Title: Slapped into submission on my first post

My very first post on the new ebay forum & I got slapped, just like Carrie when she went to Paris. In fact I have never been slapped, not once, in 6 years posting to the RT

Slapped because another op mentioned the Oz round table.

I think my post had been trolled by a saint or one of her cronies because I mentioned "be careful of when the saints come marching in".

What a disgrace ebay is to the spirit & vibe of the wonderful people who posted there. They're not posting there now.

Hi Tiger glad you made it over.. I also received my first ever slap in all the years I have been around, no big thing, in fact it's almost a badge of honor really when you think about it lol

Well, it was a bit of a shock to me & I fired a very nasty letter off to them straight away asking them to explain their action. No reply was the answer.

I am glad I found my way into the light here, I don't feel cold & lonely anymore.

It is not visible to anyone else unless you untick the box in the member profile section and make it public. Tigerlily, I didn't see the post that you got slapped for. It had been deleted when I checked the Hot Topic board.

I was slapped because I replied to a post. I never mentioned anything that could possibly warrant a slap.

Sorry to hear you received a slap for just replying to a post, sadly many of us have had that happen from time to time, it can feel extremely unfair when you don't feel what you posted warranted it.  Wear them with a badge of honour.

Glad you have appealed it and hopefully it may get overturned.

I am in the very same boat as you, I got my first slap today, very nasty place at the moment, once eBay sorts the aggressor out it will be okay again, there are some lovely people there just sad eBay will allow this nasty behaviour to hurt go genuine eBayer's.

I think the slapping that goes on over there is silly and the mods dont even bother to really investigate why they are slapping in the first place....

I have developed a callous where the slaps land... It doesn't hurt so much anymore.

But I hope you don't need to develop such an appendage..
