If you remember the early days of the internet, then you probably remember using America Online, also known as AOL. But while AOL was an early example of a web browser, it wasn't the original. The very first web browser was used back when the internet was still being developed and before most consumers got their hands on it. That browser was called "WorldWideWeb” when it debuted in 1990, created by British computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee. Lee later renamed it “Nexus,” to differentiate it from the information space that it allowed people to surf.
