Cheapest LPG today (and has been for the last week):

Caltex/Safeway Balwyn    192 Whitehorse Rd & Jersey St 3103 Balwyn    25/11/10    49.5 cents / litre

Pepsi Max, $7.95 a 20 pack, at Woolworths. I bought a few.

Pepsi Max is my fuel it keeps me running on all 8 cylinders

53.8 / litre

If you use the Woolworths Rewards card and want that 8 cent/litre discount, then:
Caltex/Woolworths Cheltenham    299 Charman Rd & Park Rd    3192    Cheltenham    08/12/10 2:38 PM
59.9 / litre (which translates to 51.9 using your discount).

Everywhere else has SHOT UP to over 63 cents a litre for LPG.

Arrrgh...  Up in Sydney, the regular Caltex/Woolworths servos do NOT offer ANY discounts on LPG 'at this time' (as per the sticker on every LPG bowser).

I did come across one at Seven Hills - but that's enough Km out of my way to make it questionable value.


Nevertheless, even with a slightly worse fuel economy (litres/100km) at even the higher prices, it's still got petrol beat!

Unleaded E10  137.9
LPG     69.9

Ho ho ho.

Clearly Santa Claus does not run his sleigh on LPG or Unleaded Petrol. He couldn't AFFORD to go dashing around the world to visit as many chimneys as there are Christmas trees in living rooms...
