For all those who are members of the Astronomical Society of Australia, you'll already be aware of this almost-unique forthcoming phenomenon.
At around 6.23 p.m. today, background radiation from an invisible star about 3000 lightyears from Earth, which has been filtered by the quasi-protoplasmic interstellar gas cloud known as f-Aphrodite I, will hit the Earth's atmosphere and will result in one of the most bizarre localised astronomical phenomena I've ever heard of.
Light-coloured objects will turn greenish, and dark-coloured objects will tend to look virtually invisible.
You might have been a reference to this on A Current Affair and on the news last night.
The effect will last for less than 2 minutes.
