When best match came in I asked Ebay Mong Daniel if we would have to refine our search each time we logged into ebay. He said "Yes"

TRY DOING THE FOLLOWING,

You can change the default setting
• Do a regular search using the description box
• Just above your search items gallery photos it says View as - list - customise view.
• Click on customise view (this is a small blue link)
• A new window will open, click on the advanced options and change to your preferred search.

I have just used these instructions. I then signed out. Signed back in. Did a search. Results came out in "Time ending soonest"

We have a winner

A couple of things can be drawn from this:
1. Ebay claims best match was brought in to simplify search for buyers. If a lot of people start permanently setting their search to time ending soonest (or whatever their pref is) and then ebay cut this ability off then they would effectively be admitting that bringing best match in in the first place was never about assisting buyers but was in fact always about controlling what you would find. IE supporting THEIR favored sellers.
2. Ebay Mong Daniel (like all ebay staff) has not the slightest idea what the hell he is talking about.

Oh, my goodness... I had wondered why my searches were still showing Price: Lowest first rather than Best Match. (When I performed searches to test the Best Match thing, I had to manually select it.) It's because I had already, long since, selected my preferences with that link!

I hadn't realised it could be selected to, as you put it, Bozo, KILL BEST MATCH.

Countess. The end of the arrow which attaches to the bow string has a nock on it which sort of clips onto the string. The term used when loading an arrow onto the bow is called "nocking the arrow" eg "I will nock the arrow". The bow is then drawn (string pulled back) & the archer then lets go of the string, called releasing the arrow.

You were nearly right. Just replace the letter c with the letter n.

Thanks bozo not only does it work I changed to newest listed I also changed the box under "browsing" ie within catagories to (ending soonest) . I now have best of both worlds.
