Bensweather.com Forecast Updated: Thursday, Jun 10 @ 10:05am
A trough of low pressure moving inland to our north is bringing a welcomed cool-down, enjoy it while you can as our first major heatwave of the season is on tap for us next week with record high temperatures likely! Expect mostly sunny skies today with a few high clouds around as temperatures top out in the upper 60's, continued breezy at times. High pressure will slowly build in across the region Friday through the weekend bringing a gradual warm-up. Highs will reach the mid-70's on Friday, topping out around 80-degrees over the weekend, while overnight lows generally cool to the 40's. This ridge will amplify further next week pushing daytime temps well into the 80's, possibly reaching the 90-degree mark through midweek, some of the wamest readings we've experience in a few years! We could also see a little subtropical moisture trickle in later in the week, but not enough to cool us down with any thunderstorms, just add to the misery with increased humidity. Temperatures will cool slightly towards next weekend but remain above average as our forecast stays dry.
