Air Express workers go on strike

Domestic and international air freight operations could be disrupted as hundreds of air freight workers walk off the job around the country tonight.
About 450 Australian Air Express employees are involved in the 24-hour stop-work action over a pay claim.
The Transport Workers Union says industrial action has been sparked by the company paying contract workers less than full-time employees.
The union also claims security training for employees, who handle cargo from overseas, is not up to scratch.

6 weeks from Christmas... I'm sure a lot of people are going to find themselves in the ordure as a result of this.

I was wondering if anyone has used "pack and send"?
One of my kids wants to buy a bike through ebay, location is Pyrmont, which I think is in the centre of Sydney? going to Bendigo.
Anyone got a rough idea of what that would cost?
Is it the best way to courier stuff? or are there better alternatives?
There appears to be a P and S in that suburb is why I thought they may be best.
Havent contacted seller yet as to whether they would be prepared to drop it there, or do they pick up?

Golden, I imagine Pack and Send would be pretty expensive. The bike may to be dismantled for shipping (usually the handlbars have to be taken off so that it can pack flat).
If the seller is prepared to package it you could try Greyhound.

Thanks Wheels, yes I thought it would be expensive but I sorta had to ask, so I could put the idea to bed, and explain to the "hassler" its just not viable.
