Missing registered mail

I posted a coin by registered mail on 7-Sep to a buyer staying in Mt Pleasant, Western Australia 6153. The mail left Malaysia on 9-Sep.

Received a message today saying he has not received the coin. Australia Post will not allow me to inquire the status. They insisted only the recipient can inquire. Hmm.

Low , it wasnt sent via Aust Post was it ?

I am assuming that it wasnt , and if that is correct you will need to check with the postal service that YOU registered it with , they will follow it up with Aust Post if it diassapeared during the part of the trip that was on Aussie soil and then inform you

Smee, I wanted an instant or almost instant way to tell if the parcel has actually arrived Australia. It will take months if I raise official inquiry via my PO.

Anyway that buyer said he has received the coin. Reason - "put it in a place that i do not normally put my coins"

Yes Smee.

I posted 5 parcels on the same day and the other 4 has arrived on or about 15-sep. This buyer only notified me of missing parcel after more than 3 weeks it has left Malaysia.
