I am curious to know if anyone bothers checking out the new "Big Deal" on e-bay?

I have a couple of times, but the products they are selling dont really seem like a great deal to me.

Stemschicky, I never have... but that's because I am an extremely focused shopper. I don't dawdle in aisles and wander around from shop to shop in RL, and on eBay I tend not to check "great buys" since inevitably they don't pertain to the things I want!

I usually only look for specific items, and that means all the Great Buys buttons and Thought You'd Like This buttons do absolutely nothing for me...

Im a bit the same countess, I have 3 specific areas I look, but I couldnt help myself looking at the Big Deal thing, and I am sure I could buy a bottle of perfume from a B&M way cheaper than they were advertising at a "sale of 70% off"

Do you think a lot of people would get sucked in?

Yes, I do. That's why the big button is there, I'd say. There are particular personality types attracted to the words "Deal" or "Bargain". These are often associated with attraction towards big shiny noticeable buttons and impulse buying.

I haven't because I too am focused.

Hubby did once, he really gets sucked into all the different adds on the net ;D, he's not that clued up on computers or the net. However the Big Deal didn't appear to be such a big deal went I went and had a look at what he was looking at but no doubt some will get sucked in.

There's a button on the eBay menu next to Real Estate.

The current 'Big Deal' is an LED torch!
