I have had a question from a prospective buyer re sending a CD to France- How safe is this? And how much should it cost?
(Oz post site is saying $23.90 registered?)
Any input would be helpful! Thanks ;D

Bella, I don't know about sending to France, but I've had no problems receiving items FROM France...
If you send the CD as a parcel, it would be $11.00 airmail. (Registered airmail would be $23.90.)
If you send it as a letter (I think you can if you put it in one of those CD boxes), it would be $6.30 airmail. (Registered airmail - $12.00.)
(Anything larger than 260mm x 360mm, thicker than 20mm or heavier than 500g is considered a parcel.)

I have sent many parcels to France ............ never had a problem

No probs with mail in France, nor Gerrmany, Netherlands, Finland, UK or Estonia.
Italy and Greece are certainly different :).

Thank for your input RTers, especially on the price to charge. I'll now let that buyer know it is ok for them to bid!

Thank you Tello , I knew one day someone would eventually realise this

The word "most" in that context, though, is worrying... yes?
Bella, is this for an auction or BIN? Let us know how it all unfolds...!
Actually, I do remember sending some sheet music to France. I received an acknowledgement of its arrival certainly within 2 weeks, probably less but I can't recall exactly.

Looks like the postage costs may have turned the prospective buyer off - the auction for the cd ended with only one bid, to an ozzy address.
Ah well, we do our best to please 'em all!
Thanks again for your help OzRters - I am travelling (visiting family) at the moment and couldn't access my usual data.
I knew someone here would have the answers!
