CarBuddy - Car Classifieds

CarBuddy.com.au is OZtion's new website for buying and selling cars, we decided to introduce a dedicated car classifieds website so that cars could be advertised correctly with detailed information and specifications. CarBuddy offers some great functions and features for selling or buying a car online. Features such as Eco & Safety data, valuation ranges, large images and directions to the car dealer make CarBuddy an informative and friendly site to use.

We launched the beta version of CarBuddy in early December and invited current car sellers on OZtion to list their cars. In just over 2 weeks we have seen over 3500 cars listed for sale.

We will be removing the "Cars For Sale" category on OZtion on the 31st December 2008. Car listings from the 1st January 2009 onwards can be listed on CarBuddy.com.au.

Standard ads are FREE until June 30 2009.

Note: OZtion members can use their OZtion email and password to quickly create a CarBuddy account.

Visit www.carbuddy.com.au today.

Regards,

OZtion Team

There are some later announcements, but this one is probably the most relevant one. The Standard ads for listing on CarBuddy.com.au remain free until 30th June.

Also currently applicable is this announcement:

Multi-Item Auction available today

We are excited to announce that Multi-Item Auction will be available today. The new feature will be added at 3.00pm AEDT today.

Multi-Item Auction listings allow a seller to offer two or more identical items in one auction listing. This means the auction can have more than one winner.

Ads on OZtion enhancing OZtion Marketing

You may have noticed the display ads from external advertisers appearing on OZtion today. If you haven't already seen them, take a look at the bottom of this page.

The decision to provide display ads on OZtion will inevitably increase our marketing activities. Revenue generated from these ads will be injected back into OZtion’s own marketing campaigns to ultimately increase the awareness of OZtion and maximise sales and growth potential.

Thank you to all for your outstanding support to date. We are certain we will all reap the benefits of this initiative.

Warm regards,

OZtion Team

Quicksales have removed all fees (http://www.quicksales.com.au/Company/news.aspx?id=201149#201149).

Previously it was 2% final value fees, no listing fees.
I assume that they are hoping to make enough revenue to keep the site viable by selling advertising space.

Abolishment of fees - quicksales is 100% FREE to sell

Good morning members,

We are very pleased to announce that from today quicksales is 100% FREE to sell. That's right, no final value fees whatsoever irrespective of what you are selling or the category in which you sell. 100% free to sell across the board - no exclusions, no disclaimers and no question that quicksales is the best value marketplace in Australia, if not the world!

As other websites and suppliers put their prices up, quicksales is not just putting prices down but abolishing them all together.

The 2% final value fee previously in place has been removed and quicksales is now proudly a 100% free marketplace. Whether choosing to list as a classified, auction or buy now, from today you will no longer pay a final value fee meaning 100% of the proceeds from the sale go directly into your pocket.

Any credit currently on your selling account can be utilised for either listing upgrades or be put towards a qshop package.

On the day that a certain other website is increasing its fees to what we believe is an absolutely ludicrous percentage we are thrilled to announce our new final value fee is 0% - it doesn't get much better value than that!

Any questions please do not hesitate to contact us via customercare@quicksales.com.au and as always, happy buying and (completely FREE) selling from the quicksales team!

Yes, removal of all fees is amazing.  Perhaps they are trying to generate interest in selling there, increasing what is available as more people list, thereby increasing buyers, resulting in a much more active site.

Then they'll put the fees back.

Changing the fee structure isn't their biggest problem - changing it at the wrong time is.  That's what they did a couple of years back - at least as far as the sellers with whom I have discussed the subject are concerned.

2% FVF was nothing and i wouldve been very happy to pay that if somebody friggin well bought something...anything!

dont reckon a $0 fvf will attract any more sellers

quicksales?? laughable

.....perhaps they need a name change
