got to love word filters.
I remember my year 7 Netball team getting through 3/4 of a season with the name "The Far Cups" before anyone picked up the meaning.
Was actually an umpire who was so embarrassed when she said it fast out loud.

Oh Trish, thats a ripper! felafel yea it is!  Wish I had thought of that one.....I like FarCanal who used to be a ChinWag too.....it was funny seeing newbies (and some old posters) having the penny drop and realise that her name did in fact NOT mean a river far away

Something I like from my past. One of the kids shows I used to watch as a little 'n. T'was on the BBC but Auntie Beeb, nor I, figured it out until much later. The show was "Captain Pugwash, a character associated with it called..............................Seaman Staines

Some of Captain Pugwashes favourite exclamations or Pugwashisms:

"Dolloping doubloons/dolphins!"
"Coddling catfish!"
"Lolloping landlubbers!"
"Suffering seagulls!"
"Staggering stalactites!"
"Nautical nitwits!"
"Plundering porpoises!"
"Kipper me capstans!"
"Tottering turtles!"
"Dithering dogfish!"
"Scuttling cuttlefish!"
"Stuttering starfish!"
"Blistering Barnacles!"

Cut-Throat Jake has occasionally been known to utter the similar exclamation, "Scupper me skull-and-crossbones!"
