Title: What items do you collect (online purchasing or b&m purchasing)?
Post by: *CountessA* on October 21, 2009, 04:27:46 PM
Admit it. We all collect something - don't we? Possibly?

What are the things that send you diving into shops to see whether they have a new (as in, not already in your collection) something-or-other?

I collect music (of course).

I also collect Georgian silver, books, DVDs of classic movies, DVDs of BBC series, other DVDs, opera DVDs, sheet music, jewellery when I can afford what I want (not as often as I'd like), single-sided 78s, and other things. I would LIKE to collect maps - old fantastical maps (the older, the better), and in fact, I have my eye on a couple of maps which I want. I am thinking of delving into just a bit of coin collecting (Roman coins) but I will almost certainly be a mere amateur at it (I won't be collecting to the extent of being a true coinee).

If only I could collect vintage cars...

I'm sure there are other things I'd like to collect, and there are other things I also collect.

Now please, come forward with your collecting passions!

I collect 'interesting people', throughout my life I have collected quite a few.

The advantage of collecting what I collect is that what I collect can not be bought or sold, they are valued at much higher than mere money, they do not need special storage areas, they gather no dust, they are all one of a kind.

That is what I call a perfect collection  ;D
