"The unanticipated technical issue resulted from a surge in live listings as sellers ramp up for the holiday season."

Yes, nice to see that the serial dissemblers are still hard at work ...
“Today we’re dealing with phase two or phase three [he can’t even remember which one] of disruptive innovation. We’ve had the disruption, now we must disrupt our own disruption.”—John Donahoe (2007).

I dunno about Ebay Brumby but, I haven't got one of those gadgets. I think I might bid for it.

Now, back to media reports.

Ebay’s strategy brings site down

But the problems have exposed a web architecture that was unprepared for Ebay’s sudden change in tack. “These are not unique listings,” said Ms Steiner. “These are items that they are selling on every other e-commerce site out there.”

I was just reading one of the links that you posted.
PayPal Australia Needs to Improve upon its Deficiencies - AUSTRAC
A recent assessment of PayPal Australia by the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre has led the agency to believe that the system is laden with various deficiencies, and it needs to improve upon them. PayPal, on its end, has promised the center that it will "improve its act on anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing".

The word "deficiencies" was marked as a hyperlink so I was going to click on it, expecting to be taken to another article about the deficiencies. Wrong. The link takes you to a Naughty Dating site!

Best Match Secrets: Webinar replay

Thanks BNWT I look for your news every morning the link above all 45 mins in one link and 15 mins in the other. Comes down to the PC incorrect summary.

1. smart buyers have mostly left ebay, if ebay loses the average or dumb buyer ebay is finished. ( I agree here) . Apart from free postage helping ebay fees dumb buyers are happy adding up is too difficult.

2. There is too many sellers on ebay for numbers of buyers, and too much choice confuses current mainly year 6 reading skill buyers. Keep only sellers who make ebay the most money.

3.Thus best match is about numbers of sales divided by the number of times an item appears in search. Quite a few disputes expected from childish buyers.

4. Keep titles simple the morons have trouble with long sentences and big words.

5. Current sales more important that 6 week old sales. Use multi variation listings and multi buy BINs.

 In closing  Sales sales sales
