Lacey, the lower the number of Megabytes per second for your download speed (0.43Mb/s for you to Anchorage in the UK as shown above), the slower your connection is.
The upload speed indicates your connection speed to UPLOAD things rather than download. (e.g., uploading an image to Photobucket, or uploading a web page if you're a web designer - that sort of thing).
You can see different speeds for people varying when they test their connection speed with different servers. Your download speed tested with an Adelaide server (700 miles from your location) is virtually the same as your download speed from the UK (7350 miles from your location).
If you look at my connection speed, you'll notice that it's around 19Mb/s when tested on the Sydney server (I'm in Melbourne), but it's around 8.5 or 9.5 Mb/s when testing further distances.
