Title: To GST or NOT to GST
Post by: shyer on November 01, 2010, 01:58:50 PM
This link by BNWT is interesting reading and something that I really noticed with the AU dollar at the moment.

A wifes Christmas present.

I ordered this.

Under $700 delivered and buying with credit card a two year Australian Mastercard warranty

Teds or JB or all Oz retailers over $1200 with post over 70% discount. Not only does the country lose GST OZ retailers, repairers and wharehouses lose a sale.

now I realise the GSt is only 10% of the 70% price cut . The stock in OZ was imported pre AU dollar surge. The ?models? manufactures use in different markets with different pricing is where the other 60% is. If we want OZ retailers to be compeditive the playing field does  have to be level.
