I've seen an increase in Westpac emails being sent to some email addresses. The very latest email (arrived this morning) is as follows:

As part of our efforts to meet the requirements of the Financial Services Authority we now ask all Westpac bank users,
to verify their account information. It's a smart and simple way to add an additional layer of protection to your account.
