Kevin Rudd was auctioned on eBay to raise money for charity as part of the press gallery's 10th annual Midwinter Ball held last week.
The winner and three friends can choose to hobnob with the PM at either the Lodge in Canberra or Kirribilli House in Sydney.
The winning bids for the other pollies up for auction:
Julia Gillard $15,203.47
Malcolm Turnbull $11,200.00

I can think of more fascinating people with whom to dine. I'm sure they're lovely people in their own way, but I wouldn't be paying to dine with any of them.

Don't know if it's hero worship ... I think it's more like the interest in a larger than life persona - from some of us that appreciate the artistic exhuberance.
But, my dear tellomon, expect EVERY one of us that is ever within 100 miles of Montello to drop in!!
