My hobby is taxidermy. I'm looking for a book called 'Stuff my Weasel'. I know the plot won't end well for the Weasel but I won't be complaining.

Contessa is that the book of The Roman Art of Dummy Spitting?

I am told the gladiators used to have a mouthpiece not unlike a dummy and if they were being beaten they would ptooooooeeee !!!! the mouthpiece in the hopes of distracting their opponent.
I am told the tactic was not very effective against seasoned opponents.

While that was a most interesting book, Poddy, no - these are separate editions.

My next suggestion for a book by which to be disappointed is A Journey from one AP mailbox to another from St Kilda to Epping: the illustrated edition. I'm sorry to report that there is no romance in it at all. The hero never so much as kisses anyone. The title may well give the impression it's an incredibly racy book, but this is grossly misleading.

Even worse: apparently the only person who ever bought a copy of the book claimed it never arrived even though he went searching for it in every mailbox from St Kilda to Epping. He filed an Item Not Received dispute, escaped within the first 2 seconds, and received his money back so fast that he didn't even have a chance to comb his hair.

He subsequently found it HAD been delivered - but the confusion arose because he actually lived in a completely different state to that in which this gripping travel adventure novel occurred. He was, in fact, looking in the wrong AP post boxes.

Such an easy mistake to make. Surely the seller should have had the fore-sight not to send the book at all, knowing that the buyer was going to be ultimately dissatisfied. Thank God for PayPal..................
