A guy with an incredible amount of talent, some seriously weird ideas, some odd plastic surgery, some inner loneliness, a lot of adulation, some tough times, some question marks... but still, so much talent that it shot out of him like a fireworks display.
50 is too young to die.

Loved his music, but he seemed to be a sad, lonely, confused man. I feel sorry for his children.

I feel sorry for Michael Jackson...being dead isn't the greatest thing in life....but seriously...just consider how this guy grew up.....not unlike people such as Judy Garland, Mickey Rooney, Elizabeth Taylor, Shirley Temple, and other child stars....he was a 'PRODUCT' at a very early age, no childhood, more than likely contracted for 25 years, like Liz taylor, Mickey Rooney and even Judy Garland was etc. There was an excellent doco on these child starts....including Liza Minelli.....ironic that two of these stars were also good friends of Jacko's. They had a lot in common, all damaged by stardom.
The way Michael Jackson was brought up and the fact that his childhood was non existent, probably had a lot to do with his eventual neurosis, and body dysmorphia, which was obviously an issue with this guy.
I'm never quick to judge, and never quick to jump onto a bandwagon to kick someone over 'Popular' opinion......I think there was a hell of a lot more to this talented man, than what the media portrayed......He was painfully shy from the time he was a child and that stayed with him right through his adult life...and yet, when he got on stage, he was the most outgoing, extroverted talent. I don't blame him for becoming weird...I think his fate was set at a time when he was too young to realise the outcome. Blame his greedy family.....obviously they're trying to implicate the doctor so they can sue the poor barstard.....only in America eh?

Morning Yib.....I agree .....there has to be balance...just look at kids like the Olsen Twins...totally dysfunctional upbringing in front of a world wide audience of people.....they're like walking commodities.......Danny Bonaduci was also a train wreck, along with many other child stars from shows like brady bunch, partridge family etc etc etc. They mince these kids for later life....can't think of many child stars who made it out unscathed.
If you're an adult then you can make up your own mind to sacrifice all other existent to be famous...but is that what the average kid really aspires to? And don't parents have some responsibility to ensure that a child is not constantly stressed and burdened with adult concepts ? As I said, I feel sorry for him....he was a very lonely boy and an even lonelier man.
