Seems they've made a comeback through the classroom:

The Drinking Bird is back!

It may have been called by many names, the Drinking Bird, Drinking/Dunking Bird, Drinking Happy Bird or even Dippy the Drinking Bird Toy but almost everyone remembers the drinking bird, a hard-to-find toy with at least a twinge of nostalgia. Now he's back, disguised as a great physics demonstration of heat and thermodynamics.

I remember them too, and I also remember thinking that you had to be rich to have one  :D

Afternoon wonderwoman.  Did you manage to satisfy your hunger with enough chicken nuggets the other day?  Can;t have you going hungry.  You need to maximise your super human strength.  ;D

Oh and do you have some chocolate?  I have nearly exhausted the lot supplied by Smee.
