on an attacker.

It’s a good idea that the bottle contains some liquid, since in this way it gets more weight and therefore the force of the impact will be greater.

You can use it in a similar way to the pen, trying to hit the softer parts of the aggressor's body. Although there are some models that are made of a plastic that can be easily broken and when that happens, the bottle gets sharp edges, as if it were a knife.

3. Flashlight
Flashlights are very useful in situations where an improvised strike is required to distract the attacker.
There are some special flashlights that can emit flashing or high-intensity lights that can disorient and even temporarily blind anyone.
Many of these flashlights are made of very strong materials, such as stainless steel or very dense plastics, so the blows with them can be very powerful.

4. Umbrella
Using an umbrella for defense is almost the same as using a stick you find on the street.
But there is a difference: rather than hitting like a baseball bat, you should use it to stick or poke.

5. Rock
You can get a stone almost anywhere. You can use it both to throw it towards an aggressor, as well as to hit him directly on the body.
Take into account that there are different types of rocks:

Some that have tips that can be used to stab.
Others are more "rounded" and heavier and are appropriate for hitting.
Others go to medium term and you can throw them directly at the head of the aggressor.
While others have a sharp edge that you can use to cut.

The defense method you use will then depend on the type of rock you have at your disposal.
Bonus tip: Be careful if you plan to throw stones at your attacker, as he can also do the same.

6. Chair
Chairs are ideal for use as shields to keep an aggressor at a distance.

The chair should be directed against the attack to stop or deflect it, and it’s especially useful for stopping attacks with knives or sticks.

A counterattack with a chair should suit the situation: you can execute it with the same chair with a direct downward blow to the head, or by kicking underneath it, for example.

So, a few quick tips to remember when you use any object:

Always brandish the weapon aggressively to frighten your aggressor. You could avoid the confrontation.
Learn to use several objects, do not stick with just one.
Use the element of surprise whenever possible. Appears to be harmless, this will make the aggressor neglect his defense.
Always be cautious, and if you fear a surprise attack in a certain place, try to equip yourself in advance with the appropriate items.

A Nashville police officer was shot in the arm on Tuesday while responding to what was later determined to be a “setup call.”

Police said the 22-year-old suspect, Salman Mohamed, called 911 to report an active shooter in an attempt to lure officers to the scene of his south Nashville home, according to WZTV-TV.
