Measurements - Interpretation required....

I asked a seller of an eBay item for some measurements - and these are the figures they gave:

1ft 24cm
2ft 27cm
3ft 15cm
now im not the best at reading the tape measure but im pretty sure i have it right

I've had a look at a dual scale tape measure and can't see any obvious interpretation.  I'm thinking I just convert the feet and add the two parts together - but I was wondering if anyone else had some thoughts?

I am wondering if they've accidentally said "cm" when they mean "inches".

If I'd received a reply like theirs, I think I'd be sending another one asking for clarification à la...

I have to admit I'm a tad confused! You've given me what looks like a mixture of feet and centimetres (imperial mixed with metric), so I'm not quite sure what these figures actually mean.

Could you possibly give me the measurements in metric? (Metres, centimetres, millimetres.) Or if it would be easier to give me the measurements in imperial (feet, inches), that's fine too.
