Well Well.... seems ebay Oz have warned the ebay UK about us rogue Knights !!

Here's the slap in all it's glory...

It has recently come to our attention that one of your posts on our Community Boards breached our Boards Usage policy.

You can try to appeal it. Shaneoz can certainly see that the link is not to a commercial site, and you certainly posted no javascript, etc.

yibida - its not the first one which contained a link to the new Round Table which got slapped. They would obviously prefer to keep all posting on their boards rather than have links redirecting posters. Understandable from their perspective I guess

I wonder whether it's worth your emailing Shane and explaining that this site is not a commercial site and that a link to it doesn't constitute grounds for that slap.

Shane's welcome here if he wants to visit and check out what we're doing, of course. We'd even give him a comfortable chair and no Spanish Inquisition. (But is this mere cunning? For everyone knows, do they not, that NO ONE EXPECTS... THE SPANISH INQUISITION.)

I am sure that eBay are keeping an eye on our humble innocent site.

Now they could just log on here and overturn the undeserved slaps all at once without having to read the mountains of mail.
Great labour (labor) saving device. The eBay mods then would have time to have a cup of coffee then.

It would also relieve the sting of the slap as well by removing the insult from the injury.
Being able to display the injustice is like a balm and helps the healing process.

With respect to the slap, I could imagine eBay considering the .com url as reason enough to justify the classification of this site as commercial.

Obviously they could look harder and be convinced otherwise - but
1. That would mean actually checking the content which has a labour cost and room for interpretation - whereas a simple .com rule could even be automated.
2. It's an easy way to kill off references to this site.
